Fluid L-H ordered and delivered for François who shares his first impressions on our Facebook page.

“I received and tested my Fluid L-H that I had ordered, so pretty to look at… It sets the tempo even on the beach.

“Surprising!”

The glide combined with the Pro H Fluid 42 stab is very good, you hardly feel anything despite the 102 cm and it accelerates at the slightest puff of air. It’s stiff underfoot, the 102cm are felt in the curves but I’m amazed at the maneuverability for this type of front wing. It turns pretty well in the end, especially after a few minutes when I slowly get used to its size. These are longboard curves I would say, more inertia but the radius of the curve can be short if necessary… Surprising!

The long-awaited glide is there, it lifts a lot.

Even at relatively low speed… but it’s not a beginner’s wing. I pump out to sea, a good 200/250m with the Neutra in neutral in my left hand… Waouuuh, I catch the bumps, the slightest waves, the wing picks up speed and height. It’s going to be crazy for surf foiling in 50cm waves!!!! Clearly!! But not in 1m winter waves, unless you want to go straight without doing anything in locomotive mode!

The day before, on a body of water that was not too rough, I exceeded 22 knots in top speed with this Fluid L-H and 5m Plus in my hands, it glides hard and heads upwind really well. On the other hand, on a very rough body of water, I liked it less, the wingspan was present and even if I was able to exceed 20.2 knots, I was not comfortable. I immediately thought of the M-H ize which must be THE GAME CHANGER in those conditions.

The Fluid L-H is great.

But I think in mild conditions, nothing too messy, in conditions with a residual and weak swell… In surf foiling, it must be magic in the sloppy swells which break with little period. Clearly, I can’t wait to test the M-H.

My buddy was in the water with a Veloce L-H 1000 that I was able to test and indeed, it pumps greaaaat !! And it certainly glides well. In curves, I was also surprised by its relative ease compared to the Fluid, but the latter is more suited to my taste… In foiling everything is subjective… The stance, the positions of the body, the commitment, the settings… So many parameters that transform a foil…”
