Programme

The Indra is a pure modern mid-length built to reconnect with the rhythm of glide: get in early, hold your line, go down the line and link long carves with style and flow.

Overview

The Indra is the pure modern mid-length that puts glide back at the heart of surfing. A board made to draw lines with style, stretch them out and rediscover that simple, fluid and natural flow that makes you want to surf longer.

From the very first waves, it delivers an obvious feeling: early take-offs, fast glide, effortless trim. You have time to read the wave, choose your line and let the surfing breathe. Every trajectory becomes smoother, cleaner and more elegant.

The Indra loves beautiful lines. It excels on long shoulders, smooth waves and open sections where you can really enjoy going down the line, link carves and keep continuous speed without forcing it.

But that glide is never static. When the wave offers more energy, the Indra steps up: it lets you carve, change angle and push through your turns with confidence, while keeping the fluid feel that defines its identity.

More forgiving than a shortboard and far less cumbersome than a longboard, it naturally earns its place in a quiver. It's the board you choose to surf with more flow, more range and more enjoyment in everyday conditions.

The Indra is for surfers looking for pure, modern and elegant glide. A mid-length that brings style to every line, rhythm to every session and that rare feeling of surfing more simply, yet better.

Shape
OUTLINE

The outline is sleek, harmonious and modern. It delivers long, fluid, fast glide, with that mid-length feel that lets you draw lines effortlessly. The slightly forward wide point improves paddling, wave entry and stability. The rounded point nose adds useful lift up front, without getting in the way through carves.

ROCKER

The rocker is stretched and progressive. It keeps the glide fast and seamless, while naturally following through the curves. The board holds its speed, carries through sections and stays instinctive in its line choices. You can surf down the line, carve or change angle with fluidity.

BOTTOM SHAPE

The bottom shape combines a flat nose section, a double concave and a V through the tail. The flat section enhances pure glide, paddling and wave entry. The double concave brings speed, control and fluidity through transitions. The final V makes it easier to roll from one rail to the other and gives more precision under the back foot.

TAIL

The rounded pin tail combines speed, manoeuvrability and control. It keeps enough surface area to maintain speed build-up, while refining control through the end of the carve. It lets you draw clean lines, link turns with fluidity and stay nicely composed when the wave picks up.

RAILS

The rails are thin to provide grip, drive and precision through carves. The domed deck keeps thickness through the centre for comfort and paddling, while thinning out the rails. The result is a smooth yet precise ride, with enough support to carve efficiently.

Single Tab connection: simple, direct and solid

The Single Tab system features a single, extended base on each fin. This design creates a solid connection with the fin box, making installation simple, fin changes quick, and power transfer exceptionally direct.

On the water, the benefits are immediate. The board responds instantly, the fins work without unwanted play, and every input translates into drive, grip and control. This is especially valuable on high performance boards, where precise feedback is essential at high speeds and through committed turns.

The Single Tab system also makes it easy to fine tune your setup for different conditions. Changing fin size, template or flex lets you refine the board's feel in just a few moments. It provides a clean, durable and efficient connection, allowing you to unlock the full potential of the shape.

Good to know: Single Tab fin boxes are only compatible with Single Tab fins.

Key benefits:

  • Simple installation and quick fin changes.
  • Direct connection for immediate response underfoot.
  • Excellent drive, grip and control through powerful turns.

Buying guide

Who is it for?

The Indra is for surfers looking to rediscover the mid-length flow: easy paddling, early take-offs, long lines and stylish surfing.

It suits intermediate to experienced surfers looking for a board with more volume than a shortboard, but far less cumbersome than a longboard.

What is it for?

For surfing with glide, rhythm and elegance.

The Indra is made to stretch out your lines, surf down the line, link up carves and keep natural speed without forcing it.

It lets you cruise with fluidity, but also carve and push through your turns when the wave has more energy.

What board size?

Choose a size that gives you enough comfort to make the most of its programme: easy paddling, early take-off and long glide.

A shorter size will give you a livelier feel, more manoeuvrability and make it easier to change lines.

A longer size will bring more glide, more range and more comfort in soft or open waves.

What are the ideal waves?

The Indra works across a very wide range, from almost nothing up to overhead and beyond.

It really comes into its own in clean waves, long shoulders and open sections where you can draw lines with flow.

It handles everyday conditions really well, but will be less suited to waves that pitch hard or ultra-vertical sections.

Which construction?

In PU, the Indra gains inertia, comfort and control. It’s the ideal choice for smoother glide, more drawn-out carves and a more traditional feel.

In EPS, it becomes lighter, livelier and more responsive. It’s the right choice for small waves, clean conditions and surfers who want more speed build-up.

Which fin setup?

As a single, the Indra delivers the purest glide: more flow, more style and very natural long lines.

With the side bites, it gains control, drive and precision through the carves. It’s the ideal setup if you want to push harder through your turns and surf with more hold.

The single + two side bites setup makes it easy to adapt the feel to your surfing style and the conditions.

Which shape should you choose?

Choose the Indra if you want a pure modern mid-length, focused on glide, flow, long lines and style.

Choose a Carter if you want a more versatile board, more adaptable to different styles and different setups.

Choose a shortboard if you’re mainly looking for short lines, a more vertical approach and more radical surfing.

The Indra is all about fluid, elegant glide: a board for surfing more simply, for longer, and with plenty of style.

Which bag?

Equipments

These boards come fitted with a leash plug, a central US Box and 2 Single Tab side fin boxes for a single or 2+1 setup.

Depending on what you want, your build, the conditions and your surfing style, you can fine-tune the board's feel with different GONG fibreglass fins compatible with US Box and Single Tab.

The single setup uses only the centre fin. The 2+1 setup adds two side fins.

  • Central GONG US Box fibreglass fin included.
  • Set of GONG plastic Single Tab side fins included.
  • 1 central US Box + 2 Single Tab side fin boxes for a single or 2+1 setup.
  • Leash plug at the tail so you never lose your board.
  • Fin key included.

Frequent questions
Is the Indra a true mid-length?

Yes. The Indra is a pure modern mid-length, designed to bring back glide, flow and long lines, with a more current, more precise and more efficient ride than an overly retro shape.

What level of surfer is it for?

It is aimed at intermediate to experienced surfers who want easy paddling, early take-offs and stylish surfing. It remains accessible, but requires a minimum ability to read the wave to make the most of its glide.

What kind of waves does it work best in?

It loves clean waves, long shoulders and open sections. That’s where it best expresses its flow, natural speed and ability to draw down the line.

Can it be used in small waves?

Yes. Its balanced volume, efficient paddling and natural glide let you get in early and keep your speed up in small waves. It's perfect for turning an average session into a proper glide session.

Is it suited to powerful waves?

It works in waves up to head-high and beyond, as long as the wave stays readable. It will be less suited to waves that pitch really hard or very vertical sections, where a more radical shape will be more appropriate.

What kind of surfing does the Indra offer?

The Indra delivers fluid, stylish and natural surfing. It loves long lines, clean curves, down-the-line surfing and carving. It lets you surf with rhythm, without killing your speed.

Which fin setup should you choose?

As a single, it delivers the purest glide, with maximum flow and style. With the side fins, it gains control, drive and precision through carves.

Which technology should you choose?

Choose PU for more inertia, comfort and smoother glide. Choose EPS for a lighter board that feels livelier and more responsive in clean small waves.
