Foil Setup Curve V3 Atmo Carbon HM 85 - Team Series
Description
Programme
The complete foil of wing for curves and surfing, with ease of pumping and a formidable drive.
Presentation
The Curve V3 Atmo Team Series is the carbon wing that gives access to the mid/high performance ratio without losing the easeIt carve, plane, pump, accelerate and keep this healthy, carrying and legible behavior that makes the Curve DNA, but with more precision, yield and response under the feet.
Its shape V3 Atmo is a real shape of new generationIt retains the Curve spirit: an accessible wing, carrying, very pleasant in curve and able to put in confidence in many disciplines. But everything has been modernized to go further: the profile, the transitions, the leaves, the trailing edges, the rigidity, the high-speed holding and the quality of the flows.
The Curve Team Series is therefore not simply a stiffer Curve. This is a new Curve more accomplishedIt retains its role as an access wing to the mid/high ratio, but with nearly 20% more efficiency, more average speed, more control when accelerating and a much more direct transmission of supports.
The set is composed of the carbon mast 85HM, a jewel of technological know-how. Glide, stiffness, lightness and reactivity: it is the essential mast for foilers in search of excellence.
The length of 85cm brings a great versatility and tolerance in uses. No need for much background, the curves are easy without being overflowed, the rigidity is top, the nervousness is absolute, and the pumping very effective.
Front Wing
The outline of the Curve H is curved towards the back to move its center of lift back. In addition to providing stability in carves, this artificially reduces the front to rear span to free the foil in yaw: the foil carves and turns short even at low speed.
It carves hard on the wave without overwhelming the surfer thanks to a high moderate aspect that perfectly blends glide and maneuverability. The behavior is very healthy; it goes from one rail to the other naturally. This moderation gives it a lot of versatility, which makes it the perfect foil to access the high aspect shapes.

Stab
The Curve stab’s elliptical outline centers its lift and refines the tips to unlock the rail-to-rail of the foil while retaining lift.

Mast
To adapt your mast to your program, you have the choice between three thicknesses:
- If you are looking for glide and speed above all, the HM14 will be perfect.
- If you want a versatile mast, beyond the extremes, this is the HM15 for you.
- If you are more pumping/light wind oriented with large wings, and you are looking for foolproof rigidity for maximum precision, the HM16 is made for you!

Carbon Top Module Team Series
The carbon High Module TORAY M40J used in our layups offers very high mechanical properties, especially in Young's modulus and tensile strength. Combined with intermediate modulus fibers and calculated draping planes, it makes it possible to lock the forces where the wing needs them: bending, twisting, connection, curved supports, pumping, restarts and repeated loads.
This rigidity directly changes the feeling on the water. The supports are transmitted faster, the foil responds more precisely and the energy is lost less in the deformation of the wing. In pumping, each pressure becomes more effective. On the curve, the foil gives a sharper reading. At high speed, the set remains more stable with a cleaner feeling. The Team Series is not just a premium carbon finish. It is a construction designed to fully exploit the V3 Atmo shapes: thinner profiles, more precise trailing edges, rigid connections, optimized layups and more direct behavior under the feet.
The result is a more nervous, more precise, more efficient foil, but always consistent with the program of each model. Each wing keeps its own identity, with the extra efficiency, control and responsiveness expected from a Team Series carbon build.
SuperLock self-tightening system
This principle provides a direct gain in rigidity, precision and operating silence. The foil remains wedged, without parasitic play, even when we load hard in curves, pumping, raises, accelerations or receptions. The supports are transmitted more cleanly, the piloting becomes more readable and the feeling under the feet remains constant.
The fitting requires only two screws under the stab. Assembly is simple, fast and ergonomic on a daily basis. The stab is changed in a few moments, without multiplying the screws or complicating the assembly.
The pressure angle was studied to combine locking under load and easy disassembly after the session. Even after a big navigation, the stab remains simple to remove from the fuselage.
This self-tightening principle has already been proven for several years on our V2 and V3 stalls. This is a real mechanical advantage: simple, fast, rigid, reliable and durable.
Buying guide
For whom?
The Curve V3 Atmo Team Series is aimed at intermediate to advanced riders who want to carve short with an easy, stable and precise foil.
It is particularly suitable for those who like waveriding, freeride, surf foiling or cool SUPfoiling, with lots of support and very reassuring steering.
The Team Series carbon construction makes it more direct and more precise than the Curve Perf, but it remains very accessible in its program. It is never complicated.
For what ?
The Curve excels at waveriding in small to medium waves, with tight turns if you want them, plenty of control and excellent support in slow sections.
In freeride, it makes jibes, tacks and raises easier thanks to its short fuselage and generous surface area.
In surf foil and SUPfoil, it provides a wedged foil, easy to enter the curve and very reassuring to progress towards more dynamic piloting.
It can also be suitable for accessible freestyle thanks to its pop and short wheelbase, but its main program remains controlled carving.
What size forehead Wing?
The Curve has strong lift at low speeds. It is therefore not necessary to choose a huge surface area to benefit from its program. For an equivalent surface area, it offers more glide and more glide than a more freeride wing, which often allows you to reduce the size slightly without losing too much comfort.Choosing a larger size maximizes early takeoff, lift, low-end comfort, small waves and pumping. It is the logical choice for heavy riders, light winds, small swells, soft waves or those who want a lot of margin.
Choosing an intermediate size allows you to benefit from the best balance of the Curve: lift, glide, maneuverability, carving and pumping. It is often the most consistent choice for a rider who wants a versatile high ratio wing.
Choosing a smaller size allows you to gain speed, maneuverability and precision. It is interesting for experienced riders, more powerful waves, faster conditions or those who want a livelier wing under their feet.
In wingfoil, all sizes can work depending on weight, wind, board and level. The weaker the wind or the heavier the size, the larger we will go. The higher the level, the more you can reduce the surface area to gain speed and curve.
In surf foiling and SUPfoiling, you need to keep enough surface area to comfortably start and pump, but avoid oversizing if the objective is to carve hard. The right size is the one that allows you to leave early without blocking the curves.
In kitefoiling, you have to stay on the small sizes to limit the wingspan, avoid tips coming out and keep the foil comfortable in counter-heel.
If you are unsure between two sizes, choose the larger one to gain comfort, low range and pumping. Choose the smallest only if the level, spot and priority objective justify more speed and maneuverability.
What stab?
The choice depends on the size of the forehead wing, template, support and level.A larger stab provides more support, more front foot, more stability and facilitates takeoff. It also adds more drag and calms handling.
A smaller stab frees up speed and rail to rail, with less front foot and more technical handling. It may be necessary to move the foil forward in the boxes to find the right balance.
Always associate the size of the stab with that of the front wing to maintain a homogeneous aircraft and balanced behavior.
How thick?
You have the choice between 3 thicknesses.
The thicker the mast, the more rigid it is and provides great control, especially on large front fenders.
The thinner the mast, the faster it is and increases top speed and acceleration, especially on small wings.
Here are our recommendations for choosing mast thicknesses to guarantee perfect stiffness of the whole:
- The thickness of 14mm is recommended for front fenders up to 100 cm span
- The thickness of 15mm is recommended for front fenders up to 120 cm span
- The thickness of 16mm is recommended for front fenders up to 150 cm span
Aluminum or titanium fuselage?
We strongly recommend using a Titanium fuselage in the following cases:
- It is mandatory for your safety if you plan to sail outside the 300m zone, or if you sail more than 300m from a shelter (serious bodily risks in the event of unexpected breakage).
- If you jump (risk of material loss).
- If you use front wings with a span of more than 110 cm (risk of material loss).
- If you do intensive pumping.
- If you don't meet any of the above conditions, the aluminum V3 fuselage will suit you very well.
