A first ride that promises some seriously good lowkite and downwind SUP foiling sessions!

First flat start with a foil this size

“First session after 2 months off the foil because of an injury, and then... just no conditions, actually 😅

Today’s setup:

Biggy 8’3
Veloce DW V3 Atmo L 1050
Tail M + Hyper Tail M stab
HM77 V3 mast
Carbon Pro 7” paddle
Rider ~85 kg

I headed out for a little paddle, just getting my feel and balance back, working on proprioception, 360s... basically easing back into it! I tried picking up the pace a little to see how it felt and thought, “Actually, maybe I can flat start this thing”... And after a few attempts and a little adjustment to my technique, miracle, it takes off 🤩

So I managed 2 flat starts this morning! Really stoked with that for my first session back, and I’d never flat started a foil this small before!”

Pumping and glide

“Once in the air, the pumping is smooth and precise, the glide is insane, and it’s completely silent. I was already pretty cooked from the take-off, so I didn’t pump for miles, but it looks very, very promising for when the wind comes back and the downwinds start again, both with a parawing and a paddle! 🤩

I’ve posted a gallery with a few photos... The finish on the foil is simply stunning, it feels extremely stiff and really solid, without being too heavy!

I can’t wait to try the other two foils I’ve just received! The XTR size L for downwind, and the Fluid M for surf foiling and SUP foiling in the waves 😀
