FEEDBACK: DROID SP ARAMID CZ 2026
The low-end and high-end performance of the Droid SP Aramid CZ impressed once again.

Impressive power transfer to the foil
“I finally got to try my new 4.5 m² Droid SP Aramid CZ, and I was really impressed.
Paired with a Racer 5'4 and an Ypra Race 540, such a magical combo.
The wind was marginal at first, and I didn’t think I would be able to get up on foil, but I wanted to test the low-end. It didn’t disappoint and got me flying on the first attempt.
Then I sheeted in the wing and—OMG—the acceleration took me by surprise. I’m not exaggerating: I almost fell off.
After a while, the wind picked up nicely and I got to test it in better-powered conditions. I had an absolute blast. The wing is very stiff and behaves impeccably. All the gusts are efficiently converted into speed (provided you can transfer that power through the foil, with the Ypra Race, it works perfectly, making high speeds very accessible).”
Racing and long-distance high-speed cruising
“What impressed me even more was how responsive the wing is to fine adjustments. In that regard, it feels more like a windsurf slalom sail than any other wing I’ve tried. The canopy material actually reminds me of a windsurf sail. As a result, it’s much easier to detect subtle changes in wind direction and make precise adjustments to maximize speed.
In short, it’s a perfect wing for racing or long-distance high-speed cruising, but undoubtedly for other disciplines too.
Quick note on pumping: I had a similar feeling to what I experienced with the Neutra Aramid X. These very stiff wings can initially feel harder to pump because you don’t get the direct “pulling” feedback you typically feel from softer, baggier wings that fill more noticeably with air. However, I don’t find them any less efficient. In fact, I feel it’s easier to generate a cleaner airflow and maintain efficiency throughout the pumping cycle, if that makes sense.” Thank you Corentin for sharing on the GONG Galaxy group.
