Presentation

The Ypra Surf Fast V3 Atmo Pro Team Series is the carbon front wing dedicated to high-performance surf foiling, committed waveriding in wing foiling, and fast, powerful, or very hollow waves.

It is designed to handle full-speed bottom turns without flinching, carve tight and be radical, and remain perfectly controllable in the worst situations.

It is positioned in the Ypra range as the fast, stable, and neutral surf front wing. The Ypra Surf Carve is more lifty, more powerful, and more suited to less perfect waves. The Ypra Surf Fast allows you to go full speed without being overwhelmed.

Its 8.0 ratio offers an excellent balance between maneuverability, decent glide, speed, and stability. The wing remains compact for tight turns but retains enough glide to exploit long trajectories and maintain high speed in fast sections.

Its very curved leading edge and very swept-back tips facilitate entry into the carve and position the wing in the trajectory. Even at full speed, the foil remains healthy, predictable, and stable in committed bottoms.

The very fast profile handles the high speeds of powerful waves. Less buoyant and less nose-up than a Surf Carve, it limits excessive front foot pressure and prevents being lifted or taken off the line when speed gets out of control.

The high anhedral provides strong grip, incisive carving, and progressive rail-to-rail transitions. The wing holds its edge without unwanted drifting and allows for confident, tight carving turns.

In surf foiling, tow-in, and committed wing waveriding, the Surf Fast allows you to charge hard, stay in control of the foil, and attack fast sections without hesitation. A very fast, stable, and precise Ypra Surf for conditions where the waves really push.

Ratio of 8.0

The Ypra Surf Fast adopts a ratio of 8.0 to mix maneuverability, decent glide, speed, stability, and control in committed surf lines.

This ratio keeps the wing compact enough for tight turns while providing the performance needed to hold long, fast lines. You maintain speed between sections without dealing with an overly elongated wing that would constantly tip out.

The Surf Fast is designed to harness the wave's power, not to compensate for a weak wave. It remains stable when everything speeds up and allows you to maintain a solid line at high speed.

Performance surfing outline

The relatively compact outline of the Surf Fast allows for tight turns, committed carves, full-speed bottom turns without breaching, and powerful lines in fast waves.

The shape of the tips is inspired by high-performance surf fin templates. This inspiration results in a wing that naturally fits into carves, with true stability in the supports.

The highly curved leading edge facilitates entry into the turn, even at high speed. The wing remains fluid in the carve, yet solid once loaded.

Very swept-back tips

The very swept-back tips increase longitudinal stability and settle the wing in the carve. The foil maintains a stable pitch in committed bottom turns, hollow sections, and fast lines.

This placement reduces unwanted reactions when pressure increases. The rider can push hard, engage the carve, and stay focused on their line.

The swept-back tips also contribute to the highly controllable feeling of the Surf Fast: a fast wing that doesn't try to pull the rider off their trajectory.

Very fast profile

The profile of the Ypra Surf Fast is very fast. It handles the high speeds of powerful waves, maintains glide between sections, and keeps excellent stability in full-speed trajectories.

Less lift and less nose up than a Surf Carve, it limits excessive front foot pressure. The rider maintains control in fast descents, strong bottom turns, and powerful accelerations.

It remains forgiving of stalling to allow room for weight shifts, hollow sections, turbulence, and heavily loaded carving turns.

Significant anhedral

The high anhedral generates strong grip, powerful carving, and quick, tight turns. The wing holds its line in committed carves.

This geometry stabilises the wing during pressure and instills confidence when the wave pushes hard. The rider can charge without fearing unwanted sliding.

The rail to rail transition remains smooth, never abrupt. The Surf Fast maintains precise control at high speed, with real security in weight shifts.

SuperLock Self-Locking System

The V3 SuperLock self-locking connection has been engineered to ensure a perfect fit between the front wing and the fuselage, even after countless hours on the water. The greater the load applied to the front wing, the more securely the connection mechanically locks itself into the fuselage.

This design delivers a direct improvement in stiffness, precision, and silent operation. The foil remains perfectly secure, with no unwanted play, even under heavy loads during carving, pumping, acceleration, powerful turns, or hard landings. Rider input is transmitted more efficiently, steering becomes more precise, and the feeling underfoot remains consistent.

The connection requires only two screws beneath the front wing. Assembly is faster, simpler, and more user-friendly for everyday use. Wings can be swapped in just moments without multiplying screws or complicating the setup.

The locking angle has been carefully engineered to combine maximum engagement under load with effortless disassembly after the session. Even after an intense ride, the front wing can be removed from the fuselage easily.

This self-locking concept has already proven itself over several years across our V3 foil platform. It is a genuine mechanical advantage: simple, fast, rigid, reliable, and built to last.

Pro Team Series High-Modulus Carbon

The V3 Atmo Team Series front wings feature a premium carbon construction with a 3K Texalium Purple Clear carbon finish that showcases the wing's structure. Compared to fiberglass construction, this technology delivers greater stiffness, faster response, and higher precision, while maintaining outstanding durability.

The TORAY M40J high-modulus carbon fiber used in our layups offers exceptional mechanical properties, particularly in terms of Young's modulus and tensile strength. Combined with intermediate-modulus fibers and carefully engineered layup schedules, it reinforces the structure exactly where the wing needs it most: bending, torsion, connection points, carving loads, pumping, acceleration, and repeated high-load stress.

This increased stiffness has a direct impact on the ride. Inputs are transmitted more immediately, the foil responds with greater precision, and less energy is lost through structural flex. Every pump becomes more efficient. Every carve feels more connected. At high speeds, the foil remains more stable, delivering a cleaner, more controlled feel.

In surf foiling, it excels in solid, clean, hollow, or long waves. It allows you to push hard without being overwhelmed by the foil, with very reassuring stability at high speed.

In tow-in, it is particularly coherent as soon as you arrive with a lot of speed or when the wave is substantial. Its high-speed control becomes a major advantage. You can wipe out at full speed and drop in really fast.

In wing waveriding or freefly in the waves, it provides a fast, stable, and controllable foil. The rider can release the traction to surf substantial waves with the necessary speed or keep the wing to accelerate full send towards a section, the lip, a carve, or an engaged air.

What size?

The choice of size depends on weight, level, support, wave speed, power, and desired style.

Choosing a larger size provides more lift and comfort if the waves are less fast, if the rider is heavier, or if you want to keep a bit more margin in transitions.
