Koral Trailer Fin - ST Box
Program
A small, pivot-oriented and discreet trailer designed to add maneuverability and light control without breaking the natural glide of a twin.
Overview
The Koral is the most discreet trailer in the range. Its goal is simple: provide a light anchoring point without altering the loose behavior of a twin. Unlike larger trailers such as the Tide or Mist, the Koral acts as a fine-tuning adjustment, preserving as much of the twin’s free-flowing character as possible.
Its relatively wide base for its size adds just enough stability to secure engagement without weighing down the setup. The cut tip and reduced surface area maintain excellent glide and quick release off the tail. The result is dynamic, playful, and very fluid surfing. The Koral does not lock the board in, it simply refines control and clarity in maneuvers.
Template
Compact pivot-oriented template. The rake is low, with a very upright outline. This favors pivot and enables tight turns and fast redirections.

Base
The base is relatively wide for its size. It provides enough support to stabilize the tail without locking the board.

Depth

Surface area
The surface is intentionally limited to preserve the twin fin’s character. It tapers quickly into a cutaway tip that enhances glide and release.

Setup
The twin + trailer setup is a hybrid configuration that combines the speed and glide of a twin fin with an added layer of control. The addition of a center trailer stabilizes the tail and channels water flow without overly weighing down the board.
The feeling remains loose and fast, but more structured: the trailer reduces slide-outs, improves hold through turns and makes trajectories more predictable, especially at high speed or in critical sections. The board retains its freedom while gaining precision and stability.
This is an ideal setup for adapting a twin to more demanding conditions, striking a balance between glide, control and safety in maneuvers.

Buying guide
For whom?
This fin has the smallest surface area in the range, so it remains very subtle in the overall board feel and allows for fine tuning of the setup. The Koral is aimed at surfers who want to keep their twin very loose and playful, as well as those looking to push their twin toward a more technical surf while maintaining maximum freedom.
It suits all levels. It is ideal for surfers riding small to medium-sized waves who want a bit more precision without losing glide.
What for?
The Koral works particularly well on modern twins, fish shapes, or small-wave-oriented boards.
In small to medium waves, it allows you to gain precision and radicality without sacrificing the natural speed of a twin fin.
It is especially suited to fast, playful boards where the goal is to add precision and maneuverability while keeping the loose twin feel. A light and fun option.
What size?
The choice of trailer size depends on the desired level of control.
- A small trailer (2” to 3”) remains subtle. It slightly stabilizes the board without affecting its looseness.
- A medium trailer (3” to 4”) offers a good balance between control and glide.
- A larger trailer (4” and above) significantly changes the behavior by increasing hold and stability.
The larger the trailer, the more stable and directional the board becomes. The smaller it is, the freer and faster the board feels.
Equipments
