For whom?
In single-strut fiberglass, it's as simple as any inflatable single-strut kite. So, everyone will easily access its incredible flying qualities, especially in light wind conditions where it's amazing.
Moreover, it's a kite that inherently isn't ridden overpowered, and therefore, isn't physically demanding.
For what?
The Strutless Revo is the inflatable single-strut kite that will excel in foil freeride/tricks and surfing. You can also leisurely cruise with a kite that doesn't pull air and glides beautifully in light or gusty winds.
Ideal for foiling, it also works great for surfing for those who love light and self-stable kites.
What Kite size?
The Strutless Revo, with its low ratio and thin profile, is a kite that glides but doesn't need to be overpowered to have fun.
Choose your kite following our recommendations below. Wind ranges always depend on your weight, skill level, and the type of board you're riding!
What Bar size?
The choice of your bar size will have a direct impact on the overall feel of your kite. Remember that the longer your bar, the easier it will be to turn your kite. This detail is important when using larger kites, especially in very light winds, to maintain good responsiveness. The longer leverage compensates for this natural loss of responsiveness.
On the contrary, the smaller the kite, the faster it will turn! So, using a smaller bar allows you to balance behaviors and calm down kite reactions. Therefore, consider these factors when choosing the size of your bar and adjust the control to the feeling you like and the conditions you encounter.
If you prefer smooth and gradual control, you should "undersize" your bar. If you prefer fast and responsive control, you should choose a larger bar.
The key size is the 52cm bar. It is the most versatile bar to choose if you want to have only one bar for a quiver of 7-9-12 or 8-11 or even 8-10-13.
When you are equipped with an extended kite quiver, it's best to also have a range of bar sizes to maintain a balanced feel when switching from a small kite to a larger one. Also, note that having two bars reduces wear on parts by half!
Here are our recommendations:
The above recommendations are based on the behavior of GONG kites. Since our bars are compatible with a wide range of kites, you can adapt your choice based on the type of kite used.
Line Length:
Your Feel-X bar comes standard with 80cm front lines, 19m of lines, and 3m extensions already mounted.
The original setup is the most versatile and will be your best choice for 90% of your sessions.
One of the main advantages of the Feel-X bar is its great tolerance provided by its shape. By playing with its lengths, or even modifying them with our extensions (sold separately), you further enhance its versatility!
22m Lines: The "standard" length provides a more progressive and predictable bar feeling (recommended setting for progressing kiters). Your flight window will be larger, offering more power at takeoff. This is the setting to favor in light to medium wind conditions, and for everyday freeride use.
19m Lines: Shorter lines offer a more direct response from the kite, increasing its reactivity. The flight window will be shorter. This is the perfect setting for advanced kiters, especially for wave riding or foil for more agility. If you choose to ride with shorter lines, you will also gain comfort in high wind conditions.
Note that 22m and 19m are not extreme line lengths and remain a fine adjustment to your piloting sensation.

There's often a misconception that a kite without inflatable struts is complicated. In reality, it's quite the opposite because it naturally holds its shape in the air, reducing potential issues. This kite can be piloted with great precision. Fans of 4-line kites will love it because the maneuverability and drift capabilities of a Strutless are truly exceptional.
Among the Strutless models, the Revo is the most accessible with its compact and rounded outline. It grips the air securely, generates power even in light winds, and is easy to relaunch.

WHAT’S THE BENEFIT OF FIBERGLASS BATTENS ?
The Strutless Revo also behaves exactly like a traditional single-strut inflatable kite when equipped with fiberglass battens. Same high wind range, same depower, same speed, everything. But these battens without volume reduce the kite's drag by 30%! This results in extraordinary glide for better performance. Another benefit of fiberglass battens: you can choose not to use them!!!
It's up to you. In very light wind conditions, you can opt for the pure strutless setup to reduce weight and optimize performance. It's customizable: no battens, one batten, it's your choice, but in any case, you'll reduce drag by 30%.

WHAT ABOUT RELAUNCHING A KITE WITHOUT INFLATABLE BATTENS ?
It's better!!! Firstly, because without battens, the kite is much lighter. So, it will flip over and rise from the water more easily in light wind. Secondly, because no batten protrudes to trap water and weigh down the kite in a way that prevents relaunching. This water retention is a common cause of relaunch failure in inflatable batten kites.
In reality, Strutless kites sometimes have a reputation for poor relaunching because users push them into wind ranges so low that nothing will relaunch. They're not magic. But they always relaunch better than inflatable batten kites when you have the technique.

WHAT INFLATION PRESSURE ?
The recommended pressure is indicated in the “Size guide”, at the top of the page.

- An underinflated kite will be unstable and difficult to control in gusty winds. Relaunching will also be more complicated with a kite that doesn't maintain its shape.
- An overinflated kite increases the risk of explosion during a crash and will fatigue the seams and materials of your kite more quickly.
- If you leave your kite inflated in the sun for a long period, we recommend slightly deflating it to reduce the risk of seam fatigue.
KITE WITH OR WITHOUT PULLEYS ?
The Strutless Revo is a lightweight and sleek kite. A pulley-less bridle, like the Elips, would make its behavior too responsive. Conversely, using three pulleys like the Vertigo would complicate the simplicity of this kite. Therefore, we opted for a short bridle with a single pulley friction ring.
This type of bridle, simple and proven, provides control, tolerance, and remains straightforward to minimize wear and tear while providing an additional sense of security.

COMPATIBILITY OF BARS ?
The Strutless Revo has been developed to work with the FeelX bar. Our bar has 4 lines of equal lengths and a low V at the front.
