FEEDBACK: 70 CM HM MAST

Tien received his 70 cm High Modulus mast earlier than expected and tried it right away in surf foiling. Here is his feedback.

Surf foiler: Valentin, GONG team rider, in Lethal FSP Pro, 70 cm HM Mast, Fluid Front Wing and Stab H, and Titanium Pro Fuselage.

“I was supposed to get my mast at the end of December, but i received it this weekend ?? and tried it in surf foiling today. Before that, I had a 75 cm alu mast. The new HM mast looks solid, becoming a lot thinner towards the fuselage, the trailing edge is also sharper. Carrying the gear is much more pleasant ? .

I felt very light during my first takeoff.

As if my Veloce L-H was a M-H. The take off was faster. The glide is kinda boosted when you pump, the foil goes faster than before. You need to produce less effort. I’m sure that I can push myself even more ??. In carving, the HM mast is so stiff that we have a more direct contact with the foil. It’s so precise, nothing to do with what I had before. We can go for radical angles in the curves without falling. A treat! The HM mast is a perfect fit for the new high aspect foil range, I have the feeling that nothing drags on the water. I’m keen to try the 85 cm model in wing foiling ?. Good sessions are ahead of us ?.

Once again, GONG’s gear is sick! However, I’m sorry, I couldn’t wait until Christmas to unpack my gift.”
