Technical equipment for water sports

Prolimit fits into the GONG universe with a range of technical equipment dedicated to water sports. Founded in the Netherlands in 1980, the brand supports windsurf, kite, wing, SUP and other board-sport riders with products designed to meet the challenges encountered on the water.

Its approach focuses on comfort, protection and freedom of movement. Equipment is developed between the Netherlands and Cape Town, South Africa, two complementary environments that allow products to be tested in different wind, temperature and riding conditions.

Decades of expertise in water sports

Since its beginnings, Prolimit has built its expertise around the specific needs of riders. The brand develops a complete range including wetsuits, harnesses, protection and numerous accessories designed to extend sessions and improve comfort on the water.

This experience allows it to offer equipment suited to different sports and seasons, from summer riding to winter sessions requiring greater insulation.

Prolimit wetsuits, harnesses and accessories

Wetsuits play a central role in the Prolimit range. Their design seeks a balance between warmth, flexibility and mobility, with different thicknesses and constructions depending on water temperature and intended use.

The brand also develops harnesses for kite and windsurfing, as well as booties, gloves, hoods and protective equipment. These products naturally complement the board-sport gear available at GONG, allowing riders to adapt their setup to conditions and discipline.

Materials and technologies in constant evolution

Material research is an important part of Prolimit's development. The brand uses NaturePrene2®, a material based on FSC-certified natural rubber developed as an alternative to traditional neoprene while retaining the stretch and insulation properties sought in a wetsuit.

Different thermal linings, seam constructions and panel combinations complete this approach to promote mobility and insulation while limiting water entry. At GONG, Prolimit equipment therefore offers complementary solutions for staying protected and comfortable with gear suited to the demands of sessions on the water.
