Dry Keel Fins Set - ST Box
Program
A modern, maneuverable keel fin designed to retain the drive of a classic keel while adding more responsiveness and freedom.
Presentation
The Dry represents the modern evolution of the classic keel. It has been designed to preserve the core feel of a fish fin setup, natural speed, continuous drive and smooth glide, while delivering a more lively and responsive feel under the back foot. Where traditional keels can feel very directional and less reactive, the Dry introduces a more dynamic sensation without sacrificing the characteristic drive of this fin category.
Its template is straighter than a traditional keel, bringing its behavior closer to an upright twin. The base remains wide to maintain speed and projection, while the center area has been intentionally reduced. This design helps free up the board through rail to rail transitions and makes turns quicker and easier to initiate. The result is a fin that still excels at connecting sections while offering increased responsiveness through direction changes. A modern, playful keel.
Template
Template of a modern keel close to an upright twin. The rake is moderate and straighter than a classic keel, which enhances pivot and maneuverability. It allows tighter turns while maintaining good projection.

Base
The base remains wide, ensuring a strong level of drive and excellent ability to maintain speed along the line. It preserves the DNA of traditional keels.

Depth

Surface area
The surface is reduced at the center of the fin, which reduces drag and improves maneuverability. The tips remain present enough to maintain control.

Setup
The twin keel setup is a configuration oriented toward natural speed, projection and stability. Thanks to their long base and large surface area, keels generate continuous drive that allows the board to accelerate effortlessly and maintain speed along the line.
The feeling is smooth and grounded: the board holds its line, glides naturally and favors long drawn out turns rather than quick direction changes. Surfing is built through continuity, with a consistent line that supports every turn.
This is an ideal setup for drawing lines, maintaining speed and using the full length of the wave, with a style focused on flow, glide and wide open turns.

Buying guide
Who is it for?
The Dry is designed for surfers who want a modern fish that is more manoeuvrable and more playful. It suits intermediate to advanced riders. It is ideal for those who like to turn quickly and keep strong responsiveness under the back foot. With maximum freedom without sacrificing drive, it preserves the natural speed of a twin while delivering a more playful and modern feel. It is the perfect compromise between a keel fin and an upright twin.
What is it for?
The Dry is ideal for modern fish and performance twins that want to move away from the overly “locked-in” feel of classic keels. It works particularly well in beach breaks and small to medium waves where manoeuvrability is essential.
It allows you to keep speed while turning tighter. This is a fin designed for dynamic and accessible surfing.
What size?

The choice of keel size depends on several factors that work together:
- the surfer’s weight
- the tail width
- the overall volume of the board
- the type of waves surfed
A heavier or more powerful surfer will benefit from a larger surface area to maintain control and projection. Conversely, a lighter surfer can slightly reduce the surface area to gain manoeuvrability and freedom under the back foot.
The tail width is also a key factor. Fish boards often have wide tails that generate a lot of lift and natural speed. To stabilise this tail and fully harness that speed, larger keels generally work better. On a narrower fish or hybrid board, a slightly smaller keel will help maintain manoeuvrability.
The overall volume of the board also influences the choice. A voluminous or wide board will require more surface area to remain stable at speed. A more compact or lower-volume board can work with slightly smaller fins.
Finally, surf conditions also guide sizing. In small or weak waves, a larger surface area helps maintain speed and projection. In faster or more hollow waves, a slightly smaller keel can improve manoeuvrability and control through transitions.
In practice, it is about finding the balance between drive, stability and manoeuvrability, depending on the board and the desired surfing style. A large keel favours long lines and natural speed, while a slightly more compact keel delivers a looser and more responsive board.
Equipments
The set consists of two side fins (right and left).
