Ypra Surf Carve Atmo 720 Feedback

“I got to test the Ypra Surf Carve Atmo 720 and I absolutely loved this front wing.

Take-off is very easy, with excellent low-end performance. It lifts high without having to push hard, and above all, the balance between front and back foot pressure is incredibly even. It makes for a really comfortable ride, and you immediately feel perfectly settled on the foil.

You can clearly feel the increased stiffness of this new generation of foils. The feedback is very direct, the foil is reactive and responds instantly to every input.

At very high speeds, it feels incredibly locked in and composed. Everything stays under control, with no feeling of looseness or instability. You can keep accelerating with total confidence.”

Freefly and waves

“In freefly, I was pleasantly surprised by the glide. For this aspect ratio, it’s really impressive. I was able to follow the swell without any trouble, and I wasn’t expecting this much glide from this front wing.

In the waves, it’s clearly a carving machine. You can really commit hard through the turns, and the front wing stays precise and predictable, with no nasty surprises. An absolute blast to ride.

I also got to test it in freestyle and it delivers very good pop, with plenty of responsiveness on take-off.”

A highly versatile foil

“Overall, I think it’s a highly versatile and very accomplished foil. It performs really well across the board without necessarily trying to be extreme in any one area. And that’s exactly what I like about it: you can go from freeride to freefly, waves or even freestyle without ever feeling limited.
