The easy-going compact board for learning fast and having fun in wing foiling and lowkite.

Overview

The Lance is the compact board that makes wing foiling simple, comfortable and fun. Very stable before take-off, short underfoot and easy to get to grips with, it lets you start out with confidence while keeping a lively enough feel to support real progression.

Its compact format makes all the difference. With very little length in front of and behind your feet, the board instantly feels less cumbersome once up on foil. It turns easily, naturally follows weight shifts and delivers a much more playful feel than a big beginner board.

Its generous width and well-distributed volume bring a huge amount of stability, both on your knees and standing up. You can take your time to lift the wing, place your feet and accelerate without constantly fighting for balance. The highly supportive tail gives the rider effective support during take-off and helps keep the board nice and flat until take-off.

The recessed deck brings your feet closer to the foil for a stronger connection and more direct control. In 2027, the slightly refined nose frees up the front of the board even more while still keeping enough volume to make take-offs safer and manage touchdowns better.

This combination of stability, compactness and control also makes it an excellent lowkite board. You can manage the kite, get to your feet, then gradually build speed before letting the foil take over.

Easy before take-off, compact and playful once in the air: the Lance lets you progress without overcomplicating things.

OUTLINE

The Lance packs maximum ease into a short outline with generous width. Its compact format brings plenty of stability both on your knees and standing, while greatly reducing bulk once up on foil.

The volume distribution keeps you confident through the take-off phases, while the slightly refined nose in 2027 frees up the front of the board even more to maintain a lively, manoeuvrable feel.

ROCKER

The rocker stays flat through the rear third to maximise glide and acceleration before take-off. The Lance naturally builds speed without requiring perfectly dialled pumping, which makes those first take-offs much easier.

This efficiency is particularly valuable in light wind, where it easily turns the pull from the wing or lowkite into usable speed.

HULL

The hull combines a wide, flat, planing rear section with a double concave up front. The flat maximises the usable surface area on the water to stabilise the board and help it accelerate through to take-off. Up front, the double concave channels the flow during water contact and helps maintain speed more effectively.

The Lance glides easily before take-off and stays forgiving when the nose touches back down.

TAIL

The wide squash tail provides plenty of support at low speed and plays a major role in the Lance's stability.

It creates a solid platform for kneeling phases, the transition to standing, and the first accelerations. Its generous surface area also lets you progressively load the back foot without unsettling the board, making it easier to trigger take-off despite the very compact format.

RAILS

The rails are straight and sharp over the rear third to promote clean water flow and release the hull quickly during acceleration.

This geometry adds drive and helps the Lance reach take-off speed easily. Moving forward towards the nose, the rails become progressively softer and more rounded to improve forgiveness and limit slowdowns when the board makes contact with the water again.

NOSE

The rounded point nose retains enough volume to make take-offs more forgiving while staying very compact in front of the feet. Its outline is slightly refined in 2027 to further reduce bulk and free up the board's behaviour in flight.

Combined with the bulb, double concave and softened rails, it helps the Lance handle touchdowns better and regain speed quickly rather than stopping abruptly.

Recessed deck

The recessed deck brings your feet closer to the foil for greater connection, precision and control. This lower position improves the transfer of rider input whether riding strapped or strapless, while maintaining enough freedom to adjust your stance. The rider feels more locked in, closer to the foil and benefits from a more direct feel through every maneuver.

Volume distributed from nose to tail

The lowered deck is combined with added volume at the front and rear to maintain support around the rider. The maximum nose volume is positioned closer to the stance to provide better support during take-off, acceleration and water contact. At the rear, the volume follows the same principle, creating a natural continuity in the shape from nose to tail.

Drain Plug

The drain plug has been specially designed to make operation safer and easier. Its shape allows it to lock directly into the board to ensure a watertight seal while riding, with a 90° twist-lock closure. When opening, the system passes through an intermediate position before fully releasing the plug. This maximizes airflow between sessions and also allows any water to drain out in the event of infiltration before repair.

The Perf Series range brings together boards designed for easy progression, hassle-free riding, and maximum fun on the water.

The Hollow Hybrid Carbon construction shares this philosophy right down to its design, with a vibrant, instantly recognizable brush effect that gives the Lance its own visual identity while maintaining the cohesive look of the Perf Series.

Footstrap inserts

The new footstrap inserts improve both adjustability and hold. At the rear, the two-screw mounting system offers 5 positions to fine-tune foot placement while limiting strap rotation under heavy loads. At the front, 3 positions let you adjust your stance, with paired lateral inserts arranged diagonally to strengthen the connection and keep the strap securely in place when pushing hard.

Luxe Footstraps

The new boards come equipped with a set of V-shaped Luxe Footstraps, chosen by our Team for their comfort and precision. Adjustable with Velcro, they provide fine, tool-free adjustment, both on land and while riding, allowing you to quickly adapt the fit to your foot and riding style.

Each footstrap combines:

An adjustable internal structure with semi-rigid reinforcement to provide effective support around the arch of the foot.
A lined neoprene cover for lasting comfort and softness during long sessions.

Their three-hole baseplate allows for one- or two-screw mounting. Combined with the double inserts, the two-screw setup provides a more secure fit and limits strap rotation under heavy loads, keeping your footing more stable and precise during committed maneuvers.

Ridge Traction Pad

With its perfect grip and 5 mm thickness, the new Ridge Traction Pad delivers outstanding comfort and traction. Your footing is completely secure, giving you surgical precision and control.

Contact with the board is firm and direct for precise foil control, while retaining the cushioning of a 5 mm pad.

The pad is also bonded directly to the board’s epoxy surface. This creates an extremely reliable bond between the pad and the board, significantly reducing the risk of delamination over time and keeping your footing secure for the long term. The result: a grip that stays perfectly in place, total confidence underfoot and significantly improved durability.

Who is it for?

Whether you're a beginner or simply looking for an easy, stable, no-fuss board, the Lance is made for relaxed progression.

In wing foiling as in lowkite, its role is to make your life easier: loads of stability to handle the phases before take-off with confidence, in a compact format that stays fun and lively once you're up and flying.

It can also work in SUP foiling thanks to its very accessible balance, but that's not its main programme. Its short length already requires you to be comfortable paddling a short board.

What for?

The Lance is a pure wing foiling and lowkite board, short to keep it fun, but wide and stable enough to make progression much easier.

In wing foiling, it lets you focus on the wing and the foil rather than fighting for balance. Take-offs are easy, then its compact format naturally supports your first gybes, tacks and freefly sessions.

In lowkite, its stability lets you break things down step by step: control the wing, get to your feet, accelerate, then let the foil lift off without rushing.

Which stab?

With an X-Over front wing, the X-Over stab is the natural choice to keep a balanced, stable and easy foil setup.

With an Ascent, the choice of stab lets you fine-tune the behaviour depending on your level, your weight and the feel you're after. On the Lance, the priority is control, support and ease.

Which board bag?

Equipments

These boards are equipped with 2 GONG US Box Double Entry boxes compatible with standard 4-bolt plate foils and the SCS system with 9 cm spacing, Luxe footstraps with multi-position anti-twist inserts, a Ridge Traction Pad, an integrated carry handle, a leash plug, an automatic pressure relief screw and a high-flow drainage valve.

The Double Entry system allows very fast mounting of GONG foils and remains compatible with standard square-nut setups. The SCS is not supplied with the board.

Is the Lance Hollow Hybrid Carbon suitable for getting started in wing foiling?

Yes. Its generous width, ample volume and compact format provide plenty of stability before take-off. It gives you time to get to your feet, accelerate and initiate take-off without rushing.

Why choose a Lance over a Zuma?

The Lance favours a more compact, livelier format, mainly geared towards wing foiling and lowkite. The Zuma brings more length and glide, with real versatility in SUP foiling.

Is such a compact board still easy to ride?

Yes. The short length is offset by generous width and well-distributed volume. You keep plenty of stability on your knees and standing up, with less bulk once up on foil.

Is the Lance suitable for lowkite?

Yes. Its stability lets you handle the lowkite calmly, find your footing, then build speed progressively. Once up on the foil, its compact format becomes particularly comfortable and natural.

Can the Lance be used for SUP foiling?

Yes, but that’s not its main purpose. Its stability helps a lot, but its short length requires more paddling technique. So it’s best to already be comfortable on a compact SUP.

Which foil should you choose with the Lance?

The X-Over is ideal for discovering foiling with plenty of stability and very predictable handling. The Ascent then lets you keep that ease while gaining more freedom and progression potential.

Why choose the Lance in Hollow Hybrid Carbon?

The SCC® Hollow Hybrid Carbon combines a very stiff hollow construction with carbon concentrated in the structural areas and fibreglass in the other zones. It maintains a precise connection with the foil while delivering a slightly more progressive, forgiving response. This lets you enjoy the Hollow feel in a construction designed to strike an excellent balance between light weight, stiffness, strength and affordability.

Is the Hollow Hybrid Carbon construction durable and repairable?

Yes. Its structured Hollow architecture, carbon reinforcements in the key areas and dedicated assembly methods are designed to handle the stresses of riding. In the event of localised damage to the hull, the board can be drained, fully dried and then repaired using composite repair techniques.
