Overview

The Tide is a trailer designed to bring an ideal balance of control and maneuverability. Its balanced template allows it to adapt easily to a wide range of twin fins, whether modern upright twins or more drive-oriented shapes. It enhances the setup without altering its identity, adding just enough stability to commit more into the wave.

Its relatively large surface area and pronounced depth help structure the twin’s behavior. Where a pure twin can become unstable or difficult to control at high speed, the Tide provides a strong central anchor point that secures engagement and improves board readability. The result feels closer to a thruster, while still keeping the smoother glide and looser sensation of a twin.

Template

Balanced template compatible with most twins. The rake is moderate and well balanced, maintaining a good compromise between pivot and projection. It avoids overly directional behavior while adding line stability.

Base

The base is solid and well developed, creating an effective central pressure point under the back foot. It generates drive and improves energy transfer in turns.

Depth

The depth is pronounced, increasing grip and stability at high speed. It helps secure the twin fin in hollow or fast sections.

Surface area

What size?

The choice of trailer size depends on the desired level of control.

A small trailer (2” to 3”) remains subtle. It slightly stabilizes the board without affecting its looseness.
A medium trailer (3” to 4”) offers a good balance between control and glide.
A larger trailer (4” and above) significantly changes the behavior by increasing hold and stability.

The larger the trailer, the more stable and directional the board becomes. The smaller it is, the freer and faster the board feels.
