PRESENTATION

The X-Over V3 Atmo Perf Series is the setup that makes foiling accessible to everyone without compromising the feel. It lifts off early, delivers stable flight, forgives mistakes and gives you time to understand your balance and pressure points.

It’s the perfect foil for learning to fly in wing foiling, surf foiling, SUP foiling, kite foiling, wake foiling or dockstarting.

Its programme is built around three essential qualities: easy take-off, in-flight stability and constant control. It doesn’t pitch up abruptly, it doesn’t stall without warning, and it doesn’t require already solid technique to work properly.

Its 6.4 aspect ratio delivers a very forgiving feel. The wingspan stays compact to make roll control easier and limit tip breaches. You can fly close to the surface, correct your mistakes and keep a real safety margin, which changes everything during the first sessions.

Its progressive high-lift profile allows take-off at low speed, without intense pumping. Once flying, the enhanced glide gives you more time to make your manoeuvres, work on transitions, discover your first surfs and start pumping cleanly.

The pronounced anhedral brings confidence on reaches and through carves by keeping the tips away from the surface. The X-Over grips, turns easily and remains highly predictable. It delivers a smooth, readable, almost self-regulating feel that helps you progress without getting scared.

Built in Perf Series construction, it makes the V3 Atmo standard accessible with an optimised fibreglass technology that is robust and high-performing. Its self-tightening V3 SuperLock connection guarantees a stiff and reliable assembly, with just two screws under the front wing.

The X-Over V3 Atmo Perf Series is the obvious first foil: easy to learn on, performance-oriented enough to progress, and forgiving enough to make you want to keep flying for a long time.

FRONT WING

The X-Over’s elliptical outline distributes lift very evenly across the entire span. The foil stays stable, progressive and easy to read underfoot. Nothing is abrupt, nothing feels twitchy: the wing immediately delivers predictable handling.

Its 6.4 aspect ratio is deliberately moderate. It brings enough span efficiency for decent glide and gives you time through manoeuvres, while keeping the wingspan compact for easier control. That’s what makes the X-Over so reassuring in your first sessions.

This controlled wingspan limits tip breaches, makes balancing heel-to-toe easier and lets you fly close to the surface without stress. For learning, that’s fundamental: you can make mistakes, correct them and keep flying.

STAB

The X-Over stab's 7.0 aspect ratio delivers a very reassuring balance of low-speed lift, stability and smooth glide. It provides enough support to make those first flights easier, without making the foil feel abrupt or hard to control.

Its surface area is distributed with a relatively constant chord from the centre to the tips. This choice generates lift very early on and limits excessive roll movements. The foil stays more settled from rail to rail, which helps enormously in slower phases.

The goal is simple: give the rider time. The X-Over helps you understand your pressure points, correct without panicking, and build solid foundations from your very first sessions.

ALU MAST 85 - 17MM

The 85 cm V3 aluminium mast is the benchmark for wind-powered foiling sports. At 85 cm, it sits right at the heart of the range, capable of shining across a wide variety of uses.

In wing foiling, it’s the ideal size for progressing, then exploring every side of freeride, getting into freestyle, performing in light wind, in surf and in freefly. It delivers excellent control, reassuring stability, and enough height to handle chop and steep angles efficiently.

In kite foiling, it’s perfect for freeride and really excels in carving and jumps, thanks to a length that is perfectly tuned for control. You have limited margin, but total control of the foil.

For surf foiling, this size is reserved for tow-in, while in SUP foiling, it is appreciated for downwind runs.

For pumping, its length can work, but it still feels a little long depending on personal preference.

The premium aluminium construction is particularly stiff and durable. It delivers excellent value for money, making this Alu V3 mast a benchmark in the foiling world.

Every V3 Atmo front wing is designed to excel in its intended discipline, delivering the perfect balance of performance, ease of use, and control. The result is a foil that feels intuitive, efficient, and uncompromising.

Across the entire range, the V3 Atmo collection stands out for its exceptional glide.
Takeoff happens remarkably early, thanks to smooth, efficient lift that allows you to ride smaller wing sizes without sacrificing comfort. The more compact stabilizers further enhance this sensation, delivering a freer, faster glide.

This increase in glide, and the resulting reduction in wing surface, also boosts both top speed and average speed. With less material in the water, drag is reduced, allowing the foil to accelerate more efficiently and maintain higher speeds.

A constant profile across the entire wingspan provides outstanding stall resistance and excellent ventilation recovery. The foil remains flying at incredibly low speeds. It's truly impressive.

This gives riders more time to learn and progress through maneuvers, as the foil keeps gliding longer and more smoothly, with greater comfort throughout.

Tip-out tolerance is equally remarkable. You can ride confidently right at the surface, with the foil remaining exceptionally stable. Even breaches become barely noticeable.

Finally, the combination of the constant profile and an optimized composite layup delivers outstanding rigidity. The foil resists torsional flex, providing precise, responsive handling and a solid, confidence-inspiring ride.

A more efficient foil shape

One of the key elements in the evolution of this range is the complete redesign of our foils to increase their structural and hydrodynamic qualities.

The new round shape allows a 12% gain in glide and the thicker section approaching the stab increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.

Hours of calculations on extremely powerful computers have allowed us to optimize the smallest detail to maximize performance. The fillets of all our connections have been carefully studied and adjusted to minimize hydrodynamic disturbances and increase the rigidity and resistance of the assembly.

SuperLock Self-Locking System

The V3 SuperLock self-locking connection has been engineered to ensure a perfect fit between the front wing and the fuselage, even after countless hours on the water. The greater the load applied to the front wing, the more securely the connection mechanically locks itself into the fuselage.

This design delivers a direct improvement in stiffness, precision, and silent operation. The foil remains perfectly secure, with no unwanted play, even under heavy loads during carving, pumping, acceleration, powerful turns, or hard landings. Rider input is transmitted more efficiently, steering becomes more precise, and the feeling underfoot remains consistent.

The connection requires only two screws beneath the front wing. Assembly is faster, simpler, and more user-friendly for everyday use. Wings can be swapped in just moments without multiplying screws or complicating the setup.

The locking angle has been carefully engineered to combine maximum engagement under load with effortless disassembly after the session. Even after an intense ride, the front wing can be removed from the fuselage easily.

This self-locking concept has already proven itself over several years across our V3 foil platform. It is a genuine mechanical advantage: simple, fast, rigid, reliable, and built to last.

Who is it for?

The X-Over V3 Atmo Perf Series is primarily aimed at riders who want to learn foiling with maximum ease and confidence. It’s the foil to choose for nailing your first flights, stabilising your ride height, understanding your foot pressure and progressing without scaring yourself.

It is perfectly suited to a complete beginner in wing foiling, surf foiling, SUP foiling, kite foiling, wake foiling or dockstart. Its smooth, stable and progressive behaviour reduces the penalty for classic mistakes: lack of speed, overly abrupt foot pressure, flying too high, poor roll control, inconsistent pumping.

It also suits riders who already know how to fly but want a very mellow, easy and reassuring foil. Some are chasing pure performance, others simply want to fly for a long time, have fun, land their manoeuvres and come out of the water with a smile. The X-Over is perfect for that.

It can also be an excellent choice for a multi-discipline rider. A single setup lets you ride with a wing, try surf foiling, test dockstart, do some wake foiling or learn kite foiling depending on the size chosen. It’s a true simple, versatile quiver foil.

It also remains highly relevant for heavier riders, lighter conditions or riders who want to keep plenty of lift. Its ability to take off early and fly slowly gives you a big safety margin, especially when the spot is not straightforward or when your technical level is not yet fully established.

Not recommended if…

The X-Over is not the right choice if your main goal is maximum speed, long-distance pumping, high-performance downwind, radical surf foiling, aggressive snaps or committed aerial freestyle.

It is not designed to replace a Curve, a Fluid, a Veloce, a Sirus or a Trail in their specialist programmes. It is much easier, much more forgiving, but less fast, less radical and less specific.

If your goal is to maximise glide and long connections, a Veloce or a Sirus will be more suitable. If your goal is to carve harder with more speed and efficiency, a Curve or a Fluid will take over. If your goal is pure dockstart, the Trail will make more sense.

The X-Over is the choice for healthy progression. It is not limited, but it is not built to chase the extreme.

What for?

In wing foiling, the X-Over simplifies every step: taking off early, stabilising flight, going upwind, controlling your height, landing your first gybes, trying tacks, discovering your first jumps and riding for a long time without pressure. This is probably its most obvious programme.

In surf foiling, it makes mellow take-offs, first turns, first flights on the wave and first connections easier. It lets you follow the energy of the wave with control and learn pumping without being immediately punished. It likes mellow waves, small swell and conditions that give you time to understand the line.

In SUP foiling, it inspires a lot of confidence. The wing lifts off at low speed, rises flat and keeps smooth lift on the drop. You can paddle, feel the wing loading up progressively and fly without any abrupt reaction.

In dockstart, it lets you discover pumping with a versatile, reassuring wing. It is not as specialised as a Trail, but it delivers good lift, stable behaviour and readable pumping to learn the basics.

In kite foiling, the smaller X-Over sizes let you learn to fly without excessive speed. Lift comes in early, the foil remains controllable and the contained wingspan limits mistakes from over-rolling to windward. It’s a very sound entry point into kite foiling.

In wake foiling, it delivers very easy behaviour for discovering flight behind a boat or jet ski. Take-off is progressive, control is simple, and the wing lets you work on the basics without being too fast.

What size?

The right size depends on weight, level, craft, wind or available power, board type and your progression goals.

In wing foiling, all sizes can work. The heavier the rider, the lighter the wind or the smaller the board, the more you need to increase the surface area. Conversely, a lighter rider who is already comfortable at take-off or riding in steady wind can choose a smaller size to gain manoeuvrability and speed.

In surf foiling and SUP foiling, you need to find the right balance between take-off lift and manoeuvrability on the wave. A bigger wing gives more comfort for getting up early and pumping. A smaller wing turns more easily and becomes more enjoyable as your level improves or when the waves have more push.

In dockstart, a large surface area is preferred to make the start easier and keep flying at low speed. As you progress, you can reduce the surface area to gain speed and liveliness, but the X-Over will remain a versatile option rather than a wing dedicated to pure pumping.

In kite foiling, very large wingspans should be avoided. The speed of the kite and windward roll make overly wide wings more technical, with a greater risk of breaching a tip. The smaller X-Over sizes are therefore the most relevant for learning.

If you are hesitating between two sizes, go for the larger one to learn more easily, take off earlier and keep more margin at low speed. The smaller one will make sense if your level is already good, the conditions are more powerful or your goal is to gain manoeuvrability.

Which stab?

The X-Over V3 Atmo works ideally with an X-Over V3 Atmo stab. Both components are designed for the same programme: ease, stability, smooth lift, control and progression.

If you want to fine-tune your setup, a larger stab makes take-off easier, adds more support under the front foot and gives a more stable flight. It is the most reassuring choice for learning, for bigger riders, lower speeds or inconsistent conditions.

A smaller stab makes the foil faster and more manoeuvrable, but requires more precision at take-off and in your foot pressure. It can be interesting as your level improves and you want to free up the foil without immediately changing front wing.

The right balance always comes from the front wing / stab pairing. A large X-Over requires a coherent stab to keep the flight stable and readable. A smaller X-Over can work with a more compact stab to gain speed and manoeuvrability.

If in doubt, the X-Over front wing + X-Over stab setup combo remains the simplest, most coherent and most reliable choice, and you can add a smaller or larger stab depending on your riding.
