GEAR: NEW YPRA RACE V3 ATMO UHM CARBON MAST!
A mast that disappears through the water!
The new 112 UHM Carbon Pro Team Series mast, available in Top Plate or Deep Tuttle, completes the Ypra Race V3 Atmo setup following the launch of the foil last week.
How did we gain performance? By taking an in-depth look at the viscous effects that generate drag around the mast, rather than simply trying to reduce its frontal area.
A far more advanced approach to hydrodynamics, driven by our new R&D team, cutting-edge digital tools, a Team winning world titles, a new state-of-the-art production facility, and UHM construction technology that allows us to build the ultimate racing mast.
The result of this true piece of engineering:
-8% drag, +60% bending stiffness, and +60% torsional stiffness.
Huge gains that translate into one very simple feeling on the water: the mast cuts through the water with exceptional fluidity and seems to disappear as speed increases.

A strong focus on viscosity
When looking to reduce mast drag, the obvious approach might be to focus primarily on reducing its thickness and therefore its frontal area.
We chose to go much further.
At high speed, a significant part of the resistance comes from the viscous effects generated as water flows along the profile. So it’s not simply about presenting less material to the water, but about working on the way the water meets, flows along and then leaves the mast.
This thinking guided the new shape of the Ypra Race V3 Atmo.
Rather than drastically reducing thickness, we chose to make a much greater reduction to the profile chord, which drops from 112 mm to just 82.7 mm, while reducing thickness to 12.6 mm.
This choice significantly reduces the length of the profile in contact with the flow, and therefore the associated viscous effects.
The result: 8% less drag.
A huge gain at this level of performance, directly changing the way the mast moves through the water.

Compatible with the V3 and Micro V3 Atmo fuselages
The new mast foot of the Ypra Race V3 Atmo UHM is designed for:
-
The Micro V3 Atmo fuselage, which pushes the performance concept to the limit with its reduced diameter and is also used on Ypra Freestyle setups. This is the fuselage that must be used with your front wing and Ypra Race V3 Atmo stab.
-
The standard V3 fuselage, which allows the new Ypra Race V3 Atmo UHM mast to be paired with all front wings and stabs in the V3 and V3 Atmo ranges.
Conversely, the Micro V3 Atmo fuselage is compatible with all V3 masts (except the Ypra Race 112 mast), allowing you to ride Race or Freestyle setups with the same fuselage.

UHM to lock in the ride
The Pro Team Series construction using TORAY M46J Ultra High Modulus carbon delivers the stiffness and precision required at this level of performance.
The monolithic, foam-free structure ensures direct transmission of every input between the board, rider and foil. At high speed, this stiffness becomes essential to maintain total control and make the most of every watt of power.
Less deformation. More precision. More usable speed.

Top Plate or Deep Tuttle?
Two versions are available.
The Top Plate allows precise adjustment on US rails to fine-tune the balance of the setup by adjusting mast position and rake according to the board and rider.
The Deep Tuttle offers fully integrated mounting that is stiffer, more streamlined and lighter for boards equipped with this box, but without adjustment.
Two interfaces, one ambition: maximize performance.

The Ypra Race V3 Atmo UHM 112 cm is above all the result of one obsession: winning races!
A profile designed to slice cleanly through the water, minimum wetted surface area, and extreme stiffness to maintain precision under the highest loads.
Less resistance. Exceptional penetration through the water. More speed. More VMG.
