Presentation

The Ypra Race Micro V3 Atmo Pro Team Series is the carbon front wing designed for pure racing, maximum performance at all angles, and riders who want the best possible efficiency on a long course and all angles.

Its major developments are the reduction of drag and the widening of its flight range. It takes off very early, accelerates very strongly, and maintains ultra-smooth glide at all angles. Gains are made in low end, pumping, upwind, downwind, average speed, and control.

Its high ratio of 10.4 makes it a true racing machine. The wing reduces drag, improves glide, and gives that very specific sensation that the foil can still accelerate with each pressure. You don't hit the ceiling quickly: you keep pushing.

The VMG is one of its strongest points. The Ypra Race allows for very strong upwind with a lot of stability, then descends very efficiently close to the downwind, with a healthy, readable, and easy-to-hold foil.

The stability is impressive. The foil doesn't unexpectedly ventilate, even when the tips get close to the surface or partially come out in chop. There's no need to play with the pressure: you push, and it tracks without imbalance.

The load under the feet is very balanced. You can push effectively with both feet, reduce fatigue, and maintain control for longer. Just counter the pressure of the front foot against the pull of the rig and steer with the back foot: the foil accelerates with an astonishing sense of control.

The advanced center of pressure further increases the setup's stability, for a more stable, precise, and efficient foil at high speed.

A significant evolution also comes from the switch to the Micro V3 ATMO fuselage, which is stiffer, thinner, and more hydrodynamic. It reduces drag, improves glide, and offers increased compatibility between the wings and masts of the V3 and V3 ATMO range since the mast connection is identical for all masts.

Available in 480, 540, and 620 cm², the Ypra Race V3 ATMO Pro Team Series meets the needs of committed racers, from pure light wind to strong wind, with three dedicated stabilizers of 135, 150, and 165 cm² to perfectly adjust the foil's balance.

The Ypra Race Micro V3 Atmo Pro Team Series is thus the Pro Team carbon front wing for pure racing: absolute efficiency, huge VMG, incredible upwind, hyper-efficient downwind, astonishing low end, exceptional stability, and very high average speed at all angles.

Ratio of 10.4

The Ypra Race Micro V3 Atmo features a high ratio of 10.4 to reduce drag, enhance glide, and make the wing an absolute racing machine.

This increased aspect ratio improves speed, glide, and pumping phases in competition, without losing the control needed for technical courses.

Once launched, the wing gives the sensation that the foil can still accelerate with each push. You keep pushing, with a foil that remains stable and predictable.

Centered surface

The centred surface extends the performance range. More chord in the centre provides lift close to the supports, allowing for earlier take-off and maintaining a stable foil at low speeds.

Thinner tips reduce drag and improve top speed. You gain at both ends of the programme: low range and maximum speed.

The advanced centre of pressure increases the stability of the setup. At very high speeds, the foil remains stable, readable, and predictable during long reaches.



Race profile

The race profile is optimised for maximum flight range, with efficient take-off, delayed stall in light wind, and excellent performance in high wind conditions.

It offers better acceleration, higher top speed, and cleaner glide over a wide speed range.

This profile also maintains a very stable behaviour at low speeds, in lulls, during speed build-up, and in phases where pumping is required to maintain flight.


Minimal drag

The profile is designed for minimal drag across all useful racing angles: upwind, reaching, downwind, accelerations, and transitions.

The wing accelerates decisively, responds to demand, and maintains its glide without breaking its rhythm. You can point upwind, bear away, accelerate, and hold a fast trajectory with a sensation of the foil gliding effortlessly.

This overall efficiency builds the VMG: incredible upwind, highly effective downwind, very high average speed, and immediate accelerations.


Stability and ventilation

The resistance to ventilation is exceptional. The foil remains stable when the speed increases, when the water surface becomes choppy, or when the tips get close to the surface.

The high dihedral provides great control on fast reaches, maintains margin in the heel and prevents tip breaches in chop.

This stability allows you to push hard without constantly adjusting your stance. The foil tracks well, remains predictable, and gives enormous confidence at high speed.


SuperLock Self-Locking System

The V3 SuperLock self-locking connection has been engineered to ensure a perfect fit between the front wing and the fuselage, even after countless hours on the water. The greater the load applied to the front wing, the more securely the connection mechanically locks itself into the fuselage.

This design delivers a direct improvement in stiffness, precision, and silent operation. The foil remains perfectly secure, with no unwanted play, even under heavy loads during carving, pumping, acceleration, powerful turns, or hard landings. Rider input is transmitted more efficiently, steering becomes more precise, and the feeling underfoot remains consistent.

The connection requires only two screws beneath the front wing. Assembly is faster, simpler, and more user-friendly for everyday use. Wings can be swapped in just moments without multiplying screws or complicating the setup.

The locking angle has been carefully engineered to combine maximum engagement under load with effortless disassembly after the session. Even after an intense ride, the front wing can be removed from the fuselage easily.

This self-locking concept has already proven itself over several years across our V3 foil platform. It is a genuine mechanical advantage: simple, fast, rigid, reliable, and built to last.

Pro Team Series High-Modulus Carbon

The V3 Atmo Team Series front wings feature a premium carbon construction with a 3K Texalium Purple Clear carbon finish that showcases the wing's structure. Compared to fiberglass construction, this technology delivers greater stiffness, faster response, and higher precision, while maintaining outstanding durability.


The TORAY M40J high-modulus carbon fiber used in our layups offers exceptional mechanical properties, particularly in terms of Young's modulus and tensile strength. Combined with intermediate-modulus fibers and carefully engineered layup schedules, it reinforces the structure exactly where the wing needs it most: bending, torsion, connection points, carving loads, pumping, acceleration, and repeated high-load stress.


This increased stiffness has a direct impact on the ride. Inputs are transmitted more immediately, the foil responds with greater precision, and less energy is lost through structural flex. Every pump becomes more efficient. Every carve feels more connected. At high speeds, the foil remains more stable, delivering a cleaner, more controlled feel.


The Team Series is much more than a premium carbon finish. It's a construction specifically engineered to unlock the full potential of the V3 Atmo shapes, with thinner profiles, more refined trailing edges, rigid connections, optimized layups, and a more direct feel underfoot.

The V3 Atmo range marks a major leap forward in the design, manufacturing, and finishing of our foils. Reaching this new level of performance required far more than evolving the shapes. We rethought the entire process, from R&D to the finished product.


Every V3 Atmo shape is designed in 3D, digitally optimized, thoroughly tested by the GONG Team, and manufactured with an unprecedented level of precision. Profiles, thickness distribution, transitions, fillets, connection areas, and trailing edges have all been refined to reduce parasitic drag, improve water flow, and maximize efficiency.


Our new production facility enables manufacturing in an ultra-clean, highly controlled environment with a level of precision approaching that of the world's leading aerospace, motorsport, and high-performance composite industries. Optimized extraction of solvents and dust creates better working conditions while ensuring cleaner parts throughout every stage of production.


Tighter control over every step, from material handling, layup, machining, and molding to cooling and finishing, delivers an unprecedented level of accuracy, particularly on the trailing edges. This controlled refinement minimizes hydrodynamic disturbances, reduces noise, improves glide, and contributes to the overall performance gains of the V3 Atmo range.

Micro V3 Atmo Fuselage

The Micro V3 Atmo fuselage is the most radical evolution of the V3 standard, purpose-built for the fastest front wings in the Pro Team Series. It retains the proven V3 mechanical interface while introducing a reduced-diameter profile to minimize drag to the greatest extent possible.


Its slimmer diameter delivers a significant hydrodynamic advantage. With less material exposed to the water flow, frontal drag is reduced and turbulence around the connection point is minimized. The result is a foil that glides more freely, accelerates more easily, and maintains speed more efficiently through turns, pump cycles, and transitions.


The Micro V3 Atmo is precision-machined from titanium to maintain exceptional stiffness and strength despite its reduced diameter. At a weight comparable to the V3 aluminum fuselage, it provides a noticeable improvement in glide, average speed, and handling precision, without compromising the mechanical reliability expected from a Pro Team setup.

It is designed for those who want to point very high, descend very efficiently close to downwind, hold long fast reaches, acccelerate immediately, and maintain a very high average speed over a complete course.

It speaks to competitors and riders who want to push very hard with an ultra-stable, very stable foil that is surprisingly accessible for this level of performance.

To avoid if…

The Ypra Race Micro V3 Atmo is not a relaxed freeride wing. It remains a pure race Pro Team, designed to charge, hold angles, accelerate hard, and optimize VMG.

It is not the best choice if your main goal is slalom, short jibes, or a more all-terrain program. For this program, the Ypra Slalom V3 Atmo will be more suitable.

It is not made for surfing, relaxed freefly, or long glides on the swell. Its program is racing, long fast reaches, upwind, downwind, and speed build-up.

It is exclusively compatible with the Micro V3 Atmo fuselage. It does not fit a standard V3 fuselage.

This exclusive compatibility is an integral part of its program. The Micro V3 Atmo fuselage is thinner and more hydrodynamic to reduce drag and free up the glide of the fastest front wings.

In racing, this gain is decisive: less drag at the connection, more acceleration, higher average speed, and a more direct foil underfoot.

Warning: this front wing is not compatible with the standard V3 fuselage. It must be mounted with the Micro V3 Atmo fuselage to ensure proper fit and expected performance.

What size?

The choice of size depends on the support, level, wind, water conditions, desired angle, and target speed.

Choosing a larger size provides more low-end range, more margin at takeoff, more pumping, and more comfort in irregular conditions. It's the logical choice for light wind or heavier riders.

Choosing an intermediate size gives the best balance between low-end range, speed, pointing, downwind, and control. It is often the most coherent choice to exploit the Race Micro V3 on varied courses.

Choosing a smaller size reduces drag, increases speed, and allows you to push very hard in strong wind. It requires more skill, higher takeoff speed, and more precision.

If in doubt, choose larger for more low-end range and margin. Choose smaller if your skill level, support, and conditions allow you to maintain high speed on all angles.
