DRYFLEECE is a range of products designed as technical protection to accompany each phase of your sessions, with a clear objective: to stay warm, dry and mobile, whatever the conditions.

The parka, derived from our original poncho, is designed for lifestyle use in “off session” offering an effective barrier against wind, rain and cold thanks to its 10K waterproof nylon construction, glued seams and drying fleece lining .

SIZES AND FIT

The DRYFLEECE parka has a less loose fit on the body, designed for more lifestyle use: it can be worn perfectly over your everyday outfit.

The sleeves are fitted but comfortable, with a tightening tab at the bottom of the sleeve to keep in warmth on cold days.

Its length provides effective protection up to the knees, allowing you to remain perfectly covered.

Our parkas are unisex, available in sizes XS to XXL, with a straight, long cut. We recommend choosing your usual size for optimal layering.

Surfing, wing foiling, kitesurfing, SUP, windsurfing, foiling: it meets a simple and universal need—retaining body heat and protecting against the elements when exposed between sessions.

It's also a good choice if you're looking for a garment that goes beyond just sports. Its more streamlined and structured cut compared to a poncho gives it the feel of a true parka. So you can wear it while waiting for conditions, preparing your gear, watching others sail, heading home, or simply braving a cold, rainy day.

Why choose a dryfleece parka?

Its main advantage is combining water protection and thermal comfort in a single garment. The coated nylon outer shell boasts a 10,000 mm waterproof rating, while the soft DRYFLEECE fleece lining provides warmth and comfort. This gives you a protective layer designed for environments where rain, splashes, humidity, and cold combine.

Knee length is also a key factor. The DRYFLEECE jacket primarily protects the upper body; this parka extends much lower to provide poncho-like coverage, particularly around the thighs and hips. This is especially welcome when you're resting at the surf spot after a session.

Parka or dryfleece poncho?

Choose the DRYFLEECE Parka if you value versatility and a more classic fit. Its full-length zip, streamlined silhouette, adjustable sleeves, and numerous pockets make it easy to keep with you long after your session.

The DRYFLEECE poncho remains the most suitable option when the priority is having ample room, especially for changing underneath. The parka shares the same core values of warmth and protection but serves a different purpose: it's primarily designed to be worn as clothing. Therefore, don't choose between the two solely based on their warmth level; choose according to your intended use.

After the session

The DRYFLEECE Parka truly shines when you step out of the water. Its fleece lining provides an instantly warm and soft feel while also wicking away moisture and drying quickly. This means you can slip it on while still damp to quickly insulate yourself from the elements.

The sleeves are intentionally lined with soft polyester along their entire length. This allows the arms to slide more easily into the sleeves than with a fully fleece-lined sleeve, making them much more comfortable to put on when the skin or clothing is still damp.

Choose what you wear underneath

Layer your clothing according to the conditions. In cool weather, a parka can be worn over a base layer or a light garment. When temperatures drop significantly or you'll be standing still for extended periods, add a suitable thermal layer underneath the parka. Waterproofing protects against water; the lining provides warmth; but your clothing should always be appropriate for the temperature and duration of exposure.

Avoid choosing an unnecessarily tight cut if you know you'll regularly be wearing several thick layers underneath. The parka intentionally has a more streamlined silhouette than the poncho: you need to maintain enough freedom of movement to fully benefit from its protection and comfort.

On the spot

The two-way, TPU-coated, waterproof zipper allows you to easily adapt the opening to the situation. You can open the parka from the bottom for greater freedom of movement when sitting or moving around, then zip it completely closed when you need maximum coverage.

The adjustable Velcro cuffs also allow you to adapt the sleeves to the clothing worn underneath and reduce the entry of cold air and water. For optimal protection when conditions worsen, remember to adjust the cuffs rather than leaving them wide open.

Pockets and storage

The two outer pockets are lined with fleece to provide a warm and comfortable space for your hands. Their STORM construction uses a wide welt above the opening to limit direct water entry. They are designed for comfort and quick access.

For sensitive items, opt for the zippered inner chest pocket, which is particularly well-suited for a phone. The large open inner pocket is ideal for quickly accessing larger, less moisture-sensitive accessories. As with all technical clothing, however, any item that absolutely must remain dry deserves its own appropriate waterproof cover.

Mistakes to avoid

A 10,000 mm waterproof rating doesn't mean the parka replaces gear designed for immersion. It's designed to protect you from the elements on land, not for use in water. Similarly, waterproof and STORM constructions significantly improve protection against water ingress, but don't transform pockets into underwater compartments for electronics.

Don't mistake this parka for a simple poncho with a zipper. Its more streamlined cut is intentionally designed for a different purpose. If your top priority is having maximum room to change clothes directly underneath, then opt for a poncho specifically designed for that.

The right associations

The DRYFLEECE Parka naturally fits into your session gear alongside your wetsuit and neoprene accessories suited to the water temperature. The combination creates a logical continuity: the neoprene provides thermal protection in the water, and the parka takes over as soon as you return to the surf spot.

For particularly cold days, complete your equipment with accessories that limit heat loss at the extremities: a hat and suitable thermal clothing are particularly effective when you have to wait a long time before or after your session.

Does the parka really keep you warm?

Yes. That's the primary goal of the DRYFLEECE program. Its fleece lining is designed to provide a high level of warmth and softness. Its knee-length hem also covers a large part of the body: ideal for staying warm on the beach before a session or for quickly warming up after getting out of the water.

What is the difference between this and the DRYFLEECE waterproof poncho?

The parka incorporates the fundamentals that make the DRYFLEECE poncho so effective — weather protection, warmth and comfort — in a more fitted cut. In short, we removed material from the body and sleeves to facilitate changing before/during/after a session; we reduced the width of the collar, designed to fit over the head even with a helmet, and adjusted the hood a little more around the face.
It therefore reduces the excess material of the poncho that made it a poncho and simplifies its wear for more everyday use. It is thus particularly versatile.

Can it be easily put on after a session, even with damp clothes?

Yes. The sleeves are fully lined with a soft, smooth polyester, unlike the fleece lining the rest of the interior. This is an evolution of the entire DRYFLEECE program this year: it allows your arms to easily slip into the sleeves, even when you're wet or when the layers underneath tend to snag.

5. Can the DRYFLEECE lining absorb moisture after a session?

Yes. DRYFLEECE fleece combines an ultra-soft feel, moisture-wicking properties, and quick-drying properties. It therefore provides immediate warmth and comfort after exercise while effectively managing residual moisture.

What cut does this parka offer?

It maintains a generous length, reaching to the knee, similar to a poncho, but with a more streamlined width. The result is a less bulky and more structured silhouette, easy to wear both on the beach and for everyday life. Note that it's not a poncho; changing clothes in it isn't very practical!

Is it designed solely for water sports?

No. It was developed around the needs of the practitioner—cold, humidity, wind, and waiting at the spot—but its more lifestyle-oriented parka cut greatly expands its use. It can also become a warm and waterproof jacket for travel, walks, and generally for cold and wet days.

What pockets does the parka have?

It has four additional pockets: two external pockets with warm fleece lining in STORM construction to limit water entry; an internal zipped chest pocket suitable for a phone; and a large internal open pocket, convenient for quickly storing accessories.
