Its key feature: maintaining useful lift at low speeds without restricting speed to offer the magical gliding feeling of this range of tail wings.
With its aspect ratio of 13.4, its centered surface, and its optimized profile, it offers an easier and earlier take-off, excellent speed retention and constant control, even at low speed or during take-off.
The result: earlier take-off, restart more easily and exploit more situations.

Customize your foil with precision:
The new range of modular carbon tails and tail wings from GONG allows you to adapt the performance of your foil to your preferences and riding style. Thanks to a mounting system for stabilizer wings screwed onto carbon shafts , perfectly compatible with systems available on the market, you can configure your foil to your exact specifications by adjusting the length of the rear fuselage and the angle of the tail wing with interchangeable shims.
- Three lengths of carbon rear shafts are available to tame or enhance the performance of your foil. The screw system is standard market-compliant, so all options are available.
- A very wide range of rear wings, including wings integrated into the GONG one-piece stabilizer and new templates, allows you to fine-tune the behavior of your foil.
- A modular rear wing system screwed onto a carbon shaft with an angle shim that you can change and, for example, print at home, offering an infinite number of adjustments to create the foil perfectly suited to your style.
With these options, you have total control over the responsiveness, stability and glide of your foil.

The surface distribution has been optimized to allow for more forgiving behavior and attractive curves.
The combination of a 13.4 aspect ratio and a centered surface distribution allows for a blend of smooth glide, maneuverability, and low-end power. This structural compromise optimizes takeoff, speed, and dynamic control while pumping.
The tapered rope at the tips of the tail wing minimizes drag, offering that feeling of freedom when gliding and rail to rail.

The Hyper Trail's profile has been designed to deliver that magical glide. Thanks to its construction, the overall thinness is consistent across the entire piece, thus reducing drag at various speeds and across a wide range of uses.
LOW DIHEDRAL
The dihedral angles in this range all share the same DNA: a very shallow dihedral angle. This configuration prioritizes maximum pumping efficiency. It optimizes energy transfer with each stroke, making pumping more direct and effective.
It offers better straight-line efficiency, allowing you to maintain a glide close to the surface and improve the overall performance of the foil over long distances.

UNIVERSAL FIT
Total freedom: These tail wings work with any fuselage that uses a two-screw system, including the GONG Carbon Tail, other brands, and even custom setups.

MAXIMUM CUSTOMIZATION

To take off downwind while having glide, agility, and control in flight, jump earlier on your dockstart board during the run on the dock or glide over the slightest bump in wing or lowkite.

What size Carbon Tail?
- Freestyle and surf: Choose the short shaft for extreme maneuverability, allowing sharp turns and explosive tricks.
Freeride and versatility: The medium shaft balances stability and agility, letting you explore all aspects of foiling with ease.
Pumping and downwind: With the long shaft, fully harness large front wings and enjoy exceptional stability and control to master long distances or small swell bumps.

Equipments
The tail wing is sold on its own.
The necessary screws for mounting it on the Carbon Tail (2 M6 x 20 mm screws) are included with the Carbon Tail.
The tail wing must be mounted with one of the available shims (+1°, 0°, -1°, -2°, or -3°); it cannot be installed alone.
If in doubt, we recommend starting with the 0° shim to get familiar with the tail wing's behavior.
