Overview

The Vibe answers a simple question: why should you have to choose between the performance of a shortboard and the easy glide of a small-wave board when the waves are average?

Its hybrid shape brings more glide, more speed and more freedom to a high-performance board. You get the responsiveness of a modern shortboard, with the paddling comfort, surface area and efficiency that let you surf hard even when the wave is not perfect.

The Vibe delivers a fast, playful and free-flowing ride. It gets going easily, accelerates quickly and carries speed between sections. You can draw lines, build speed, push your carves or make your surfing more radical without feeling like you are dealing with a board that is too demanding.

The whole balance of the shape comes from three key elements: a forward wide point for paddling comfort, a fuller outline to generate speed, and a swallow tail that brings stability, speed build-up and control under the back foot.

The Vibe does not just settle for being versatile: it genuinely changes character depending on the fin setup. As a thruster, it becomes more precise, more vertical and sharper. As a quad, it gains more drive, projection and power through drawn-out lines.

As a 2+1, it finds a freer, smoother and more rhythmic feel, close to the twin-fin spirit, with the small trailer stabilising the tail to keep control when you really load up your turns.

OUTLINE

The Vibe's outline is designed to make the board easy to surf from your very first waves. Its forward wide point and rounded nose deliver real paddling comfort, early wave entry and an easier drop, especially in small waves or average conditions.

The wingers positioned just behind the side fins significantly reduce the tail's effective surface area. Control off the back foot becomes lighter, more instinctive and much freer. You can tighten your carves, wrap through the critical sections and push every carve further without the board ever feeling locked in.

ROCKER

The rocker is designed to maintain natural speed and help the board get up and running quickly. It keeps good drive through softer sections and delivers that feeling of a board that carries speed without demanding too much effort.

Its curve stays modern enough to retain manoeuvrability and lets you push your surfing harder depending on the setup you choose. You can draw fast lines, build speed hard or go tighter without ever feeling the board lock up.

BOTTOM

The bottom shape transitions from a pronounced single concave from the nose to the centre of the board, into a double concave, then finishes with a V in the tail. The single concave generates speed from the moment you take off on the wave, the double concave frees up water flow and adds control, while the V makes rail-to-rail transitions easier.

The transition between the concave in the rear third and the V at the end of the tail creates more rocker around the outline of the tail. The result: the board keeps its natural glide, but becomes easier to put on rail. You can tighten your carves, wrap harder off the face and take a more vertical approach.

TAIL

The tail width stays close to that of a high-performance shortboard, but the swallow tail makes it more versatile. It works like two pin tails combined: you gain more control through turns, more precision in your foot pressure, and better hold when the wave gets more serious.

This tail also delivers plenty of speed build-up. It lets you push hard off the back foot, maintain pressure through carves, and keep a stable ride without losing the shape's liveliness. It's one of the features that allows the Vibe to perform across a wide range of conditions.

RAILS

The rails keep a modern, high-performance feel to transfer pressure with precision. They let you push through your carves, hold your line and maintain clean control despite the shape’s very free-flowing character.

They bridge the gap between comfort and performance: accessible enough to surf with flow, yet precise enough to step things up when the wave offers a proper section.

Single Tab connection: simple, direct and solid

The Single Tab system features a single, extended base on each fin. This design creates a solid connection with the fin box, making installation simple, fin changes quick, and power transfer exceptionally direct.

On the water, the benefits are immediate. The board responds instantly, the fins work without unwanted play, and every input translates into drive, grip and control. This is especially valuable on high performance boards, where precise feedback is essential at high speeds and through committed turns.

The Single Tab system also makes it easy to fine tune your setup for different conditions. Changing fin size, template or flex lets you refine the board's feel in just a few moments. It provides a clean, durable and efficient connection, allowing you to unlock the full potential of the shape.

Good to know: Single Tab fin boxes are only compatible with Single Tab fins.

100% epoxy resin construction over a 28 kg/m³ EPS foam blank with a 3 mm wooden stringer.
Deck layup: 2 layers of 6 oz fiberglass and 1 layer of 4 oz fiberglass.
Bottom layup: 1 layer of 6 oz fiberglass, 1 layer of 4 oz fiberglass, plus an additional 4 oz fiberglass reinforcement patch covering the tail and fin box area.
CNC pre-shaped, checked against traditional templates, then finished entirely by hand.

What board size?

The Vibe should be chosen with a just-right volume approach. Its forward wide point, hybrid outline and natural glide already bring plenty of paddling comfort and take-off efficiency. No need to oversize it too much.

If you are coming from a performance shortboard and want more ease in average conditions, you can add a bit of volume to gain paddling power, easier take-offs and more forgiveness, without losing the board's playful character.

If you are after a more nervous feel, choose a size close to your usual comfortable shortboard dimensions. You will keep a board that feels livelier, more responsive and more precise through your foot pressure.

If you are between two sizes, choose the bigger one to maximise paddling, stability and ease in weaker waves. Choose the smaller one to prioritise manoeuvrability, responsiveness and back-foot surfing.

What are the ideal waves?

Size: from small waves to medium-sized waves, depending on your level, your build and the fin setup you choose.

Power: it performs best in soft to average waves, with enough speed build-up and control to stay high-performing when the wave gets faster.

The Vibe comes with a thruster / quad / 2+1 Single Tab setup, making it easy to clearly tune its behaviour.

As a quad, it gains drive, projection and line speed. This is the ideal setup for drawing powerful lines, keeping momentum through soft sections and committing to longer carves.

In a 2+1 twin + trailer style setup, the two main fins deliver glide, flow and rhythm, while the small trailer stabilises the tail. You get a freer feel, close to the twin spirit, with enough control to push through your turns.
