The Vertigo Aramid 2026 is the lightweight, high-performance 3-strut kite for all styles : big air, loops, tricks, twin tip, foil, and even surfing. No need to choose between power, precision, hang time, responsiveness, or drift: it does everything perfectly.
The new Vertigo Aramid has changed dimensions.
This Vertigo from the Team Series range boosts all programs. Designed for twin tip, it has the glide and maneuverability that we love in many aspects of kitesurfing.
We keep the light, fluid, easy-to-live-with 3-strut design, but everything else has been pushed further: higher ratio, very centered surface, thin and fast tips, 7-point bridle without pulleys.
The Aramid construction further enhances this characteristic. With less weight in the leading edge and struts, the Vertigo Aramid exits every maneuver with more speed, centers itself more quickly in the wind window, and maintains astonishing control even when fully powered. Loops are cleaner, the kite holds its position better during rotations, and relaunch is instantaneous.
In sailing, this translates to a kite that performs very well as soon as you sheet in, with lightning-fast satellite launch and lift that allows time for a clean landing.
The loops are powerful but controllable , with very good traction feedback throughout the loop.
Its strength lies in its ultra-clean flight: the kite remains clean, stable, and predictable, even when heavily powered. It doesn't have the inertia of a 5-strut big air kite, but it offers a level of lift and performance in the same category, while remaining lighter and more versatile.
In the Aramid version, this lightness is really felt on the water: less fatigue in the arms, more margin in low and high ranges, and a feeling of kite that “glides” much more, without inertia.
In twin tip configurations, it's the perfect kite for 90% of riders who want high performance without switching to a 5-strut kite. It's a lively, lightweight, powerful kite that loops perfectly.
When foiling, it is super efficient for fully committed tricks, and thanks to its lightness and lift, the low end top of the class.
In surfing, Airton uses it in competition to benefit from this central support and responsiveness which allows him to alternate between the best strapless tricks and surf efficiently.
Regardless of the board, what the Vertigo 2026 does in the air is key: incredible lift, amazing maneuverability, immediate recovery, perfect control of power in loops, and precise bar feel. It's clearly the benchmark modern 3-strut kite for this type of riding.
A major development of the Team Series range lies in the revolutionary material of its inflatable structure.
UPE Aramid is the lightest and stiffest material on the market on selected axes. Depending on the angulation of the Aramid mesh, we control the stretching axes and release the rotation axes. This means that we have the possibility of reducing the diameters, and therefore the drag and the weight, for the same behavior. Of course our research focused on an optimal and diffused reduction to preserve the twisting qualities, which are essential to the design of a maneuverable kite, while locking the C of the shape.
The sensations in the hands are simply astonishing. The kite is both one of the stiffest and one of the lightest, while remaining incredibly maneuverable: a whole new experience of flight and precision/feeling. It’s simply incredible and perfectly in line with our desire to offer the best.
At 85g/m2 (2 times less than Dacron!), this UPE Aramid present on the leading edge and the struts ensures an unparalleled gain in reactivity.
In addition to its exceptional mechanical properties, this material also has a very low absorption rate. The kite gains very little weight when wet.And this material is also very resistant to tearing, an important point when launching on some sketchy spots.
Obviously, a superb material without perfect assembly is worthless, and we have worked in infinite detail to ensure the reliability of the technical solutions for its implementation. For this, we have tested all known assemblies on traction machines and innovated with new and exclusive assembly methods at GONG to surpass the standards. Our kites have never been so robust.
Better than gold !!!
This kite is built with the best materials available for a high-end kite, thanks to Aramid.
Our decades of experience in kiting, along with all the advancements made in wings, have allowed us to push the performance of our kites to an unprecedented level.
Aramid, combined with lab-tested stitching, offers the best in responsiveness, lightness, and material strength for the leading edge.
The unique feature of Aramid is that it doesn’t lock the shape of the kite. It’s ultra-light, with minimal stretch, but still allows for twist control by programming the fiber axis. This way, we get all the benefits of the best material without the downsides. The kite is lively, reactive, and does not delaminate.
The proven triple ripstop canopy, used for several years, offers perfect durability and strength at an ultra-light weight of 55g/m².
Strategically placed reinforcements ensure the durability of your gear:
Our kites are manufactured in one of the two best factories in the world, renowned for its exceptional and consistent quality level in the high-end kite industry.
Each step, from precise digital cutting to meticulous manual assembly, is carried out by the best specialized craftsmen.
By choosing a GONG kite, you benefit from exceptional technological quality, meticulous construction, and a rigorous selection of the best materials available on the market. Every technical detail is designed to ensure high-level performance, maximum durability, and maximum enjoyment on the water.
List of our proven materials:
On the water, this Aramid + light canopy + thin bridle combo results in a kite that is noticeably more reactive than a Dacron construction, with less inertia in its movements, reduced deformation in gusts, and a much cleaner bar feedback. You can feel the structure working efficiently: the kite stays locked in and precise, even when heavily powered, without collapsing or softening over the course of your sessions.
Technical sheet
Buying guide
Clearly the kite for the twin tip rider who wants a high-performance 3-strut kite capable of sending very high, very far, and supporting a real commitment in loops, while remaining versatile in foil and surf.
The Aramid construction provides the rigidity and responsiveness needed to handle this type of riding, while remaining readable and usable for an experienced rider.
We'll love it as soon as the basics are mastered because it's a very safe and light kite, easy to fly and will reveal your twin tip potential.
The Vertigo Aramid 2026 is first and foremost a high-performance twin tip kite:
big jumps,
adjustable loops,
modern freestyle.
Its flight principle: to remain free, fast, unbraked, with solid central support. This is what makes it brilliant for tricks and big air, and very interesting for foiling and strapless freestyle.
In strapless surfing, it can be positioned anywhere in the wind window, turns quickly, and exits the window instantly when desired. Airton uses it precisely for this combination of support and responsiveness.
In summary: the twin tip 3 strut kite that can really do everything in the air, no matter what you have under your feet.

The Vertigo has plenty of power and really moves well. A technical rider will easily exploit the low end. And with its direct 7-point bridle without pulleys and its open tips, you benefit from a really significant and enjoyable high end for a 3-strut kite.
Choose your kite by following our recommendations below. Wind ranges always depend on your weight, skill level, and the board under your feet!

The length of your bar will directly impact the overall feel of your kite. Remember that the longer your bar, the easier it will be to turn your kite. This is especially important when using larger kites, particularly in very light winds, to maintain good responsiveness. The increased leverage compensates for this natural loss of responsiveness.
Keep in mind that, conversely, the smaller the kite, the faster it will turn! Therefore, using a smaller bar allows you to balance the kite's behavior and make it more responsive. You must take these parameters into account when choosing your bar size and adapt your riding style to your preferred feel and the conditions you encounter.
If we are looking for smooth and progressive steering, we must "undersize" the size of our bar.
If you prefer fast and responsive steering, you should choose a larger bar.
The key size is the 52cm bar. This is the most versatile bar and the one to choose if you only want one bar for a 7-9-12, 8-11, or 8-10-13 quiver.
When you have an extensive kite quiver, it's essential to also have a quiver of bars to maintain a balanced feel when switching from a small kite to a larger one. Also note that having two bars reduces wear and tear on the parts by half!
Here are our recommendations:
The recommendations above are based on the behavior of GONG kites. Since our bars are compatible with a wide range of kites, you can adapt your choice according to the type of kite you use.
Your FeelX bar comes standard with 80cm pre-lines, 19m of lines and 3m extensions already mounted.
The original setup is the most versatile and will be your best choice for 90% of your sessions.
By playing with its lengths, or even modifying them with our extensions (sold separately), you boost its versatility even more!
22m lines:
The "standard" bar length allows for a more progressive and predictable feel (recommended setting for progressing kiters). Your wind window will be larger, thus providing more power at takeoff. This is the preferred setting for low and mid-range conditions, and for everyday freeride use.
19m lines:
Shorter lines offer a more direct kite response, increasing its responsiveness. The wind window will be shorter. This is the perfect setup for advanced kiters, ideal for wave riding or foiling, for added agility.
If you choose to sail with short lines, you will also gain comfort in high range.
Note that 22m and 19m are not extreme line lengths and remain a fine adjustment to your piloting feel.

Equipments
Your kite is ready to sail (excluding bar and pump).
A sturdy and efficient backpack: U-shaped zipper for easy storage, ventilation grid, padding, compression straps, bar pocket, pump straps...
