100% new shapes for 2027

As we announced when the Hollow Carbon boards launched, the intended uses remain the same, but the 2027 shapes evolve down to the smallest detail.

Your 2027 range in a few words:

Zuma: A versatile SUP foiling board that is easy to get to grips with when learning to wing foil.

Lance: The ideal board for learning and progressing while enjoying the feel of a compact board.

Beyond the updates specific to each shape, the major trends across the 2027 range respond to the requests you have shared throughout the year. Here they are:

Thinner boards:

We want a closer connection to the foil for more control and more radical riding.

So the 2027 boards are up to 2 cm thinner under the back foot!!!

When even 1 mm makes a significant difference to a shape, a 2 cm change radically transforms the feel.

So do not judge them by their maximum thickness measurement: your feet will never be in that area. Our 2027 boards are much thinner than the 2026 models in the stance area.

More recessed decks:

Bringing the rider closer to the foil is essential for more direct control, but lowering the standing platform within the board’s overall volume also brings a significant benefit. Balance before takeoff and on landing is greatly improved. The feel is livelier and more precise, with a major gain in control.

The addition of a rear bulb:

This small area of volume behind the back foot distributes buoyancy more evenly from nose to tail, improving balance around the rider and making takeoffs easier. It reduces those frustrating falls when you are kneeling and the nose points skyward. The board stays aligned and gliding smoothly before takeoff. All benefits, and it looks great too.

Ergonomic deck layouts:

Riding styles are evolving toward more offset foot positions, with the back toes often very close to the rail. By adapting the deck layouts to this trend, we make offset stances easier, removing uncomfortable edges and pressure points. Your feet feel right at home, even with a heavily offset stance, thanks to a tapered exit from the recessed stance area. Around the front foot, a pronounced raised edge prevents slips and adds volume, transitioning into an almost flat deck extending to the rail at the back foot. This flat section just ahead of the tail bulb defines our boards in profile. It also helps water drain off the deck even faster while adding comfort.

A narrower stance:

One of your biggest requests: less distance between your feet. Without radically changing familiar setups, we have narrowed the stance by one to three insert positions, depending on the model, by moving the rear inserts forward. Some disciplines require a wide stance for control, while others are more relaxed and work well with a narrower stance. So the reduction is not the same across the range. But it is a trend we are listening to and will continue to pursue.

Double footstrap screws:

All our models now feature double inserts for each footstrap. This brings a major gain in control, with straps that no longer twist. Eliminating unwanted strap rotation during use creates a firmer feel. The precision is incredible.

This also prevents screws from loosening and eventually pulling out, while reducing the risk of getting your foot stuck in a strap.

The only exception is the Zuma, which retains single screws for its versatility in SUP foiling and wing foiling.

Repositioned foil boxes:

Depending on the model, we have adjusted the box position to better match the balance of modern foils. Some disciplines no longer require extra-long boxes, so returning to standard lengths saves weight. On other models, we have shifted the boxes by a few positions so riders can generally mount their foil near the center of the tracks for maximum strength.

100% epoxy hot coats:

An impact will unfortunately always be an impact, but with a 100% epoxy hot coat, our 2027 boards withstand everyday knocks even better.

More than an evolution, this is the culmination of unrivaled expertise: our most mature, cohesive, and refined range yet.

For 2027, the range adds two Hollow technologies alongside our full sandwich constructions, which remain the benchmark:

Wing foilers: Lou, Benjamin, Ava, and Malo, GONG team riders, on Lemon FSP 2X, Cruzader Point LW FSP Pro, Cruzader Point Hollow Carbon, Lethal FSP Pro, and Hyperloop Hollow Carbon boards.

Five constructions is too many!

The arrival of disruptive Hollow technologies means offering two construction approaches side by side for a while, until we know which you prefer: with or without a foam core?

While we wait for your verdict, we are giving you almost complete freedom of choice.

Of course, we would love you to love Hollow, because it really is incredible. If you do, we will gradually be able to bring prices closer to those of FSP.

Let's be clear: our goal is not to raise prices across the board. The complete Wood, FSP 2X, and FSP Pro ranges prove it, with prices staying the same despite the inflation we are all experiencing.

At present, Hollow boards cost almost three times as much to manufacture as foam-core boards. But in a few years, if sales volumes become established, we will be able to improve that equation for the benefit of both the factory and the rider. That is our goal.

So yes, there are too many and those who simply want → to those who simply want.

Hollow Hybrid Carbon SCC®: two Hollow technologies now available at GONG!

With the new Hollow Hybrid Carbon SCC®, hollow architecture with an internal skeleton becomes accessible to more riders! While Hollow Full Carbon technology uses carbon fiber exclusively, including a significant proportion of first-grade high-modulus (HM) carbon, Hollow Hybrid combines 80% carbon fiber and 20% fiberglass. This choice delivers high stiffness, precise transfer of rider input, and a much more accessible price.

Fiberglass provides a slightly more progressive response: the connection to the foil remains direct, with more forgiveness to recover from imprecise foot pressure or a sudden reaction.

Two molded half-shells, a true internal skeleton, and, on models available in both constructions, exactly the same shape as Full Carbon: the Hybrid retains the fundamentals of SCC® Hollow technology.

Slightly heavier than Full Carbon, it offers a new balance of weight, stiffness, forgiveness, and price while maintaining excellent performance. A new way to experience Hollow, now within reach of more foilers.

• The Squash 2PK: more refined freefly performance for lowkite and wing foiling alike!

The new Cruzader Squash 2PK, introduced with the launch of the Hollow Full Carbon boards, is also available in FSP Pro and Hollow Hybrid Carbon constructions. Its purpose? Get up on foil in no time, head upwind, pack away your lowkite, and carve down the swell in freefly.

The Diamond’s length-to-width ratio, the Squash’s deck, and the Point’s hull combine the qualities we all dream of in a simple, beautiful, exceptionally efficient board that makes the most of every bump.
