Presentation

The Ypra Freestyle Micro V3 Atmo Pro Team Series is the carbon front wing dedicated to pure freestyle in wing and kite foiling. Its program: arrive at full speed, charge hard, pop very high, land cleanly, repop, and maintain control in the most committed phases.

It's the preferred wing of GONG pros in freestyle competition, world champion in 2025 and 2026 in the premier category. It combines everything needed to perform: approach speed, stability, pop, repop, control, strength, and precision.

Approach speed is key. Pros reach the impulse at around 29 to 30 knots, with a Vmax measured at 33 knots for Malo on choppy water with the full Freestyle Micro V3 Atmo setup. These figures explain the incredible jump heights of the pros.

Its pop is powerful. You ride full front foot, charge, and as soon as you release, the wing catapults you. The repop is equally important, and after a landing, you need to reconnect firmly, regain control, and take off immediately.

Its fast profile, very forgiving of stalling, offers excellent approach speed, relatively easy takeoff, and crisp reconnection during landings. The wide range of attack angles allows you to charge hard even in chop, correct, release a tip, reconnect, without being punished instantly.

Its ratio of 7.0 to 7.8 remains quite high for freestyle to maintain speed and stability, while limiting the wingspan to 70 cm on the 660 and 700 to avoid unwanted tip releases. The centered surface, thin tips, and short lever provide a compact, responsive, and highly reactive foil.

The Micro V3 Atmo fuselage reduces drag and boosts acceleration before takeoffs. The difference in glide is incredible, especially in kite foiling, with a sensation of unrestricted glide and a stronger construction on smaller sizes.

Available in 460 cm² for kite foiling, 660 cm² for wing freestyle in medium to strong wind, and 700 cm² for wing freestyle in light wind, the Ypra Freestyle Micro V3 Atmo Pro Team Series is made for riders who want to pop high, land cleanly, and perform the most committed tricks.

Freestyle ratio

The Ypra Freestyle Micro V3 Atmo features a ratio of 7.0 on the 700 to 7.8 on the 460. This is quite high for a freestyle program, to maintain speed, rail-to-rail stability, and control during takeoff.

The aspect ratio is deliberately kept moderate on the 660 and 700 sizes to limit the wingspan to 70 cm. In wing freestyle, this reduces unintended tip breaches during pop, in chop, or during very inclined maneuvers.

Thus, we retain a fast, stable, and sufficiently compact wing to charge hard, arrive at full speed, and maintain control in critical phases.

Compact outline

The compact outline keeps a wing quick to reposition, responsive in pitch, and capable of instant response underfoot.

The centred surface with fine tips offers high-quality pivot, enhances pop, and maintains excellent manoeuvrability. The foil remains compact, lively, and easy to control during tricks.

This compactness allows for cleaner sequences, quicker corrections, and keeps the foil readable in rotations, landings, and relaunches.

Fast and forgiving profile

The fast profile with high stall tolerance offers a high approach speed, relatively easy takeoff, and a solid reattachment during landings.

It is optimized to accelerate harder, provide more stability at high speed, and allow you to arrive at full speed before the pop. This is essential in modern freestyle, where amplitude largely comes from speed.

Its wide range of attack angles prevents unexpected stalls, maintains control during adjustments, and allows you to ride tip out without ventilating immediately.

Camber and pop

The significant camber in the intrado boosts the low end, pop, and front foot pressure. The front wing pushes strongly underfoot and responds directly to pressure.

You ride fully on the front foot, load up, then the wing releases powerfully when you let go. This response transforms compression into height with a very direct feel.

The pop benefits from the same temperament: after a landing, the wing re-engages, releases, and allows you to immediately move into the next trick.

Anhedral and tips

The slight anhedral provides more control at high speeds, increased stability in carving turns, and greater forgiveness on landings. The wing remains predictable during approach, take-off, and landings.

The rounded tips reduce risks during frequent freestyle crashes and contact with the wing, without compromising the speed or precision of the foil.

In a program where tricks are attempted high, fast, and sometimes close to the foil, this more reassuring design truly matters.

Micro V3 Atmo

The shorter fuselage connection boosts manoeuvrability, pitch responsiveness, and instant pop. The lever is shortened, the foil responds faster, and the sensation becomes more lively.

The Micro V3 Atmo fuselage, thinner and more hydrodynamic, reduces drag and allows for stronger acceleration before take-offs. In freestyle, more speed on approach means more energy in the pop.

On smaller sizes, especially in kite foiling, the gain is even more noticeable: proportionally to the wing's surface, the reduced diameter significantly changes the perceived drag. It feels like gliding without restraint.

SuperLock Self-Locking System

The V3 SuperLock self-locking connection has been engineered to ensure a perfect fit between the front wing and the fuselage, even after countless hours on the water. The greater the load applied to the front wing, the more securely the connection mechanically locks itself into the fuselage.

This design delivers a direct improvement in stiffness, precision, and silent operation. The foil remains perfectly secure, with no unwanted play, even under heavy loads during carving, pumping, acceleration, powerful turns, or hard landings. Rider input is transmitted more efficiently, steering becomes more precise, and the feeling underfoot remains consistent.

The connection requires only two screws beneath the front wing. Assembly is faster, simpler, and more user-friendly for everyday use. Wings can be swapped in just moments without multiplying screws or complicating the setup.

The locking angle has been carefully engineered to combine maximum engagement under load with effortless disassembly after the session. Even after an intense ride, the front wing can be removed from the fuselage easily.

This self-locking concept has already proven itself over several years across our V3 foil platform. It is a genuine mechanical advantage: simple, fast, rigid, reliable, and built to last.

Pro Team Series High-Modulus Carbon

The V3 Atmo Team Series front wings feature a premium carbon construction with a 3K Texalium Purple Clear carbon finish that showcases the wing's structure. Compared to fiberglass construction, this technology delivers greater stiffness, faster response, and higher precision, while maintaining outstanding durability.


The TORAY M40J high-modulus carbon fiber used in our layups offers exceptional mechanical properties, particularly in terms of Young's modulus and tensile strength. Combined with intermediate-modulus fibers and carefully engineered layup schedules, it reinforces the structure exactly where the wing needs it most: bending, torsion, connection points, carving loads, pumping, acceleration, and repeated high-load stress.


This increased stiffness has a direct impact on the ride. Inputs are transmitted more immediately, the foil responds with greater precision, and less energy is lost through structural flex. Every pump becomes more efficient. Every carve feels more connected. At high speeds, the foil remains more stable, delivering a cleaner, more controlled feel.

The V3 Atmo range marks a major leap forward in the design, manufacturing, and finishing of our foils. Reaching this new level of performance required far more than evolving the shapes. We rethought the entire process, from R&D to the finished product.


Every V3 Atmo shape is designed in 3D, digitally optimized, thoroughly tested by the GONG Team, and manufactured with an unprecedented level of precision. It requires speed, commitment, and a real feel for the foil. For beginners in wing freestyle, choose an appropriate size and leave some room for progression.

It is exclusively compatible with the Micro V3 Atmo fuselage. It cannot be mounted on a standard V3 fuselage.

In freestyle, this gain is decisive: more speed on approach, more energy available in the pop, a more direct foil, and an unrestricted glide sensation.

Note: this front wing is not compatible with the standard V3 fuselage. It must be mounted with the Micro V3 Atmo fuselage to ensure proper fit and expected performance.

The 460 cm² is dedicated to high-level kitefoil freestyle/big air. It is compact, fast, very stable, and designed for riders who want to go fast and push hard.

The 660 cm² is dedicated to wing freestyle in medium to strong winds. It offers the best balance between speed, pop, control, and compactness for committed riders.

The 700 cm² is dedicated to wing freestyle in light wind. It provides more lift and margin for takeoff while maintaining a limited wingspan of 70 cm to reduce tip outs.
