A performance revolution that remains compatible with your existing gear!

Improving performance without making your foil quiver obsolete is a commitment that matters to us. We kept that promise when moving from our V2 to V3 foils, and it remains true with the V3 Atmo foils:

If you already have a V3 foil setup, nothing changes! V3 Atmo foils retain the V3 architecture.
If you have a V2 foil setup, all combinations of V2, V3 and V3 Atmo parts are made possible by our backward-compatible fuselages.

The only exceptions are our competition foils, the Ypra Race and Ypra Freestyle, which use the new Micro V3 Atmo fuselage.

Which fuselage should you use with V3 Atmo front wings and stabs?

These foil parts are designed to be assembled with a V3 fuselage.

The exception is the Ypra Freestyle and Ypra Race V3 Atmo front wings and stabs, which are assembled with the new Micro V3 Atmo fuselage.

Which mast should you use with V3 Atmo foils?

We recommend the latest-generation masts. However, our backward-compatible fuselages allow you to use all V2 and V3 aluminum or carbon masts.

The exception is the Ypra Race 112 mast, recognizable by its mast foot with only two screw inserts. Compatibility with Ypra Race V3 Atmo front wings and stabs is ensured by a dedicated Micro V3 Atmo fuselage.

Can you build a hybrid setup using V2, V3 or V3 Atmo parts?

Yes, older-generation parts can be combined with V3 Atmo foils thanks to our backward-compatible fuselages, whether you are using older masts, stabs or V2 and V3 front wings. However, the balance and performance of these hybrid setups will be less predictable.

What are the differences between Perf Series, Team Series and Pro Team Series foils?

In terms of compatibility, there is no difference. They can all be combined with one another. The only limitation is keeping the programs consistent.

These three foil ranges differ through their technologies and shapes. The Perf Series focuses on accessibility with a fiberglass construction and plug-and-play spare parts. The Team Series, designed for passionate riders looking to step up to the next level, features the new V3 Atmo shapes and an HM carbon construction. Which stabs are recommended for each front wing?

The Perf and Team Series ranges remain true to a simple philosophy: one-piece stabs that are easy to choose, install and use. Pure plug & play.

Each front wing is paired with the recommended stab to create a balanced setup that remains consistent with its intended program:

You can then fine-tune the foil’s behavior through the choice of size: a larger stab provides more lift, stability and support, while a smaller stab reduces drag, unlocks more speed and makes the foil more maneuverable.

The approach is different for the Pro Team Series, where most models are offered as Tail Wings, allowing you to adjust the following elements:

The front to rear span by choosing an S, M or L shaft length.
The Lower or Upper architecture.
The angle using different shims.

What is a Lower or Upper architecture?

The Upper configuration places the Tail Wing above the Shim Tail, giving it more protection from contact with the bottom. The Lower configuration positions it below the Shim Tail, farther from the surface and the Front Wing wake, which reduces ventilation and promotes cleaner glide. In return, the Lower Tail Wing is more exposed to contact with the bottom. Learn more.

Do you need a different fuselage for a Lower or Upper configuration?

No. The V3 fuselage is compatible with both Upper and Lower Tail Shafts. These Tail Shafts are available in 12 K Carbon Clear Team Series construction or 3K Texalium Purple Clear Pro Team Series construction.

For a Micro V3 Atmo fuselage, choose the Upper or Lower Tail Shaft for the Micro V3 fuselage.

Can you mount an Upper Tail Wing on a Lower Tail Shaft?

No. An Upper Tail Wing requires an Upper Tail Shaft and an Upper Shim Tail. A Lower Tail Wing requires the corresponding Lower components. The two architectures are not interchangeable.

Do Upper and Lower Tail Shafts fit the same V3 fuselage?

Yes. Upper and Lower Tail Shafts use the same connection standard on the V3 fuselage. Only the rear architecture, between the Tail Shaft, Shim Tail and Tail Wing, changes.

Can Tail Wings be mounted on a Micro V3 Atmo system?

Yes, the Tail Wing mounting patterns remain the same. An Upper or Lower Tail Wing can be used with either a V3 or Micro V3 Atmo system as long as it is paired with the corresponding Tail Shaft and Shim Tail for the correct fuselage diameter. However, V3 and Micro V3 Tail Shafts are not interchangeable on the fuselage side.

Can GONG tail wings be used on shafts from other brands?

The two mounting screws on the Tail Wing have a spacing that is compatible with many foils on the market, providing broad cross-brand compatibility.
