Surfing more often is first of all catch more waves. It's about positioning yourself easily, rowing without burning out, leaving early and keeping enough speed to exploit conditions that are not always perfect.

This is exactly Karamba’s job. This everyday egg shortboard provides more surface area, more stability and more comfort than a classic shortboard, without losing the dynamic feeling that we expect under the feet.

We gain in paddling, take-off margin and confidence in medium, irregular or weak waves. The Karamba makes the session easier, but it retains enough respondent to pump, restart and push the supports.

What size board?

The Karamba is chosen with a simple logic: keep enough volume to enjoy its program, without oversizing it too much to maintain its shortboard feeling. Its interest comes precisely from this compromise between ease, speed and maneuverability.

If you are coming from a classic shortboard and want more comfort, you can add a little volume. You will gain paddling, stability and departure, without transforming the Karamba into a soft board. Its shape remains made to be surfed with rhythm.

If you are an intermediate and looking for a more accessible first shortboard, don't fall into the classic mistake of choosing too small. Choose a size that will allow you to row efficiently, to leave with margin and multiply the waves. The more waves you catch, the more you will progress.

If you are experienced or expert, choose a size close to your comfortable shortboard benchmarks. You will keep a board that is lively, precise and easy to turn, while taking advantage of the additional surface area to surf more often and in more conditions.

Between two sizes, choose the smallest to maximize maneuverability and shortboard feeling. Choose the largest to gain paddling, comfort and forgiveness in weaker waves or long sessions.

What size leash?

We recommend taking the size of the leash closest to the size of your board.

We offer the Perf ankle leash in 3 sizes:

The 6’0 leash is ideal for surfboards measuring between 6’0 and 6’8.
The 7’0 leash is ideal for surfboards measuring between 6’9 and 7’8.
The 8’0 leash is ideal for surfboards measuring between 7’9 and 8’8.

Depending on your desires, your size, the conditions and your surfing style, you can adjust the feeling of the board with different sets of GONG fiber fins compatible with Single Tab.
