The Italian scores yet another podium in Talamone Ahead of Home World Cup
Francesco Cappuzzo returned to competition in winning fashion at the Coppa Italia in Talamone, claiming overall victory after two days of close racing against Italy's top wingfoil racers.
The event marked Cappuzzo's first competition since his successful outing in Silvaplana, with the Italian overcoming a tightly contested opening day to secure the win in stronger conditions on day two.

Light winds of 9–11 knots on the opening day produced eight closely fought races, with Cappuzzo and Michele Capitani finishing tied on points heading into the final day. As the breeze increased to 15–18 knots, Cappuzzo found another level, winning all six races to break the deadlock and seal the overall title.
"I felt really good throughout the event," Cappuzzo said. "I had solid speed, made the right strategy choices and, most importantly, kept the right mindset. Everything came together in the stronger conditions."
The Italian also praised runner-up Michele Capitani after their weekend-long duel.
"Racing against athletes of Michele's level is what pushes all of us to improve and raise the bar at every event," he said.
This victory moves Francesco Cappuzzo to the top of the Italian Cup standings with one event remaining, scheduled for September. In Talamone, he raced on the same setup that has delivered podium finishes throughout the season: the GONG Racer FSP Pro board, Pulse Race wing, and Ypra Race foil and mast. A package he knows inside out, allowing him to focus entirely on racing. Now, attention turns to the next major challenge: the WingFoil Racing World Cup in Gizzeria, Italy, kicking off next week.
