All brands - Tikal

Tikal fits into the GONG universe with technical products developed to protect, maintain and assemble equipment exposed to water and marine environments. The German brand TIKAL Marine Systems offers anti-corrosion solutions, lubricants, adhesives, sealants and various maintenance products designed to withstand humidity and salt water.

In water sports, repeated salt exposure can accelerate wear on metal parts and make assemblies harder to dismantle. Using suitable products helps protect equipment and makes maintenance easier session after session.

Tikal Tef-Gel is one of the brand's best-known products. Made in Germany, this waterproof PTFE-based paste is designed to limit galvanic corrosion when different metals come into contact, particularly aluminium and stainless steel.

Applied to screws, bolts and other metal assemblies, Tef-Gel forms a protective barrier against galvanic interaction. It can also act as a seawater-resistant lubricant and help prevent water from entering certain connections.

Foils, masts, plates and other equipment used in wing, kite or SUP foil regularly combine several metal parts and are exposed to salt water. In this context, an anti-corrosion product helps protect assemblies and keeps screws easier to remove after intensive use.

Tef-Gel does not dry out and remains water-resistant, allowing it to retain its protective role over time. Only a small amount is needed to coat the relevant metal surfaces before assembly.

More broadly, Tikal develops products for maintenance in marine environments, including lubricants, sealants, adhesives and cleaning solutions. This expertise addresses issues found in boating but is equally relevant to regular maintenance of water-sports equipment.

At GONG, Tikal allows riders to complete their setup with technical solutions suited to parts exposed to salt and moisture. A simple maintenance step that helps preserve assemblies and keep equipment in good condition session after session.
