Overview
The Ypra Race V3 Atmo mast is the Pro Team Series carbon mast dedicated to wing foiling and kite foiling race. It is designed for riders who want to go fast, hold aggressive angles, load up in counter-heel and keep total control at full speed.
Its 112 cm length provides the essential margin needed in race. You can fly higher to handle chop with confidence, push the heel angle without bringing the front wing out of the water, and keep the foil predictable both upwind and on fast downwind legs.
Its slim profile and reduced chord minimise drag to unlock glide. The profile was selected from hundreds of sections, after hundreds of hours of numerical simulation, to achieve a precise balance of speed, stiffness and stability.
Its progressive outline distributes material where loads are highest. The result: a stiff mast under heavy load, without adding unnecessary weight in areas where slimness and glide come first.
The one-piece UHM carbon Pro Team Series construction, with 3K Purple finish, delivers direct response underfoot. Pressure transfers cleanly with no lag, the foil stays stable through acceleration, and control remains sharp in critical phases.
Available in Top Plate and Deep Tuttle, the Ypra Race V3 Atmo mast fits both race board standards. The Top Plate version offers adjustable mounting on standard US tracks. The Deep Tuttle version is aimed at dedicated race boards, with a more integrated, more direct connection and lower overall weight.
Shape and construction optimization
Through extensive work on viscous effects, rather than focusing solely on reducing frontal area, we chose to reduce the chord significantly more than the thickness.
This approach, centered on minimizing the time the flow remains in contact with the profile, allowed us to reduce drag by 8%.
At the same time, maintaining sufficient relative thickness and switching to a UHM carbon construction delivered a major mechanical gain: +60% flexural stiffness and +60% torsional stiffness.
These two elements, reduced drag and increased stiffness, are the foundations of control and performance. Combined with this highly refined work on viscous effects, they have enabled us to develop what we consider to be our highest-performing foil mast to date.
LENGTH 112 CM
The 112 cm length is designed for racing. It lets you ride high, keep more margin in the chop and load harder against the heel without bringing the front wing out of the water.
This height changes everything in committed lines. Upwind, the rider can push the angle and maintain stability. Bearing away, the mast gives you more time and more margin as speed builds and the water state gets more demanding.
In wing foiling as in kite foiling, this length lets you make the most of modern race setups with more control, more usable speed and greater confidence.

THIN PROFILE
The slim 12.6 mm profile reduces drag in the water and unlocks speed. In racing, every tenth of a millimetre counts: less drag means more acceleration, better inertia retention and a higher average speed.
This profile was selected from hundreds of profiles after hundreds of hours of numerical simulation. The goal was not just to go for a thin profile, but to find the best balance between glide, stiffness, control and delayed ventilation.
The result is a mast that slices cleanly through the water, stays stable as speed builds, and keeps a very clear, readable feel underfoot.

REDUCED CHORD
The minimum chord of 82.7 mm reduces the surface area exposed to the flow. The mast generates less parasitic drag, helping the foil accelerate more freely and maintain its speed on long reaches.
This reduced chord matters especially in racing, where the goal is not top speed but high VMG maintained throughout the entire heat. The foil must stay fast, stable and efficient over time.
Combined with the thin profile, it delivers a mast with better glide, cleaner flow and greater efficiency on long trajectories.

PROGRESSIVE OUTLINE
The progressive outline distributes the material intelligently across the full height of the mast. The most heavily loaded areas get the stiffness they need, while the sections where slimness matters most remain more refined.
This design keeps the mast very stiff under heavy load, without adding unnecessary volume. In racing, this stiffness is essential for holding angles, transferring rider input and keeping the foil precise when the rider is pushing hard.
The progressive outline therefore contributes directly to control, stability and glide quality.

UHM CARBON CONSTRUCTION
The one-piece UHM carbon Pro Team Series construction is designed to maximise stiffness, precision and power transfer. The mast works as a direct structural link between the board and the foil.
This stiffness changes the feel at high speed. Inputs are cleaner, corrections more precise, and the foil stays more stable through critical phases: starts, speed build-up, gybes, bear-aways, upwind legs and chop sections.
The 3K Purple finish marks its place in the Pro Team Series and delivers a technical, premium look, perfectly matched with the highest-performance V3 Atmo race setups.

It is not designed for beginners, mellow surf sessions, accessible downwind, classic freeride cruising or use with a board that is not compatible with the chosen connection.
Avoid it as well if you do not want to handle a long, demanding race setup. At 112 cm, this mast brings a huge amount of margin and performance, but it requires skill, speed and a suitable board.

Compatibility
The Ypra Race V3 Atmo mast is compatible with V3 and Micro V3 Atmo fuselages.
It is not compatible with the older Micro V3 Race fuselage, nor with other fuselages outside the V3 and Micro V3 Atmo standard.
The Top Plate version is compatible with boards fitted with standard US tracks.
The Deep Tuttle version is compatible with boards fitted with a Deep Tuttle box.
Which version?
Choose the Top Plate version if your board is fitted with standard US tracks and you want to keep precise adjustment of the foil position in the boxes. It is the easiest version to fine-tune according to your stance, your board, your level and your programme.
Choose the Deep Tuttle version if your race board is fitted with a Deep Tuttle box. This version offers a more integrated, more direct and lighter connection.
So the choice does not depend only on your level, but above all on your board. Top Plate for US tracks. Deep Tuttle for dedicated race boards.

Is the Ypra Race V3 Atmo mast made for wing race or kite race?
It is built for both. Its programme is racing in wing foiling and kite foiling, with a clear goal: maximise speed, upwind angle, VMG and control at high speed. Its 112 cm length, thin profile and UHM carbon construction meet the demands of both disciplines.
Why a 112 cm mast?
The 112 cm length lets you fly higher, keep more margin in the chop and load harder against the heel without bringing the front wing out of the water. In racing, this height lets you hold more committed angles and stay in control as the speed builds.
What is the difference between Top Plate and Deep Tuttle?
The Top Plate version mounts to standard US tracks and lets you fine-tune the foil’s position in the boxes. The Deep Tuttle version mounts to a race board fitted with a Deep Tuttle box. It is more integrated, more direct and lighter.
Which fuselages is it compatible with?
The Ypra Race V3 Atmo mast is compatible with standard V3 fuselages and Micro V3 Atmo fuselages. It is not compatible with the old Micro V3 Race fuselage or with any other fuselages outside the V3 and Micro V3 Atmo standards.

No, not for classic freeride. This is a very committed race and freerace mast. It may appeal to a high-performance rider looking to go very fast, but it is not designed for learning, cruising around, laid-back surfing or looking for broad, accessible versatility.
