Lunar Twin Fins Set - ST Box
Program
A powerful and precise performance twin fin, designed to combine drive, control, and pivot in committed surfing.
Overview
The Lunar sits within a more committed performance twin approach than the Flash. Where the Flash prioritizes freedom and liveliness, the Lunar delivers more drive, control, and precision in powerful turns. Its template remains relatively upright, but with a wider base and more pronounced surface area, allowing it to generate stronger traction in the wave.
This fin excels when the surfer drives hard through the rail. Once engaged, the board accelerates with power and stays firmly locked into the face. The increased depth further enhances this feeling of control, especially in fast or hollow sections. The slightly refined tip still allows for clean release out of turns, preventing the setup from feeling overly rigid.
It is the ideal fin for surfers looking for a precise, solid twin capable of performing in demanding conditions.
Template
Performance twin upright template. The rake is moderate, providing a good balance between pivot and projection. It allows tight turns while maintaining strong line control.

Base
The base is wide, which generates powerful drive and excellent energy transfer through turns. It stabilizes the board during acceleration.

Depth

Surface area
The surface is generous, providing stability and security on the wave face. It is balanced to maintain good maneuverability despite added control.

Setup
The twin setup is a configuration that prioritizes speed, glide and freedom. With only two fins, the board generates very little drag, allowing it to accelerate easily and maintain a natural flow down the line.
The feeling is very loose and responsive: the tail remains mobile, rail-to-rail transitions are fast, and surfing is carried with a lot of fluidity. The board turns easily, with a “loose” feel that encourages fast lines and spontaneous maneuvers.
This is an ideal setup for fast, relaxed surfing, using the natural speed of the wave with maximum glide and freedom in line choice.

Buying guide
Who is it for?
The Lunar is designed for surfers who want a high-performance but more controlled twin. It suits intermediate to advanced levels. It is ideal for those who like to commit to their turns while keeping precision. It works very well in fast or hollow waves. It combines pivot and grip without losing fluidity. This is a fin set for committed but controlled surfing.
What is it for?
The Lunar is designed for performance twins, shortboards with a small fish tail or a narrow swallow tail. A powerful and balanced fin set. Compatible with twin fins + trailer setups.
The Lunar is particularly suited to modern fish and twin performance boards with relatively narrow tails. It allows committed surfing, tighter turns while maintaining speed and handling more powerful waves than a classic twin. It works in fast waves and allows precise turns. Ideal for technical surfing.
By adding a trailer, it becomes even more secure, moving closer to a thruster feel while keeping the twin glide.
What size?

Fin sizing mainly depends on the following factors:
- rider weight
- surfing style
- board volume
- surf conditions
A heavier or more powerful surfer will need larger fins to maintain enough surface in the water for grip and control.
A lighter surfer can use smaller fins to reduce drag and make the board more manoeuvrable.
Surfing style also plays an important role. A surfer who prioritizes quick turns and short transitions may choose slightly smaller fins for more reactivity. A surfer who drives hard through turns or surfs powerful waves will benefit from larger fins for more stability and projection.
In general:
- Larger = more grip and control
- Smaller = more speed and manoeuvrability
The more volume a board has, the more fin area is needed to control it.
Finally, conditions also influence the choice. In small or soft waves, slightly smaller fins help generate more speed.
In fast or hollow waves, larger fins provide more grip and security in critical sections.
In summary, the right size is the one that balances speed, control and manoeuvrability, depending on the surfer, the board and the waves being surfed.
