The Batmob is the ultra-easy board for getting started and progressing, but with real surf character. It takes the paddling, stability and easy take-off of an accessible board, in a more compact, more manoeuvrable and more fun format than a mini-malibu.

Its goal is simple: catch more waves, get in earlier and quickly feel confident. Thanks to its well-distributed volume, buoyant nose and forgiving outline, the Batmob helps you get into position, paddle efficiently and nail your take-offs in everyday waves.

But the Batmob is not a soft or limited board. Its hybrid shape lets you surf with energy, vary your lines and deliver a more aggressive style as your level improves. It supports your first real carves, speed build-up, changes of pace and more committed rail work.

In small to medium waves, it really comes into its own. Its wide tail brings lift, stability and a very reassuring natural acceleration. The board gets up and running easily, keeps its speed through softer sections and turns average conditions into proper sessions.

The Batmob also suits bigger riders or more experienced surfers who want more surface area than a classic shortboard, without stepping up to a long and cumbersome board. It brings comfort, paddling ease and efficiency, while keeping a compact and lively feel.

OUTLINE

The Batmob’s outline puts surface area exactly where it really matters: under paddle power, on take-off and under your feet. The mid to forward wide point brings comfort, stability and easy wave entry, while the wide tail provides a solid platform to accelerate and build speed in small to medium waves.

ROCKER

The intermediate rocker sits between a shortboard and a longboard. It delivers enough speed to paddle efficiently, catch waves early and maintain glide, while still offering good turning ability. It’s the perfect balance for an accessible board that still feels lively enough to progress and vary your lines.

BOTTOM

The hull prioritises a simple, predictable and efficient ride. It supports the board’s natural glide, makes it easier to build speed and stays forgiving when your foot placement is not yet perfectly dialled in. The goal is clear: keep your speed, stay stable and progress without getting caught out by an overly technical shape.

TAIL

The wide diamond tail brings lift, speed build-up and very predictable support underfoot. Its width adds speed and stability, while the diamond cut reduces bulk at the end of the carve. You keep an easy shape to control, with enough response to build speed and play with the wave.

RAILS

The rails are thin and forgiving, delivering a smooth, progressive ride that's easy to control. They bring softness through transitions, confidence in carves, and enough precision to commit without making the shape demanding. The feel stays accessible, with a real surf sensation underfoot.

Single Tab connection: simple, direct and solid

The Single Tab system features a single, extended base on each fin. This design creates a solid connection with the fin box, making installation simple, fin changes quick, and power transfer exceptionally direct.

On the water, the benefits are immediate. The board responds instantly, the fins work without unwanted play, and every input translates into drive, grip and control. This is especially valuable on high performance boards, where precise feedback is essential at high speeds and through committed turns.

The Single Tab system also makes it easy to fine tune your setup for different conditions. Changing fin size, template or flex lets you refine the board's feel in just a few moments. It provides a clean, durable and efficient connection, allowing you to unlock the full potential of the shape.

Good to know: Single Tab fin boxes are only compatible with Single Tab fins.

Premium materials: EPS foam blanks, epoxy resin and fiberglass, all selected to meet our exact design requirements.
100% epoxy resin construction over a 28 kg/m³ EPS foam blank with a 3 mm wooden stringer.
Deck layup: 2 layers of 6 oz fiberglass and 1 layer of 4 oz fiberglass.
Bottom layup: 1 layer of 6 oz fiberglass, 1 layer of 4 oz fiberglass, plus an additional 4 oz fiberglass reinforcement patch covering the tail and fin box area.
CNC pre-shaped, checked against traditional templates, then finished entirely by hand.
Matte finish for better glide, improved scratch resistance and a competition-inspired look.
Easy to restore to like-new condition after dings.
Outstanding strength to flex to weight ratio, allowing the shape to perform at its full potential.

What waves is it ideal for?

The Batmob is made for small to medium-sized waves, from knee-high to well overhead.

It works very well in soft, average or imperfect waves, clean or a bit choppy. Its useful volume, wide tail and easy paddling turn average sessions into genuinely fun ones.

Which construction?

In EPS, the Batmob will be lighter, livelier and easier to accelerate. It is the ideal choice for small waves, low-power conditions and surfers who want a board that is easy to get moving.

In PU, it gains inertia, comfort and control in faster, choppier or more powerful waves. It is the smoothest choice for keeping a composed ride.

Which fin setup?

For an easy ride, go for forgiving fins, with enough surface area to provide support without making the board too technical.

Softer, more moderate fins will help you progress with confidence. Stiffer or more powerful fins will suit heavier or more experienced surfers better if they want to push harder through their carves.

Which shape should you choose?

Choose the Batmob if you want an ultra-easy, compact and progressive board to catch as many waves as possible.

Choose a mini-malibu if you are looking for even more length, paddling and stability, even if it means losing some manoeuvrability.

Depending on what you want, your build, the conditions and your surfing style, you can fine-tune the board's feel with different sets of GONG fibreglass fins compatible with Single Tab.

The thruster setup uses three fins. The quad setup uses four fins.
