I-SUP boards are high-end boards created by Patrice Guénolé, a pioneering shaper in the world of Stand Up Paddle, and a team of passionate engineers.

The I-SUP Family is THE compact big board to delight the whole family . It's the ideal solution for enjoying the water alone or with a partner on a board with ample volume that allows for all kinds of fun. Sometimes it's a leisurely board, sometimes a surfboard, sometimes a diving board, sometimes a sun lounger for relaxing by the sea… There are countless ways to enjoy this family-friendly Stand Up Paddleboard.

Everything fits into a redesigned bag where the board, all your equipment (along with that of the rest of the family!) cleverly find their place without any hassle.

In surfing, you start out from the open water and it glides effortlessly. It carves very smooth turns. For the more daring, its rounded nose is ideal for attempting nose rides.

Note that this is the perfect board for strong beginners who need total stability.

Outline

This shape is designed to be 200% accessible . Its very generous lines are designed to promote comfort whether alone or with others .

Thanks to its generous volume and width, this shape offers superb paddling comfort for one or two people. The outline, with its rounded tail, is extremely buoyant, forgiving of any positioning errors and allowing for effortless turning.

Whether on waves or swells, the takeoff is early because the volume distribution of an inflatable board allows it to get going quickly on the wave. It's a very easy board, even for two people! Fun guaranteed!!!

Rocker

The rocker is almost constant for fast paddling and the nose is slightly raised to handle the slope.

Round Tail

A round tail for maximum maneuverability and even more glide.

Rails

The rails are round, like on all inflatable boards. But we used this natural shape to help the water glide over the board. The water doesn't stick to the rails.

Nose

The very wide nose longboard allows you to do real noserides and take the family in front: it's easy, really fun and this big nose will correct your mistakes.

US Box

This I-SUP features a US Box center fin box, the essential standard for high-end fins. Since fins account for up to 50% of a board’s performance, GONG has chosen this precise and versatile system for its inflatable SUPs.

The result: a huge selection of high-performance fins to fine-tune your board according to your skill level, riding style, and the conditions.

Ridge Traction Pad

With its perfect grip and 5 mm thickness, the new Ridge Traction Pad delivers outstanding comfort and absolute traction. Your footing stays fully secure, giving you precise, razor-sharp control.

The contact with the board feels firm and direct for confident footing and committed paddling performance, while still maintaining the cushioning comfort of a 5 mm pad.

Adjustable Straps

Our iSUPs are equipped with the ELS (Extendable Load Strap) system. These adjustable, elastic, and stylish straps have been specially designed to let you easily secure all your gear on board.

We made the ELS system extremely simple and intuitive to use. The elastic straps are easy to adjust, so there’s no more struggling to squeeze your bag under tight bungees — sometimes unsuccessfully — or risking damage to your belongings. Simply loosen the straps, place your gear, then tighten them again for a perfect fit around your load.

The ELS system makes your life easier, saves you valuable time, and adds a modern, stylish touch to your board!

Carrying Handles

The board is equipped with multiple carrying handles for easy handling in all situations.

A padded central neoprene handle allows you to carry the board comfortably under your arm.

Two ergonomic “turtle” silicone handles positioned at the front third make it easy either to pull the board over obstacles or to drag it across the water when exiting.

Ergonomic front and rear silicone handles further simplify launching, carrying, and maneuvering the board both in and out of the water. Truly practical in every situation!

Transport Bag

Everything comes packed in a super practical and durable wheeled transport bag.

The wheels are positioned on the opposite side of the carrying panel, so they won’t bump against you while walking or roll over the shoulder straps.
The backpack straps are heavily padded and very comfortable.
The handles are extremely sturdy and pleasant to grip.
The front pocket has been enlarged to isolate and protect your paddle from the rest of your gear… while also leaving room for your wetsuit, poncho, spare clothes, and whatever else ;), now without any space constraints!
And the compression straps reduce the bag’s volume to the absolute minimum.

Double-Action Pump

The included high-speed double-action pump is extremely efficient, helping you be the first on the water without exhausting yourself:

Double action: air is pumped both when pushing and pulling the handle during the first stage of inflation.
Single action: during the final strokes, when inflation becomes more demanding as the board pressure increases, switch to single action mode so the pump inflates only when pushing the handle down. It’s far more comfortable and efficient!

Inflatable I-SUP Technology - Woven Fusion

Thanks to its high-end Woven Dropstitch Fusion inflatable technology, GONG I-SUP boards are sleek, lightweight, highly rigid, and incredibly durable.

The I-SUPs feature a double thermo-welded layer on the deck and the hull. It is this membrane that gains in lightness while maintaining the rigidity of a double layer.

The dropstitch used inside our I-SUPs is a Woven Dropstitch : it is the best assembly technique of the inflatable world, for best in class performance, rigidity and lightness.

Woven Dropstitch technology, the best compromise between weight/stiffness/strength. Combining our historical Double Layer Welded technology with the new Woven Dropstitch, this technology is by far the most reliable, lightest and stiffest.
Weight savings of around 20% compared to the classic Double Layer (no glue between the 2 welded PVC layers).
Rigidity gain of 30% compared to standard technology.
Strength gain: twice as thick as standard technology.
Double layer of PVC on the rails.
Premium Woven Dropstitch: the slightest irregularity is refused and the batch is resold to low cost factories.
High density Dropstitch Woven: with more threads per square meter than a basic Woven, it resists much higher pressures, lasts much longer, and does not present a risk of explosion.
Working pressure: 15 PSI. Our Stand Up Paddle Boards are perfectly rigid at 15 PSI. There is no need to overinflate them, but you can mount them at 20 PSI without any problem.

We keep in stock all the elements that make up your Board because we are manufacturers. So, you can easily repair them and make them last for more than ten years. It’s as simple as repairing a bicycle wheel.

What size board is needed for the I-SUP Family?

While anything is possible, we outline the main uses here:

The 12'0 x 36'' Family:

Boat trips of less than an hour on all bodies of water.
Ideal for one adult plus one child.
Not great for surfing. More like 90% cruising/playing and 10% surfing. It glides well straight down.
Template: super easy.

The 13'5 x 36'' Family:

Which quiver?

This board is a must-have – versatile and easy to transport! Choose the perfect gear to go with it:

A 3-piece 30% Carbon Mix paddle, or even better, a 100% Carbon Mix paddle for you;
A 3-piece adjustable aluminium kids’ paddle for your co-pilot!
A top-of-the-range fibreglass fin designed for surfing and cruising.

What paddle length?

Your paddling technique, posture, and stroke rate all depend on your paddling style. You'll need to set your paddle quite high for a leisurely paddle trip lasting several hours. Conversely, your paddle will be set very low for surfing, as you'll need a high stroke rate to catch a wave. Take the time to properly adjust your paddle, as it's the driving force behind this activity, and this adjustment will largely determine your stability and performance.

Some examples:

A 100% surf session, adjust your paddle between your height and +10cm.

For a more relaxed surfing experience, a paddle with a +10cm length will be perfect.

When paddling, adjust your paddle between +10 and +20cm.

Which leash?

Take a leash that is approximately the length of your board and at least 7mm in diameter.

Check its condition before each session and replace it annually. It's your life jacket.

Good to know:

Never leave your board in the sun, especially an inflatable one, which heats up very quickly. It could start to peel apart because the materials become brittle in the heat. Never store it under a car window or near any heat source.

Never let your board get battered by the waves, especially near the shore. You must protect it from the harshest forces. A wave that sweeps your board away and rolls it can cause damage.

Don't hold onto the leash indefinitely, as it can break under very high tension. Avoid large waves and don't resist. If it breaks, it's easy to replace but frustrating.

Stay away from oysters: they are one of the few shellfish that can cut your board and sink it in seconds. Extreme caution is advised.

Don't let your inflatable surfboard rub against anything for extended periods. For example, on a boat, your board might move with each wave and rub against the same spot for hours. The material will disintegrate because it will be sanded down. You'll end up with a hole that will need to be patched.

Never put the board between you and the wave: risk of injury such as a broken nose ;-)

Don't paddle offshore in offshore winds, and avoid windy outings as they are rarely enjoyable and always dangerous. Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is an activity that carries real risks, even in seemingly calm conditions. Always anticipate these risks and protect yourself.
