Programme

The accessible mid/high ratio front wing for waveriding, cool freeride and beautiful carving turns, with comfortable lift, easy pumping and natural rail to rail.

Presentation

The Curve V3 Atmo Perf Series is the front wing that allows you to enter the mid/high ratio with a stable, high-lift and easy-to-control foil. It offers more glide, more planing, more average speed and more efficiency, without becoming too technical.

It's the perfect wing for riders who are already flying and want to take it to the next level: surf longer, carve cleaner, pump more efficiently, take better lines and enjoy a truly gliding foil.

Its aspect ratio of 8.4 provides a real performance boost, but the Curve remains very accessible thanks to its high-lift profile and specific outline. It takes off early, maintains lift at low speeds, doesn't stall abruptly and gives plenty of time in manoeuvres.

Its rearward-curved outline shifts the centre of lift back and frees the foil in yaw. You get a natural rail to rail, easy entry into carving turns and a real ability to carve tight for a wing of this ratio. The Curve is not a wing for aggressive snaps: it's a carver. It loves clean pressure, continuous lines and carving turns with grip.

The generous profile in the centre provides enormous comfort in the low range. The wing lifts, glides, accelerates and pumps easily. In surf foiling, SUP foiling or wing foiling in waves, it's a huge advantage: you can exploit soft sections, glide in small waves, maintain speed and reconnect with less effort.

Its light and progressive dihedral provides the grip needed in strong carving turns, while maintaining glide and lift. The horizontal tips further increase stability in pumping and tolerance near the surface.

Built in Perf Series, the Curve V3 Atmo makes this mid/high ratio shape more accessible with a solid, forgiving and repairable prepreg fibreglass technology, while maintaining the V3 Atmo precision standard and the self-locking SuperLock connection.

The Curve V3 Atmo Perf Series is the wing to glide more, carve better, pump longer and access the mid/high ratio with confidence.

Shape
Outline

The outline of the Curve is curved backwards to move its centre of lift rearward. This shape choice profoundly changes the wing's behaviour: it remains stable in carving turns, but frees up in yaw and turns very naturally for its ratio.

By projecting the tips backwards, the wing reduces the perceived wingspan of the foil. Steering becomes easier, smoother, and more playful. You benefit from the glide of a mid/high ratio, but without having a locked-in wing or one that's difficult to engage in carving turns.

In waves, this design offers true carving quality. The Curve maintains grip, accepts gradual pressure, and allows for clean trajectories with a lot of control. It's not made to break the carve abruptly, but to hold it, extend it, and re-accelerate with very healthy glide.

Ratio of 8,4

With its aspect ratio of 8.4, the Curve clearly falls into the mid/high ratio category, but without becoming elitist. This ratio provides a real gain in glide, lift, average speed, and efficiency, while still maintaining a wing that is manoeuvrable and accessible.

The foil better maintains its speed when switching stance. It crosses soft sections more easily, gives more time in transitions, and allows for pumping with less loss. This is what makes the Curve so effective in waveriding, freeride, and in imperfect conditions.

This ratio is also an excellent technical springboard. It allows you to experience the sensations of mid/high ratio without ending up with a wing that is too wide, too demanding, or too locked in. You progress towards more glide without losing immediate enjoyment.

High-lift profile

The profile of the Curve is optimised for low and medium speeds. It provides comfortable lift, early take-off, and a real ability to stay airborne when the speed drops.

This central lift is one of the secrets to its accessibility. Even with its higher ratio, the Curve remains reassuring during take-off, comfortable in lulls, and very pleasant in the initial phases of pumping. It doesn't require perfect technique to perform.

The profile also accommodates higher speeds. The wing is not limited to the low range: it accelerates, glides, relaunches, and maintains clean behaviour when pushed further. This is what gives it such a wide range, between ease and performance.

Light anhedral

The anhedral of the Curve is light and progressive. It provides the necessary grip in carving turns without disrupting glide or reducing lift. This balance is essential to maintain the wing's smooth character.

In carving, this anhedral helps the wing remain stable, maintain grip, and limit ventilation when flying high or at steep angles. The foil remains controllable, predictable, and progressive, even in aggressive lines.

This anhedral also contributes to comfort in low wind conditions. The Curve does not feel unstable or overly wild. It stays steady underfoot, with enough grip to inspire confidence and enough freedom to carve naturally.

Tips

The tips of the Curve flatten out to maximise lift, stability, and pumping. This choice enhances comfort in low wind conditions and makes the wing very easy to keep flying, even when speed decreases.

These horizontal tips also increase tolerance near the surface. You can fly high, carve, pump, and push the limits without an immediate harsh reaction. This margin is very important for progressing in waves or transitions.

They also contribute to the natural rail-to-rail of the Curve. The wing remains stable but doesn't become locked. It transitions smoothly, maintains lift, and allows you to move from one carving turn to another with great fluidity.

Fixed settings

You will find your settings from the previous version and all GONG foils on your board. This balance of forces is precisely calculated to ensure a consistent feeling, especially when switching from one FW to another during a session.

Key Strengths

Every V3 Atmo front wing is designed to excel in its intended discipline, delivering the perfect balance of performance, ease of use, and control. The result is a foil that feels intuitive, efficient, and uncompromising.

Across the entire range, the V3 Atmo collection stands out for its exceptional glide.
Takeoff happens remarkably early, thanks to smooth, efficient lift that allows you to ride smaller wing sizes without sacrificing comfort. The more compact stabilizers further enhance this sensation, delivering a freer, faster glide.

This increase in glide, and the resulting reduction in wing surface, also boosts both top speed and average speed. With less material in the water, drag is reduced, allowing the foil to accelerate more efficiently and maintain higher speeds.

A constant profile across the entire wingspan provides outstanding stall resistance and excellent ventilation recovery. The foil remains flying at incredibly low speeds. It's truly impressive.

This gives riders more time to learn and progress through maneuvers, as the foil keeps gliding longer and more smoothly, with greater comfort throughout.

Tip-out tolerance is equally remarkable. You can ride confidently right at the surface, with the foil remaining exceptionally stable. Even breaches become barely noticeable.

Finally, the combination of the constant profile and an optimized composite layup delivers outstanding rigidity. The foil resists torsional flex, providing precise, responsive handling and a solid, confidence-inspiring ride.

A more efficient foil shape

One of the key elements in the evolution of this range is the complete redesign of our foils to increase their structural and hydrodynamic qualities.

The V3 fuselage is:

  • faster
  • more rigid
  • more resistant
  • lighter

The new round shape allows a 12% gain in glide and the thicker section approaching the stab increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.

Hours of calculations on extremely powerful computers have allowed us to optimize the smallest detail to maximize performance. The fillets of all our connections have been carefully studied and adjusted to minimize hydrodynamic disturbances and increase the rigidity and resistance of the assembly.

SuperLock Self-Locking System

The V3 SuperLock self-locking connection has been engineered to ensure a perfect fit between the front wing and the fuselage, even after countless hours on the water. The greater the load applied to the front wing, the more securely the connection mechanically locks itself into the fuselage.
This design delivers a direct improvement in stiffness, precision, and silent operation. The foil remains perfectly secure, with no unwanted play, even under heavy loads during carving, pumping, acceleration, powerful turns, or hard landings. Rider input is transmitted more efficiently, steering becomes more precise, and the feeling underfoot remains consistent.
The connection requires only two screws beneath the front wing. Assembly is faster, simpler, and more user-friendly for everyday use. Wings can be swapped in just moments without multiplying screws or complicating the setup.
The locking angle has been carefully engineered to combine maximum engagement under load with effortless disassembly after the session. Even after an intense ride, the front wing can be removed from the fuselage easily.
This self-locking concept has already proven itself over several years across our V3 foil platform. It is a genuine mechanical advantage: simple, fast, rigid, reliable, and built to last.

Buying guide

For whom?

The Curve V3 Atmo Perf Series is aimed at riders who are already flying well and want to access the mid/high aspect ratio with a wing that is still easy, buoyant, and very stable.

In wing foiling, it is perfect for those who are mastering their jibes, starting to ride waves, wanting to improve their freefly, increase their average speed, and ride with more glide. It allows transitioning from simple flying to true piloting: better trajectory, better pumping, better carves, more efficiency.

In surf foiling and SUP foiling, it suits intermediate to advanced riders looking for more glide without sacrificing low-speed grip or maneuverability. It is ideal for working on clean carving turns, catching small waves, following the swell, pumping efficiently, and reconnecting to another wave.

It also suits riders who want a versatile mid/high aspect ratio wing that is not too radical and can perform in many disciplines. The Curve is an excellent quiver wing for those who want a single front wing that is slippery, buoyant, and maneuverable.

It can also appeal to advanced riders who like to undersize their wing to gain speed and maneuverability while maintaining enough lift and forgiveness to ride comfortably.

To avoid if...

The Curve is not the most logical choice for a complete beginner. To discover foiling, stabilize your first flights, and learn without stress, the X-Over will be more suitable. For simpler and more multisport freeride progression, the Ascent will be more accessible.

It is also not the most radical wing for hard snapping, sending aerial freestyle, or seeking very responsive piloting. In this area, the Fluid will be more suitable, especially in carbon for those who really want to push the limits.

If the main goal is long-distance pumping, flat start, or very efficient downwind, a Sirus or a Veloce will be more relevant depending on the program. The Curve pumps very well, but its main job remains the compromise between carving, glide, and lift.

The Curve is therefore not an extreme wing. It is an accessible mid/high aspect ratio wing, slippery and carvy, designed to progress strongly with maximum pleasure and control.

For what?

The Curve V3 Atmo Perf Series is made for carving, gliding, pumping, and surfing with ease. It offers a significant performance gain compared to a more freeride wing while remaining sufficiently buoyant and maneuverable to maintain real accessibility.

In wing foiling, it allows you to gain in low range, average speed, and freefly. It handles lulls better, provides comfortable lift in transitions, and allows you to take waves with a foil that glides without stalling. It is a very pleasant wing for underpowered riding as your level increases.

In surf foiling, it excels in small peeling waves, wind waves, soft swells, and conditions where glide must be maintained. It allows for early take-offs, following the swell, clean carving, and efficient pumping to catch another wave.

In SUP foiling, it provides a lot of comfort at take-off and very efficient glide once airborne. It allows you to enjoy weak swells, bumps, and pushing waves without stalling abruptly.

In dockstart and pumping, it can be very interesting for those who want a versatile wing with good performance. It requires more technique than a Trail, delivers less performance than a Sirus, but offers real pumping pleasure with the possibility to surf, wing, or ride differently with the same wing.

In kite foiling, the smaller sizes of Curve can offer a buoyant, slippery, and pleasant foil with maneuverability and comfortable speed. You just need to avoid too large spans, which are less suited to counter-heeling and kite speed.

The Curve is therefore the wing for beautiful carving turns and accessible glide: it allows you to surf longer, fly cleaner, relaunch more easily, and progress towards a more fluid and higher-performing foil.

What size?

The Curve has strong lift at low speed. Therefore, it is not necessary to choose a huge surface to enjoy its program. At equivalent surface, it offers more glide and more flight than a more freeride wing, which often allows you to slightly reduce the size without losing too much comfort.

Choosing a larger size maximizes early take-off, lift, low-range comfort, small waves, and pumping. It's the logical choice for heavier riders, light winds, small swells, soft waves, or riders who want a lot of margin.

Choosing an intermediate size allows you to enjoy the best balance of the Curve: lift, glide, maneuverability, carving, and pumping. It's often the most coherent choice for a rider who wants a versatile mid/high aspect ratio wing.

Choosing a smaller size allows you to gain speed, maneuverability, and precision. It's interesting for advanced riders, more powerful waves, faster conditions, or those who want a more lively wing underfoot.

In wing foiling, all sizes can work depending on weight, wind, board, and level. The weaker the wind or the heavier the rider, the more you should go for a larger size. The higher the level, the more you can reduce the surface to gain speed and carving turns.

In surf foiling and SUP foiling, you need to keep enough surface to take off comfortably and pump, but avoid oversizing if the goal is to carve hard. The right size is the one that allows you to take off early without blocking the carving turns.

In kite foiling, you should stick to smaller sizes to limit the span, avoid tip breaches, and keep a comfortable foil in counter-heeling.

If hesitating between two sizes, choose the larger one for more comfort, low-range, and pumping. Choose the smaller one only if the level, spot, and primary goal justify more speed and maneuverability.

Which stabilizer?

The Curve V3 Atmo works ideally with a stabilizer that matches its program: glide, carving, lift, and control. The goal is not to hinder its flight while maintaining enough stability to enjoy its accessibility.

A larger stabilizer provides more front foot pressure, more stability, and easier take-off. It's the logical choice for a progressing rider, a larger build, soft conditions, or a focus on low-range and easy pumping.

A smaller stabilizer frees up the Curve, increases speed, improves rail to rail, and gives a more playful foil. It requires more precision but allows better exploitation of the wing's mid/high aspect ratio potential.

The Curve pairs very well with a reasonably compact stabilizer because its high-lift profile and outline that moves the center of lift back already provide a lot of comfort. Reducing the stabilizer can therefore be a good way to gain glide and maneuverability as your level progresses.

The right setup always depends on the front wing/stabilizer combination, but also on the foil's position in the boxes. If the stabilizer is smaller and the front foot pressure decreases, you will often need to move the foil slightly forward to regain a natural balance.

In case of doubt, prioritize a comfortable stabilizer to maintain the ease that is the strength of the Curve. The goal is to enjoy the mid/high aspect ratio, not to make the wing unnecessarily technical.
