Overview

The Lethal is 2000% surf.

Finesse, glide, manoeuvrability: everything is designed for high-performance wave riding, with a board that accelerates easily before take-off, then knows how to completely disappear as soon as you start surfing.

Its longer, sleeker, narrower shape creates very natural glide that blurs the line between riding on the water and flying. You can hit the whitewater, land a big air or lay into a carve while keeping speed even if the board reconnects with the water. Touching down no longer necessarily breaks your line: it becomes part of the surf.

This glide also lets you ride with less power. You take off early, can size down your wing or foil, and enjoy a lighter, faster and much more fluid session.

The deeper recessed deck brings your feet even closer to the foil. The board feels thinner underfoot and transmits pressure changes directly. Volume is distributed around the rider to keep the support needed for take-off and landings, without unnecessarily loading the tips.

In surf, its very fine nose and especially clean tail let you commit to carves with very little interference. The Lethal moves quickly from rail to rail, holds speed through long carves and stays ready to link turns, re-entries and airs whenever a section opens up.

Its round pin tail is at the heart of that feeling. It frees up the tail when the board is put on rail and lets you push hard through your turns without feeling the board hold back the line. It is exactly what you want when the wave starts to accelerate and every fraction of a second counts.

The Hollow Full Carbon construction takes that feeling of freedom even further. With very little inertia underfoot, the Lethal responds instantly, follows the foil through direction changes and becomes almost transparent between the rider and the wave.

Born from top-level development with our Team, the Lethal still stays true to one very simple idea: glide to take off, then disappear under your feet so the foil and rider can draw the wave.

A magical board in surf, quick to take off and incredibly free in flight, this is the board for those who live for carves and full-send airs.

OUTLINE

The long, sleek and particularly narrow outline maximises glide before take-off while significantly reducing swing weight through carves. The Lethal accelerates easily and leaves plenty of freedom when pushing hard through turns in surf.

Its highly refined ends, especially around the nose area, make direction changes fast and precise. The board responds instantly to foot pressure, from long carving turns to the tightest top turns.

ROCKER

The very flat rocker through the rear third delivers clean, planing glide to reach take-off speed quickly. The Lethal moves easily across the water and lets you make the most of smaller foils without making take-off more technical.

The more lifted nose gives you the margin you need when the face gets steeper. The board can attack the wave, punch through whitewater or reconnect with the water without the nose burying abruptly.

HULL

The hull is flat and planing through the rear third to maximise speed and lift before take-off. This surface releases the water efficiently and helps the Lethal lift off early, even with a smaller foil.

Up front, the double concave channels the water during contacts and greatly softens touchdowns. A slightly more supportive surface also reinforces nose support to maintain more speed when the board comes back down onto the water.

TAIL

The very clean round pin tail keeps the surface area behind the back foot to an absolute minimum. The board can be put on a lot of rail without the tail dragging through the line, with real freedom in committed carves.

The volume is more concentrated around the stance to provide support for pumping, take-off and landings, then tapers away quickly towards the pin. You gain support without losing the refined feel that gives the Lethal its surf character.

RAILS

The rails are straight and sharp in the tail to deliver a very clean release. The water leaves the hull quickly, which improves glide before take-off and helps the board regain speed after a touchdown or landing.

They gradually become softer as you move towards the nose. This lets the Lethal surf very close to the water, touch down in a carve or on a landing, and keep tracking without getting hit by a sudden brake effect.

NOSE

The pointy nose reduces bulk in front of your feet and directly contributes to the Lethal's precision through changes of direction.

The bulb's maximum volume is brought closer to the rider to place more support where it becomes useful during a nose dive or landing. Combined with the double concave and soft rails, it helps the board bounce off the water and quickly regain flight.

Recessed deck

The recessed deck brings your feet closer to the foil for greater connection, precision and control. This lower position improves the transfer of rider input whether riding strapped or strapless, while maintaining enough freedom to adjust your stance. The rider feels more locked in, closer to the foil and benefits from a more direct feel through every maneuver.

Volume distributed from nose to tail

The lowered deck is combined with added volume at the front and rear to maintain support around the rider. The maximum nose volume is positioned closer to the stance to provide better support during take-off, acceleration and water contact. At the rear, the volume follows the same principle, creating a natural continuity in the shape from nose to tail.

Drain Plug

The drain plug has been specially designed to make operation safer and easier. Its shape allows it to lock directly into the board to ensure a watertight seal while riding, with a 90° twist-lock closure. When opening, the system passes through an intermediate position before fully releasing the plug. This maximizes airflow between sessions and also allows any water to drain out in the event of infiltration before repair.

Pro Team Series Graphic Signature

The Pro Team Series range shares a more radical visual identity directly reflecting its performance focus. The textured Frozen White finish adds depth and dimension to the surface, with an almost crystallized effect that changes depending on the light.

This light base is contrasted by bolder black areas and colored accents, reinforcing the technical, racing character of the range. The graphics highlight the lines of the shape without hiding them, giving all three Pro Team models an instantly recognizable visual signature.

Footstrap Inserts

The new footstrap inserts improve both adjustability and support. At the rear, the two-screw mounting system offers 5 positions for precise foot placement while limiting strap rotation under heavy loads. At the front, 3 positions allow you to fine-tune your stance, with double side inserts positioned diagonally to improve stability and keep the strap perfectly in place during the most committed riding.

Luxe Footstraps

The new boards come equipped with a set of V-shaped Luxe Footstraps, chosen by our Team for their comfort and precision. Adjustable with Velcro, they provide fine, tool-free adjustment, both on land and while riding, allowing you to quickly adapt the fit to your foot and riding style.

Each footstrap combines:

An adjustable internal structure with semi-rigid reinforcement to provide effective support around the arch of the foot.
A lined neoprene cover for lasting comfort and softness during long sessions.

Their three-hole baseplate allows for one- or two-screw mounting. Combined with the double inserts, the two-screw setup provides a more secure fit and limits strap rotation under heavy loads, keeping your footing more stable and precise during committed maneuvers.

Griptoe Traction Pad

Inspired by the best windsurfing board pads, the Griptoe Traction Pad delivers a real boost in control and comfort when your riding gets more committed.

When surfing, getting airborne or landing, being able to rely on powerful, consistent grip is essential. Its traction keeps your footing secure through fast turns, re-entries and jumps, allowing you to push hard while maintaining perfectly controlled contact with the board.

Thanks to its firm and precise feel, the Griptoe Traction Pad provides solid footing and transfers every input directly to the foil.

The pad is also bonded directly to the board’s epoxy surface. This creates an extremely reliable bond between the pad and the board, significantly reducing the risk of delamination over time and keeping your footing secure for the long term. The result: a grip that stays perfectly in place, total confidence underfoot and significantly improved durability.

The result: greater precision, more confidence and a direct connection that lets you fully commit with the Lethal in the waves.

No integrated handle

On the Pro Team models, the integrated carry handle has been removed to create a cleaner bottom and an even more streamlined construction. By eliminating this opening underneath the board, the surface in contact with the water is more continuous, with less disruption to the water flow during gliding, touchdowns and landings.

This choice also removes an additional component and its associated weight, following a simple principle: less weight, less disruption, more performance. Every detail contributes to making the board more efficient before take-off and more transparent underfoot once in flight.

Who is it for?

The Lethal is aimed at advanced to expert riders who put waveriding at the heart of their riding.

It is a board that is technically and physically demanding. Its thin, narrow shape with very pulled-in tips requires solid reference points on your knees and a strong command of foiling to fully benefit from what it offers once flying.

This is clearly a Pro Model, designed for those who are primarily looking for precision, responsiveness and freedom in the waves. The lower the volume you choose, the more the board disappears under your feet, but the more precision it demands in the phases before take-off.

Whether in wing or lowkite, the Lethal is for riders who want to commit to their carves, make the most of every section and add airs to their surf without the board ever limiting the foil.

The Lethal is a pure waveriding board:

Carving: its compact size lets you bank hard and link rail-to-rail transitions quickly.

The Lethal is a highly specialised board. So the foil choice needs to stay consistent with its programme: speed, carving, responsiveness and the ability to switch quickly from carves to airs.

The Fluid V3 ATMO: the manoeuvrability and speed combo.
This is the most versatile choice for getting the most out of the Lethal in surf. The Fluid turns tight, accelerates easily and keeps enough glide to build speed between sections. Its lively yet predictable feel lets you load up your carves, switch quickly from one rail to the other and fully benefit from the board’s compact size.

The Ypra Surf-Freestyle V3 ATMO: the mix of committed surf and airs.
This is the choice when you want to push the Lethal’s surf freestyle character even further. It prioritises pop, repop, acceleration and quick footwork changes. Very dynamic in the waves, it lets you link a carve, a speed build-up and an air with very little downtime.

In short: Fluid to prioritise surf and versatility, Ypra Surf-Freestyle to push airs and surf freestyle further.

Which stab / tail wing?

On the Lethal, the tail wing needs to bring just enough control to go hard, while still leaving the foil free enough to tighten up carves and accelerate quickly.

The V3 ATMO system does exactly that, making it easy to tune the rear end of the foil depending on the type of waves or the style you are after.

The Fluid: for fast, fluid surf.
It brings a very good balance of support, manoeuvrability and speed. The foil stays predictable when you push hard through carves, while keeping enough freedom to change direction quickly. It is the natural pairing with a Fluid and an excellent choice for versatile waveriding.

The Surf-Freestyle: for more freedom and pop.
It frees up the foil more through foot pressure changes and lets you tighten your carves. Its more dynamic behaviour also helps with take-offs, speed build-up and repop. Paired with the Ypra Surf-Freestyle, it creates the most consistent setup for linking committed carves and airs in the wave.

The Tail Shaft then lets you fine-tune the feel:

Short: more direct and manoeuvrable for tight turns and a very lively foil in the waves.
Medium: more balance between control, speed and freedom for more versatile surf.

Tail wing size is another key tuning lever:

Larger: more support and stability to push hard with a more locked-in foil.
Smaller: more freedom, liveliness and ease when switching quickly from one foot pressure point to the other.

On the Lethal, the goal is to keep enough support to attack the wave, without ever restricting the foil’s mobility. Fluid for fast, controlled surf, Surf-Freestyle to free up carves and airs even more.

Which bag?

Equipments

These boards are equipped with 2 GONG US Box Double Entry tracks compatible with standard 4-bolt plate foils and the SCS system with 9 cm spacing, Luxe footstraps with multi-position anti-twist inserts, a Griptoe Traction Pad, an integrated carry handle, a leash plug, an automatic pressure relief screw and a drain valve.

The Double Entry system allows very fast installation of GONG foils while remaining compatible with standard square-nut setups. The SCS is not supplied with the board.

Why does the Lethal disappear so completely in carves?

Its narrow outline, fine nose and above all its very pulled-in round pin tail greatly reduce the surface likely to touch the water when the board is put on rail. It follows the foil without interfering with the line.

That’s what creates that very distinctive feeling of being able to push your carves hard without feeling the board hold the foil back.

Why does a surf board need so much glide before take-off?

Because good glide lets you get going with less energy, but above all use smaller foils and wings, which are better suited to fast, manoeuvrable surfing.

It also helps you maintain speed when a carve, a re-entry or a landing momentarily brings the board back into contact with the water.

Can touchdowns really be used as part of the surf?

Yes. On the Lethal, the hull, the forward double concave and the softened rails let you reconnect with the water without taking an immediate heavy hit in speed.

This means you can set the board down momentarily in a section, whitewater or on a landing, then keep your line and get back up on foil. It’s particularly interesting when you start pushing your angles and re-entries harder.

Why is the round pin tail particularly well suited to wave riding?

The round pin keeps very little width behind the back foot. It therefore limits unwanted contact when the board is heavily banked over and helps maintain a very clean line through carves.

It also delivers a smooth transition when you move quickly from one rail to the other. Less tail to move means more freedom for the foil.

What is the benefit of the deeply recessed deck in surf?

The recessed deck brings your feet closer to the foil. Your input is transferred more directly into the mast, making every pressure change easier to feel.

In a wave, where you're constantly linking accelerations, angle changes and speed build-up, this proximity delivers more precise, far more natural control.

Why does the nose stay buoyant even though the Lethal is designed to be very thin?

Because refinement and support should not be at odds. The pointed nose keeps the overall length in check, while the volume is concentrated closer to the rider, where it becomes genuinely useful when the front end reconnects with the water.

The result is a low-profile nose in flight, yet with enough lift when you need it.

What does Hollow Full Carbon bring to surf riding?

Mainly less inertia. In a carve, a change of pressure or an air, the board has to follow the rider's and foil's movements immediately.

The Hollow Full Carbon construction makes the Lethal feel lighter, livelier and more transparent underfoot, which directly matches its waveriding programme.

Why use the Griptoe Traction Pad on the Lethal?

Because in committed wave riding, foot pressure changes fast and can become very powerful. The Griptoe Traction Pad delivers solid grip that keeps your foot exactly where the rider expects it in a carve, a re-entry or a landing.

Its direct contact with the board also helps maintain a high level of precision without isolating the rider from the foil’s feel.
