With its extreme stiffness and perfectly controlled power, the Pulse Race Aramid CZ 2026 delivers exceptionally clean glide, remaining stable even in the harshest gusts and giving you absolute control from the start all the way to the finish line.
It is the wing of choice for riders who want to dominate the race, go faster and farther, and push their limits with total confidence.
Presentation
Absolute, razor‑sharp, uncompromising: the Pulse Race Aramid CZ 2026 is redefining wingfoil racing.
Direct heir to the wing that revolutionized the Racefoil world with the invention of the Double Profile, it keeps that performance DNA while making a monumental leap forward. It delivers more liveliness at high speed, more usable power, but above all finer control and next‑level stability.
The 2026 version marks a major turning point: every angle, seam and section has been redesigned to optimize stiffness, speed and precision. The new strut with no taper forms a rigid block with zero unwanted flutter for perfect stability in gusts. Moving from three to four struts locks the profile in place as if on rails, even under full load. The segmented double canopy provides surgical tension management and an exceptionally clean airflow.
The larger‑diameter leading edge massively reinforces the structure: it holds more pressure, deforms less and absorbs the most brutal accelerations. New windows offer a wider field of view for better reading of the water and increased safety. The zippered valve access makes inflation and deflation easier, and the new trailing‑edge outline recenters the power for instant re‑acceleration.
Double reinforcements on six sections of the leading edge and two on the center strut let you pump harder, boost stiffness even further and guarantee maximum lifespan, even under heavy stress.
The Double Profile remains the Pulse’s ultimate weapon. Its closed intrados reduces drag and stabilizes the wing at high speed. It naturally locks into the airflow, delivering constant pull and smooth glide whatever the angle of attack.
The Aramid frame combined with Code Zero canopy fabric ensures the perfect blend of lightness, rigidity and precision. The shape stays locked even under extreme pressure, with instant power and ultra‑direct response.
The aft‑shifted profile promotes glide and upwind performance, while the reinforced center section brings even stiffness across the entire wing. The full battens system, combining structural, tip and anti‑vibration battens, guarantees flawless precision and outstanding riding comfort. The V2 boom with EVA bumpers improves grip, protects the board and lightens the overall feel. The freefly handle disappears to reduce drag, and the leash loop moved onto the center strut maximizes aerodynamic glide.
In racing, freerace or light wind, the Pulse Race Aramid CZ 2026 stands out from the pack. It squeezes every ounce of energy from the wind, accelerates immediately and stays locked in with exemplary stability. Its low‑end efficiency rivals the lightest wings while keeping power fully under control and always on tap.
The Pulse Race Aramid CZ 2026 is not a simple update; it is a complete overhaul of GONG’s speed philosophy. Stiffer, sleeker, faster: the very definition of pure performance.
DOUBLE PROFILE: A GONG INNOVATION
Careful consideration was essential to transform a widely shared concept into reality. This is where the true innovation comes into play:
- Calibrate the length of the double profile to refine glide while maintaining take-off efficiency.
- Explore every practical application to develop a series-ready product that feels extremely easy to handle.
- Fine-tuning the tension of this internal double skin to maximize performance without affecting the aerodynamics of extrados. Sounds simple, but it’s far from it!
- Discovering a smart way to empty water from the double skin during falls, avoiding any convoluted mechanisms.
In every aspect—shape design, material innovation, and manufacturing—GONG offers solutions that feel nothing short of revolutionary.
Let’s be honest: if you were ever passionate about windsurf slalom, you’ve probably felt like something was missing in wingfoiling. That sensation of being perfectly harnessed into a rig that drives continuously and glides infinitely. Effortless acceleration, whenever you want it.
The Pulse Race Aramid CZ constantly provides maximum power for increased speed.
This wing locks perfectly into the wind and harnesses the apparent wind. At takeoff, it feels standard, but once you’re locked in and accelerating, you’ll be blown away by its incredibly stable performance and its almost limitless acceleration.
Smaller foils can be used to glide even faster. You can also downsize your wing, though it’s not necessary.
Its performance in the wind is incredibly smooth yet powerful. It requires a bit of adjustment, but after a few runs, it becomes completely addictive. You’ll never feel this level of comfort at 30 knots, this ease when pointing upwind, or the unstoppable glide when bearing off. In a way, it’s like discovering Wing racing for the first time.
Increasing volume of the intrados reduces power when starting, but amplifies it as you pick up speed. So, it pulls a bit less at takeoff, but the traction increases progressively. Yet, this immense traction is totally locked in. Nothing moves. In fact, you get more lift, which allows you to settle fully into the harness. Riding without a harness is limited to just a few hundred meters and will reduce your performance: this is a race wing!!!

In the bustle of the starting line, the Pulse Race Aramid CZ remains largely unaffected by the wakes of other wings. When you’re familiar with your depowering/powering up technique, you can fine-tune your glide and cut through the wake of others without cavitation. The jibes and tacks are pure racing: you dive in full throttle and own the power through the curve!

UPE ARAMID
Part of the secret of this Pulse lies in the revolutionary material of its inflatable structure.
GONG innovated with UPE Aramid on the Pulse DP in 2023, and this was just the beginning!
UPE Aramid is the lightest and stiffest material on the market. The sensations in hand are simply astonishing. The wing is both one of the stiffest and one of the lightest on the market, providing an entirely new sailing experience, all at an amazing price. It’s simply incredible and perfectly in line with our commitment to offering the best to as many people as possible.
At 85g/m2 (2 times less than Dacron!), this UPE Aramid present on the leading edge and the central batten ensures, in addition to a considerable weight savings (400g on a 5m2), an unparalleled gain in stiffness and reactivity. It’s simple: the wing no longer bends! We control its twisting through the Aramid axis and the design of the shape. Thus, deformations are no longer present.
In addition to its exceptional mechanical properties, this material also has a very low absorption rate. The wing gains very little weight when wet.
Obviously, a superb material without perfect assembly is worthless, and we have worked in infinite detail to ensure the reliability of the technical solutions for its implementation. For this, we have tested all known assemblies on traction machines and innovated with new and exclusive assembly methods at GONG to surpass the standards. Our wings have never been so robust.
Better than gold !!!
LEADING EDGE OUTLINE
The outline has been optimized to deliver more acceleration and power without sacrificing control. With a more centered surface area and refined tips, the design feels more compact and channels energy into the heart of the wing for maximum efficiency.
Pull is perfectly balanced in your hands, providing a smooth feel and outstanding efficiency at any speed and in any conditions. The wing accelerates decisively while remaining stable and easy to handle.
Reduced drag at the tips brings extra liveliness and precision. The ride becomes cleaner and more refined, with better ability to fine‑tune your line and avoid mistakes, especially through technical sections such as mark roundings.
PERFECT BALANCE OF GLIDE AND RIGIDITY
With the rigidity of Aramid, the Pulse Race is extremely stiff. The leading edge diameters have been optimized using this groundbreaking material, achieving a perfect balance of glide and rigidity.
The new 4+4 batten system enhances stability and provides the crucial sense of rigidity at high speeds. We are getting very close to what is used in windsurfing, and it's no coincidence because the increasing speeds require this rigidity. The central batten, a GONG innovation, ensures the profile stays perfectly in place. The two large battens add stiffness, and the six mini battens reduce vibrations to a minimum.
This configuration is the result of nearly a year of testing with our race team and our design and R&D team.
At 30 knots, there is no erratic behavior: you can focus on controlling the foil without constantly steering the wing.

Buying guide
For whom?
This wing is made for experienced wingers who seek precise, powerful control that consistently delivers more speed.
The Pulse Race Aramid CZ is technical, high-performing, and demanding; therefore, we do not recommend it for beginners or those still in the learning phase. A solid background in winging is required, which can be enhanced by extensive windsurfing race or slalom experience, as the handling is quite similar.
For what?
Speed is the name of the game, whether in a straight line or on a long up-and-down course.
This is not a wing for jumping, surfing, or doing maneuvers or casual tacks. It’s the first real Race wing!
Which size?
With the Pulse Race Aramid CZ, you constantly have power in the wing once you're flying and creating apparent wind, which it thrives on and converts into forward pull.
For slalom use, stick to your usual wing size to retain agility and control through tacks.
For racing with upwind and downwind legs, it's recommended to go one size bigger than a traditional wing.

Understanding the GONG range
- Plus: a versatile, accessible wing designed for progression.
- Droid: a surf/freestyle wing with explosive power. It's also a top choice for lightwind conditions.
- Neutra: the smooth wing for surf, freefly, and endless carves.
- Pulse: the ultimate racing wing with incredible upwind ability and speed.

Which material?
The choice of leading edge material depends mainly on your program and goals. If you prefer cruising in freeride, are just starting tricks, or enjoy surf and freefly, a Dacron leading edge and central strut will be ideal.
If, on the other hand, you love riding hard with a wing that pulls powerfully and will fly sky high, don’t hesitate! The UPE Aramid will provide absolute stiffness with undeniable advantages. The performance gap is significant—it goes faster, higher, and turns incredibly well thanks to its thinner diameters.
Finally, to push even further into the performance realm, combine the UPE Aramid structure with the ultra-rigid Code X canopy fabric. You’ll boost your performance by 15%, reaching the pinnacle of high-level wing performance.
As things move fast, our team requested that we create an even stiffer wing: the Aramid CZ technology is being launched this year with performance that is simply out of this world. More rigid, faster, and more powerful. This is for pro riders and highly skilled amateurs who are ready to be pushed to their limits.

Which quiver?
The Pulse Race Aramid CZ wing is a true race wing, ideally paired with a Racer board and the Cruzader or Cruzader Point for more versatility.
Naturally, it pairs best with a performance-oriented foil, featuring a mast of at least 100cm and race-specific foils that provide sufficient glide:
- Ypra Race foil
- Ypra Slalom foil
- And why not a Veloce H in the smaller sizes.
To complete the setup, you can (and should) add a SUP or a surf foil for no-wind days, a kite to get airborne and probably a quiver of surfboards for those perfect waves. But if you’re venturing into wing foiling, chances are you already have some of these toys in your garage.
What leash?
A wing leash from 5'5" to 8' is ideal. Preferably one designed specifically for winging, and of the coiled-type leash style. A short leash makes it easier to grab the wing quickly. A long leash keeps the wing further away from foil drops in the sail, giving it more space to move.
Always check its condition before each session and replace it every year. It’s your life vest.
Don’t let your wing flap around in the wind at the end of the leash, it’s not indestructible! Also, in the waves, don’t hold onto the wing with the leash, it will break or you may injure yourself.
Harness or not?
The Pulse Race Aramid CZ requires the use of a harness for performance reasons. It’s a wing that is designed to be ridden hooked in.
A range of harness lines specifically designed for winging are offered in several sizes.

Equipments
The Pulse Race Aramid CZ comes with 4 windows to ensure maximum comfort in difficult conditions, but also to accelerate safely during competition races. This was also a specific request from our team to go even faster in IWSA races.
No more loss of speed when lifting the wing to check what’s happening downwind: full speed mode.
The new 3+6 batten system enhances stability and provides the crucial sense of rigidity at high speeds.
Harness lines that can be fixed directly onto the boom and are fully compatible.

Our harness lines have been specially designed for this boom, allowing you to attach your GONG harness line and ride for hours without getting tired.
Inflation
The Pulse Race Aramid CZ enables separate inflation of the strut and leading edge. This allows you to fine-tune the pressure perfectly. Be careful, however, not to leave the strut fully inflated: this could damage the inner separation. You should therefore plan to inflate and deflate in 4 stages, and in this order:
- Inflate the leading edge to the pressure specified in the size guide.
- Inflate center strut to size guide pressure
- Deflate center strut
- Deflate leading edge
Note that maximum pressure depends on diameter: so you can inflate a 4m2 more than a 7m2 to get the same rigidity.

Fiberglass micro-battens
Micro fiberglass battens on the trailing edge: light and very effective in preventing flapping. They maintain the profile all the way to the trailing edge for optimal airflow.
Lightweight and strong, they are easily replaceable to keep your wing in top condition year after year.

Camera safety loops
To capture your wing sessions, we’ve added a discreet nylon leash attachment on each tip and near the strut to secure your camera mounted on the leading edge or strut with a Flymount, allowing you to ride without stress. The leash attachment is strategically placed so it doesn’t interfere with your camera’s field of view! You’ll be able to create stunning shots and share them without the risk of losing your camera!

Repair kit
A repair kit, including bladder patches and fabric, is included with your wing.
Carry bag
A durable and practical shoulder bag comes with your wing. It’s perfectly designed with a large U-shaped zipper for easy storage, a ventilation grid, comfortable padding, compression straps, and straps for the pump (not provided).

Don't forget to bring a pump!

What is the recommended inflation pressure?
The recommended pressure is shown in the table below:

Several factors should be taken into account:
- An underinflated wing will be unstable and hard to control in gusty winds.
- An overinflated wing increases the risk of bursting during a crash and will wear out the seams and materials faster.
- If you leave your wing inflated in the sun for long periods, we suggest slightly deflating it to prevent seam fatigue.
- The larger the leading edge diameter, the greater the risk of bursting. Avoid overinflating large wings.
What improvements does the Pulse DP offer over the previous Pulse model?
The 2026 version takes a radical turn and clearly becomes our most advanced race wing, built to go faster and farther with zero compromise on control. Every detail has been fine‑tuned under the microscope, test after test with sensor feedback, keeping only what really adds precious knots to your speed.
- New untapered strut: an ultra‑rigid block with zero unwanted flutter for a rock‑solid feel in the gusts.
- Switch from 3 to 4 struts: the profile stays locked in as if on rails, even under full load.
- Segmented double canopy: surgical tension management and ultra‑clean airflow so the wing flies straight with no aerodynamic noise.
- Increased leading‑edge diameter: a stiffer wing that deforms less and handles higher inflation pressure.
- New windows: better view of your spot and of other riders so you can fully commit without hesitation.
- Valve access zip: easier inflation and deflation so you save time every session.
- New trailing‑edge outline: power recentred for instant acceleration, especially when powering back up.
- Double reinforcements on 6 sections of the leading edge and 2 on the center strut: you can pump it harder, gain even more stiffness and push it without worrying about durability.
What are the advantages of a double-skin wing compared to a double-layer wing?
A double-skin wing, like the Pulse Race Aramid CZ, provides better airflow management, superior stability, and precise control at high speeds. Unlike a double-layer wing, it is designed to maximize aerodynamic performance while remaining lightweight.
Is water able to drain from the double skin?
Yes, water can flow in and out of the double skin thanks to a carefully designed system. This prevents the wing from being affected if it comes into contact with water, as long as you avoid submerging the wing in waves. In any case, it will easily drain water thanks to the evacuation systems.
Can I use the boom with other wings from the GONG range?
Yes, the V2 boom works with other wings in the GONG range, but make sure to check the specifications to ensure full compatibility with the specific model.
What’s the best way to fold and store the wing to prevent damage?
Deflate the wing completely, then roll it up carefully starting from the tips and moving towards the center. Store it in the provided bag. Be sure to avoid creating deep folds, particularly on the stitched areas.
Is it possible to store the wing deflated with the boom still mounted?
Yes, the premium bag included with the Pulse is designed to store the wing without having to remove the boom or the battens. This makes transportation easier and protects the equipment.
What are the dimensions of the bag?
The bag measures 200 cm x 25 cm (and 170 cm x 25 cm from 3,5sqm to 5sqm), offering ample space to store the wing along with the boom and battens attached.
Is the wing easy to repair in case of a tear or leak?
Yes, all wings from GONG are built to be repairable. The Code Zero fabric and TPU bladders are compatible with standard repair kits. For professional repairs, our sail workshop in France is at your service. All the required repair materials are available in our online shop.
How to maintain my wing equipment?
To extend the lifespan of your equipment, the way you use it and its regular maintenance will be crucial.
One important tip is to avoid leaving your wing inflated for long periods when not in use! The flapping of the fabric in the wind can lead to premature wear on the materials, as can prolonged exposure to UV rays.
Frequent rinsing of your wing with running water is also not recommended. The chlorine present in tap water can damage the surface treatments of your wing. Instead, it’s better to store your wing dry and remove any excess sand
In case of a punctured strut or leading edge, use your repair kit or consult our spare parts catalog to order the replacement part.
Systematically inspect the condition of your wing. Look for any holes or cuts and repair them before they worsen.
If your wing is damaged, you can get it repaired directly at the GONG workshop by reaching out to our sail loft: HERE.
