What does the new leading edge segmentation change on the 2026 wings?

It changes everything. The 2026 leading edge is much more precise, capable of being both stiffer and livelier at the same time.

Aesthetically, it’s also nicer, rounder, more set back: it radiates fine mastery of shape.

There is over-segmentation at the core of the wing, which completely stiffens the central zone.

Result: the wing doesn’t twist or bend. This is exactly what explains the huge performances in freestyle or slalom: the center of the wing is rock-solid, perfectly stable. Then, there are fairly consistent segments along the rest of the leading edge to ensure homogeneous and predictable behavior.

Finally, as we approach the tips, segmentation is reinforced again. This is where it all happens: this over-segmentation allows perfect control of the micro-twist at the tips, and therefore of the leech tension. We don’t want it to open too quickly. With this construction, twist remains limited under load, progressive, and fully controlled.

In the end, this gives a wing that is still just as powerful at its core, still efficient, but with crisp, sharp, precise sensations. Nothing gives way, everything feels clear in the hands. It’s absolute efficiency. Exactly what we’re looking for.

On the Neutra, whose wingspan has been significantly reduced in 2026 (28 cm less, with a chord extended by 7 cm on a 4.5 m² Aramid), this re-segmentation is less extreme, in order to preserve the fluidity and smoothness that characterize it, while making it more powerful thanks to a completely redesigned outline.
