The Lethal FSP Pro is a narrow, high-performance surf foil board designed for fast waves, committed turns, and riders who want precise, powerful, and direct control, whether strapped or strapless.

Overview

The Lethal FSP Pro is the most performance-oriented surf foil board for fast, powerful, or challenging waves. Its narrow, precise, and highly slippery shape provides maximum control when speed increases, the slope becomes serious, and every stance must be precise.

Its outline concentrates only the necessary width. The nose remains thin, the widest point is contained, and the useful width at the rear foot allows for effective offset without unnecessarily widening the board. The result: a direct board underfoot that loves speed, places precisely in the carve, and doesn't overwhelm you when charging hard.

The Lethal is made to push angles to the extreme. Its narrow round tail frees up turns, limits touchdowns, and maintains a very pleasant continuity of support when the board reconnects. You can go full speed, maintain speed, hold the line, and carve with true steering precision, without the width blocking your choices.

In FSP Pro, dedicated strap inserts for surf foil stance add a huge dimension of control. The straps enforce proper stances, allow pushing and pulling on the board, improve pumping, limit stance errors, and facilitate recovery from mistakes. The Lethal retains its performance shortboard feel, but with locked stances that allow for even harder charging.

The strapped stance is asymmetrical, regular or goofy, with two straps provided. The rear foot remains firmly toeside to maintain power in the stance, while the angled front foot provides drive and control in fast turns. This placement allows for a surfing attitude while benefiting from superior strap control in carves, airs, rotations, and heavy landings.

The hull is designed to handle contacts without a brutal braking effect. On a landing or in a survival descent, contact with the water should not become an immediate penalty. The double concave at the nose channels the flow and softens touchdowns, the flat central area maintains glide, and the almost vertical kick tail limits suction. The Lethal glides on contact, frees up, and allows you to continue without being stopped abruptly.

Its outline-to-hull surface ratio is closer to 1/1 than other shapes. Practically, the useful surface under the board remains very consistent with the outline: you maintain real glide on contact, a clear response underfoot that doesn't fail and surfs almost like a surfboard without a foil. You can pull into barrels!!! It offers the ability to easily pop back up after a touchdown, a 360 landing, a cover-up, or a carve that touches.

The lowered deck with its concave cockpit brings the feet closer to the foil to enhance the connection with the wing. The stances are more readable, more powerful, and more direct. This precision is essential in fast waves, committed carves, and angle changes where the board must instantly transmit every pressure.

The moderate but maintained width at the rear foot provides enough offset to push hard without cheating or discomfort. The rear foot can be placed powerfully, close to a performance shortboard stance, without having toes in the air. This allows the Lethal to remain narrow without losing the necessary connection in powerful turns.

Its thin point nose reduces inertia at the front and maintains a healthy attitude in the air. The nose bulb provides just the necessary volume under the chest to aid paddling and compensate for the lowered deck, without unnecessarily thickening the stance area. The Lethal thus retains enough glide to position in fast waves, take off early, and use smaller foils while remaining lively and precise once standing.

The stretched rocker optimises paddling speed and glide before takeoff. The absence of a big nose kick in front avoids violent braking when the board touches. You accept more contact in glide because it's not fatal: the board planes, glides, frees up, and ultimately encourages engagement.

The boxes are set back compared to the previous shape, in relation to the stance placement. This provides more foil adjustment range towards the rear, with a clear orientation towards control. It's a real plus to calm the board, control more speed, and charge harder in fast or powerful waves.

When towed, the Lethal FSP Pro makes even more sense. You strap in before the rope tension, then immediately benefit from the control, locked stances, and the strength of the full carbon/glass sandwich. The board can handle powerful stances, heavy landings, airs, rotations, and heavily loaded carves without losing the precision that defines its DNA.

The Lethal approaches a performance shortboard feel in surf foil: fast lines, powerful carves, precise stances, control on the slope, and the ability to engage without being overwhelmed by the board. It's not made for relaxed surfing or making multiple mistakes; it's made for those who know how to read the wave, place their take-off, and exploit a very direct board.

Built in FSP Pro full carbon/glass sandwich under vacuum, with high-density PVC foam on the deck, hull, and rails, the Lethal gains in rigidity, responsiveness, and durability. This construction supports the efforts of strapped, towed, powerful stances, heavy landings, and intensive use while maintaining ultra-precise steering.

The new 5 mm Ridge Traction Pad provides very secure grip on essential stance areas, with a firm hold and real comfort underfoot. The Lethal comes with a front pad and a tail pad glued on, while the intermediate boomerang pad, offered separately, allows connecting these two areas for those who want a continuous grip surface.

The Lethal FSP Pro is the board for going fast, descending full speed, carving hard, holding powerful lines, and maintaining control in pushing waves. A narrow, precise, and radical board designed to transform speed into clean trajectories, with strap control and the necessary strength to push much further.

GONG | Surf Foil Board Lethal FSP Pro
Shape
OUTLINE

The outline of the Lethal is narrow, taut, and performance-oriented. The nose remains thin, the widest point is contained, and the useful width is concentrated where it truly aids control: under the chest while paddling, under the front foot, and around the back foot to maintain an effective offset, both strapless and strapped.

This reduced width helps limit bulk in turns and keeps the board very responsive underfoot. The Lethal glides quickly, positions precisely, and handles strong pressure without feeling like a board that overflows or hinders movement. In FSP Pro, the straps allow for even more forceful riding on this narrow outline, locking in the pressure without losing the surf stance.

NOSE

The nose of the Lethal is thin, pointed, and light to reduce inertia at the front and maintain a very stable attitude in the air. It complements the board's performance programme: less unnecessary surface for a pro, less mass in front, more precision in angle changes.

The nose bulb provides the necessary volume under the chest to maintain effective paddling and compensate for the lowered deck, without unnecessarily thickening the stance area. It helps to maintain support at the start and to stand up cleanly in fast or hollow waves. When using straps while paddling, this stability under the chest remains important, as you need to manage strapping in during a more technical take-off phase.

DECK

The lowered deck creates a concave cockpit in the stance area to bring the feet closer to the foil. This results in a more direct, precise, and powerful feel, which is essential in fast waves and highly committed turns.

Despite its narrow outline, the Lethal retains enough width at the rear foot for effective offset. In FSP Pro, the dedicated strap inserts for surf foil stance make use of this useful width: the rear foot can remain powerful, toeside, with a solid grip, while the angled front foot provides drive and control. The straps lock the feet in the right place, enhance pumping, limit support errors, and make it easier to recover from certain mistakes.

HULL & RAILS

The hull of the Lethal is designed to maximise glide on contact. The double concave at the nose channels the flow and softens touchdowns, while the flat hull around the foil maintains speed and provides a sharp response underfoot.

The faceted rails reduce the hull surface and minimise contact in sharp angles. At the rear, the rails become more liberating, with sharp edges that allow the water to detach cleanly. The Lethal remains stable when it touches down: it glides, releases, and allows you to continue the carve without a sudden brake. In FSP Pro, this hull makes even more sense in heavy landings, rotations, towing, and heavily loaded carves, as the straps help keep the board with you and allow for cleaner re-popping.

TAIL

The narrower tail behind the back foot of the Lethal releases the turns and limits touching in committed angles. It allows you to push hard on the foil, maintain a fast trajectory, and keep control when the wave accelerates.

The round tail retains just the right amount of smoothness and continuity in the supports, while the verticalised kick tail facilitates clean water exits after contact. The Lethal doesn't seek the massive lift of a wide tail: it prioritises precision, glide, and freedom in powerful turns. In the FSP Pro version, the straps allow you to load this narrow tail harder, control landings, 360s, airs, and carves that touch, with more margin than strapless.

New Ridge Traction Pad

The new 5 mm Ridge Traction Pad delivers secure, comfortable grip across the key pressure zones. Its texture stabilizes foot placement, reduces micro-slippage, and enhances control during the most demanding phases of riding: pumping, committed turns, low landings, and re-accelerations.

Its three-piece layout lets you adapt the grip surface to your riding style. The front and rear pads cover the main pressure zones while maintaining a radical look and optimized weight. The intermediate boomerang pad, available separately, creates a continuous traction surface for riders seeking additional comfort and deck protection.

The circular perforations further reduce weight while improving grip underfoot, bringing your feet even closer to the board. The result is a board that feels livelier, more responsive, and more connected beneath your feet.

FSP Pro Technology

Full carbon/PVC sandwich construction, strap-ready control, and maximum durability.

FSP Pro technology is engineered for riders pushing strap surf foiling to the highest level. Its lightweight EPS core is fully wrapped in a vacuum-laminated carbon/fiberglass sandwich construction with high-density PVC foam on the deck, bottom, and rails. The result is an exceptionally stiff, responsive, durable board capable of withstanding the extreme loads generated by aggressive surf foiling, aerial manoeuvres, and tow foiling.

  • Epoxy resin, carbon fibre, high-density PVC foam, and a lightweight EPS core combine to create a structure that is light, durable, and highly responsive.
  • 3D-designed shape developed with CAD software for precise control of volume, outlines, and balance.
  • CNC pre-shaped blank guaranteeing absolute consistency from board to board.
  • Final hand-finishing using traditional templates to preserve the shaper's craftsmanship and precision.
  • 15 kg/m³ lightweight EPS core, optimized specifically for high-performance sandwich construction.
  • Vacuum-laminated carbon/fiberglass construction with high-density PVC sandwich covering the deck, bottom, and rails.
  • Deck: one layer of 6 oz carbon fibre for maximum responsiveness, a full 80 kg/m³ PVC sandwich, and one layer of 6 oz fiberglass for impact absorption, complemented by localized fiberglass reinforcements in high-stress areas to combine stiffness, durability, and long-term strength.
  • Bottom: one layer of 6 oz carbon fibre, full 80 kg/m³ PVC sandwich, and one layer of 6 oz fiberglass with additional localized reinforcements to maximize stiffness, direct response, and resistance to foil loads.
  • Rails: the high-density PVC sandwich fully wraps the rails, significantly improving structural integrity, impact resistance, and torsional stiffness.
  • Foil box construction: a 35 mm thick, 80 kg/m³ high-density PVC foam insert fully integrates the twin US boxes into a waterproof, ultra-strong structural block. Three carbon layers reinforce this area, while vertically laminated PVC shear webs connect the insert directly to the deck, creating an exceptionally rigid foil-to-board connection and increasing long-term durability.
  • Dedicated reinforcements around the footstrap inserts withstand heavy pulling forces, powerful landings, and aerial manoeuvres.
  • Pigmented hot coat for premium finish quality, reduced weight, and enhanced durability.
  • Hand-finished matte custom finish to minimize weight while maintaining excellent glide.
  • Predominantly white finish to minimize heat absorption compared with darker colours.

Even with a light-coloured finish, an EPS sandwich board should never be left unnecessarily exposed to direct sunlight or excessive heat.

Buying guide

For whom?

The Lethal FSP Pro is aimed at advanced to pro riders who want a narrow, fast, and ultra-precise surf foil board, designed for powerful, fast, or challenging waves, with the added control of straps and the durability of full carbon/glass sandwich construction.

It is ideally suited for those who can perfectly read the waves, position themselves correctly, and make the most of a direct board underfoot. Its appeal is greatest for riders who want to carve hard, hold fast lines, use smaller foils, and maintain control in conditions where speed and precision become priorities.

The Lethal FSP Pro can be ridden strapless or strapped. Strapless, it retains the direct and precise behavior of the Lethal, with the added structural integrity, stiffness, and durability of the FSP Pro construction. It's a real choice for those who charge hard, demand a lot from their gear, or want a board capable of handling more powerful pressures, impacts, brutal landings, and intensive use.

Strapped, it adds a dimension of control for radical riding. Straps do require placing your feet correctly and adjusting your foil properly, but they allow you to push and pull on the board, improve pumping, limit pressure errors, and facilitate recovery from mistakes. You ride less on eggshells and are less affected by the water surface, which can be really moving and disturbed in solid waves.

In paddle surf foil, it requires a real level of skill as you need to manage strapping in during the take-off. In tow or wake, it's much more natural: you strap in before the rope tension, then immediately benefit from the control.

The boxes set back compared to the previous shape offer more foil adjustment range towards the rear, with a clear focus on control. It's a real plus for calming the board, maintaining more speed, charging harder, and exploiting fast or powerful waves with more leeway.

To avoid if...

The Lethal FSP Pro is not the best choice if the goal is to have an easy, forgiving, voluminous, or very accessible board.

It's also not ideal if the rider is looking for a very compact board, ultra-easy for pumping, made for short snaps, opportunistic connections, or small mushy waves. The Lethal requires more speed, more reading, and more commitment to express itself.

In paddle surf foil, straps add a real constraint at the start. They become incredible once in flight, but you need to know how to strap in cleanly, stay calm during the take-off phase, and accept a more technical and less natural gesture than strapless. For a rider who primarily wants ease in paddling, strapless freedom, and a simpler board to manage under the chest, the Lethal EPS Pro might be more suitable.

If the goal is to start, paddle quietly, or maximize comfort in weak conditions, a more accessible or elongated shape will be more appropriate. The Lethal makes sense when the wave pushes, when the slope forms, and when the rider wants to transform speed into trajectory. The FSP Pro pushes this program even further, but it also requires more skill, especially with the straps mounted.

For what?

The Lethal FSP Pro is made for fast waves, powerful curves, and situations where control must remain total despite the speed. It allows for early take-offs, holding a line, descending at full speed, pushing hard, and keeping a stable board during water contact phases.

Its narrow shape reduces bulk and improves precision in curves. Its narrower tail frees up angles. Its hull, close to the Lemon spirit, accepts contacts without abrupt braking. The Lethal thus allows for more engagement in serious waves, with less penalty when a mistake brings the board into contact or when you want to calm things down.

Strapless, the FSP Pro mainly brings more solidity, more rigidity, and superior structural integrity. It's a relevant choice for those who like the behavior of the Lethal but want a construction capable of handling more intensity, shocks, powerful pressures, and repeated use.

Strapped, the straps change the potential. They lock in the pressures, improve pumping, secure foot placement, increase precision, and allow for more aggressive curves, airs, rotations, brutal landings, and towed use. The Lethal retains its performance shortboard feel, but with superior control and much more leeway when pushing hard.

It is also very relevant with smaller and faster foils. Its paddling speed, glide on contact, and control allow for exploiting more performance-oriented setups, with a board capable of keeping up. In FSP Pro, the full carbon/glass sandwich construction adds the necessary strength to repeat maneuvers, withstand constraints, and push the program further.

Understanding the GONG range

What board size?

The choice of size depends on weight, skill level, spot, wave power, type of foil used, and main use: strapless, strapped, or towed.

Smaller sizes are for expert riders who want maximum precision, liveliness, and control in fast waves or with performance foils. They require solid paddling, good timing, and precise positioning.

Intermediate volumes offer the best balance between paddling, control, and performance. It's often the most coherent choice to exploit the Lethal in varied conditions without losing too much comfort at the start.

Larger volumes provide more paddling speed, more stability under the chest, and more leeway in fast, powerful, or technical waves. They allow for earlier take-offs, secure positioning, and using smaller foils with more comfort.

For strapped paddling use, you need to keep enough volume to manage the presence of straps under the chest, succeed in take-offs, and strap in cleanly without making the board unnecessarily technical. A board that's too small complicates paddling, positioning, and strapping.

For towed use, you can choose more radically, as paddling is no longer the issue. The volume can be more oriented towards control, precision, powerful carves, airs, rotations, and landings, provided you keep a size consistent with your weight, skill level, and the foil used.

Refer to the size chart to choose the appropriate volume based on weight, skill level, usual conditions, the foil used, and main use.

In paddle surf foil, if hesitating between two sizes, opt for the larger one to gain paddling speed, stability, and consistency in fast or technical waves, especially if the straps are mounted.

Strapless, the choice can remain close to that of the EPS Pro, with the FSP Pro as a more solid and durable option for riders who charge hard or demand a lot from their gear.

In towed use, the most radical size can be more easily justified if the technical level follows, as the start is assisted and the program focuses more on control, aerials, landings, and maneuvers.

Which foil?

The Lethal will be perfect with the Curve H, Fluid H, and Veloce H ranges.

Each of these high-performance wings has its strengths on which development has been particularly focused:

The Curve H : the combo of maneuverability and lift.
It is the queen of carving and low range (which doesn't mean it can't rev up!). It's also the most comfortable for pumping, allowing for numerous connections without burning your thighs.

The Fluid H: the combo of maneuverability and speed.
Perfect for tight turns, going fast, gliding, and having a very lively ride. Add to that a very powerful pop, and it's a foil that truly goes everywhere you want, in the water and in the air!

The Veloce H: the combo of glide and versatility.
It's a freefly and downwind machine. With it, you glide and connect bumps without limit with unparalleled fluidity. It has great acceleration capacity on the wave and a very low stall speed, making flying easy in any circumstance.

The Veloce HDW: 100% glide.
To be even more focused on the infinite glide program, the Veloce HDW. The queen of downwind.

The Sirus: wings with the ultimate ratio to fly longer than anyone else in marginal conditions and dock start

Which stabiliser?

Example: Preferably, we recommend pairing a Curve H stabiliser with your Curve H front wing, as these two components are designed for the same program and optimized to work in perfect harmony.

Generalities on choosing stabiliser sizes:
The preferred size will depend on your support, skill level, weight, spot conditions, and also your front wing.
