The 2026 HIPE boards feature footstrap inserts perfectly integrated into the deck for greater riding comfort, with multiple adjustment positions as an added bonus!

Inserts designed to disappear underfoot

The brief for this new standard was simple: integrate the strap inserts without interfering with the feel of the deck.

The inserts now blend seamlessly into the pad to create a perfectly flush surface. No bumps, no interruptions underfoot: when riding strapless, you get consistent, natural support throughout the entire stance area.

This integration also gives you greater freedom in foot placement. Your foot can slide and reposition easily without being obstructed by the inserts. Contact with the board remains direct and precise, whether you ride strapless, with a single strap or fully strapped to charge hard.

The inserts are there when you need them, but completely disappear underfoot the rest of the time.

Three positions for the rear strap

A single insert allows you to choose between three rear strap positions. This adjustment lets you fine-tune your stance to suit your body shape, preferences and riding program.

Moving the strap forward gives you a more compact and comfortable stance. This setting makes the strap easier to access and is particularly well suited to relaxed riding.
In the middle position, you get a natural balance between comfort, control and responsiveness.
Moving the strap back brings your rear foot closer to the foil's control zone. Your inputs become more direct and the board more responsive for more committed riding.

The rear strap position no longer locks you into a single riding feel. You choose the level of comfort, control or commitment that suits your riding.

Perfectly centered V-shaped front strap

Like all GONG wing boards, our inflatable models designed to be ridden with straps feature a double V-shaped front strap rather than separate left and right straps. The advantage is a more centered position on the board with a strap that stays firmly in place. This also avoids having to overlap two individual straps in the center of the board, which would not provide optimal attachment.

Above all, a V-shaped strap centers your pressure on the board, improving both performance and comfort.

Another advantage is that it won't twist, even if it is not tightened correctly, for example.
