The simple and effective Lowkite bar, designed to let you fully enjoy your lowkite without any hassle. Compact and lightweight, it stays out of the way whether you’re stowing and surfing in the waves or doing a pure downwind run on offshore bumps.

Presentation

Simple, compact, and ultra-efficient, this bar is designed to disappear in stow & surf, whether in bumps or in the waves. Its 100% prepreg carbon construction delivers exceptional stiffness for maximum precision, with a featherlight weight that’s barely noticeable in your downwind bag.

The new 2026 grip, directly inspired by our wing booms, takes comfort and hold to the next level. Its finger contours secure your grip and reduce slipping, while the full-length coverage protects both your board and your hands during maneuvers, whether on land or on the water.

It’s up to you to choose the right length depending on your program: shorter for a bar that’s easy to pack away, longer for added maneuverability on the lowkite, keeping in mind the extra bulk once everything is folded for downwind.

Built to last, this bar is easy to maintain. Wear parts can be replaced quickly, and all spare parts are kept in stock for shipping within 72 hours.

All of this is complemented by a new neoprene sleeve system. It protects your hands from friction against the Dyneema pre-lines, offering a simple, clean, and highly comfortable solution.

Stow & Surf and downwind bar

This is our most minimalist bar, designed to let you fully enjoy your lowkite without ever getting in your way. Whether surfing or riding downwind bumps, it's so unobtrusive that it lets you focus entirely on the sensations and freedom of your ride.

High-quality molded EVA grip for maximum comfort

The EVA grip, with its 22mm oval profile and identical design to our wing booms, offers an excellent compromise between lightness, comfort and precision. The bar naturally fits into your hands for long sessions with maximum ease and control.

Compatibility

All our lowkite bars are compatible with our GONG lowkites. They are also compatible with parawings from other brands, provided the correct intermediate connection pigtails are used.

The compatibility chart helps you choose the size that best suits your lowkite size. The recommendation indicates the best compromise between maneuverability and bulk.

Key points to remember if you wish to make a different choice:

Short bar = reduced footprint and easy storage but less maneuverability
Long bar = more maneuverability and more bulk

Harness or no harness?

Riding without a harness is sexy because you feel free. You can move in all directions, it's really enjoyable.

However, you need to use less sail area and make short tacks to avoid straining your arms. This also means having to pump the sail frequently to relaunch.

All our lowkites are compatible with harness lines. You therefore have the option of using a harness or not.

So, if you prefer riding with a kite, using a harness is practically mandatory if you don't want to limit your sessions to an hour. In this case, setting up harness lines is super simple. We recommend using the least rigid and least restrictive harness possible, with either a minimalist hook or a windsurf-style hook for comfort.

Lines of 24 to 28 cm will be perfect. A length of 30 to 32 cm makes it easier to start. A thin diameter line and a thin sheath are essential because windsurf lines, for example, are too heavy and stiff, and therefore dangerous during tacks and other tricks.

So it's up to you to decide if feel and aesthetics take precedence over performance. But more and more riders are using harnesses.

The harness adds comfort and performance and is essential to fully enjoy your sessions, especially when you need to sail strongly upwind during upwind/downwind conditions.
