Easy outline

The 7.0 ratio of the X-Over stabilizer offers a very reassuring balance between lift at low speed, stability, and smooth glide. It provides enough support to facilitate the first flights without making the foil abrupt or difficult to control.

Its surface is distributed with a relatively constant chord between the center and the tips. This choice generates lift very early and limits excessive roll movements. The foil remains more stable from one rail to the other, which greatly helps in slow phases.

The goal is simple: give the rider time. The X-Over allows understanding of the supports, correcting without panic, and building solid foundations from the very first sessions.

Powerful profile

The X-Over profile provides the necessary lift for early take-off, but with a gradual and easy-to-manage ascent. The foil does not pitch violently - it takes off smoothly.

The lift at take-off is assertive, and stability is provided by a longer fuselage that calms the foil's movements with its greater leverage. The foil seems to rise flat, without the pitching effect that often confuses beginners. You pump, and it gently takes off.

This measured lift stabilizes the flight and gives a very readable feeling underfoot. The rider senses what is happening without experiencing overly sharp reactions.

This is exactly what you expect from a learning stabilizer: enough power to assist, enough smoothness to reassure, and enough tolerance to progress.

Pronounced anhedral

The pronounced anhedral improves yaw stability and roll control. The foil remains easier to keep in a straight line, more comfortable in carving turns, and more reassuring during the first manoeuvres.

This geometry helps the rider maintain a clean trajectory without having to constantly correct. The foil stays under control, even when the pressure points are not yet perfectly precise.

The absence of winglets also makes the stabilizer safer and more pleasant to handle for beginners. It limits aggressive tips without sacrificing the stable behaviour on the water.

Long connection

The extra-long shaft is the key element of the X-Over. It significantly increases the stabilizer's leverage, calms the foil's movements, and stabilizes the pitch.

This greater leverage makes takeoff more gradual, the flight smoother, and corrections easier. The foil gains height without abrupt reactions, giving the rider time to adjust.

SuperLock self-tightening system

The SuperLock self-tightening stab connection has been designed to guarantee perfect tightening even after hours long sessions.

The more pressure you put into the stab, the tighter it fits into the fuselage.

The pressure angle makes it very easy to disassemble the stab, even after long sessions.

This fitting only requires two screws under the stab, which makes changing the front wing easier and faster.

This tightening principle is already validated for several years on our V2 stabs.

A more efficient foil shape

One of the key elements in the evolution of this range is the complete redesign of our foils to increase their structural and hydrodynamic qualities.

The new round shape allows a 12% gain in glide and the thicker section approaching the stab increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.

Hours of calculations on extremely powerful computers have allowed us to optimize the smallest detail to maximize performance. The fillets of all our connections have been carefully studied and adjusted to minimize hydrodynamic disturbances and increase the rigidity and resistance of the assembly.

V3 Atmo, a new era

The V3 Atmo range marks a major leap forward in the design, manufacturing, and finishing of our foils. Reaching this new level of performance required far more than evolving the shapes. We rethought the entire process, from R&D to the finished product.

Every V3 Atmo shape is designed in 3D, digitally optimized, thoroughly tested by the GONG Team, and manufactured with an unprecedented level of precision. Profiles, thickness distribution, transitions, fillets, connection areas, and trailing edges have all been refined to reduce parasitic drag, improve water flow, and maximize efficiency.

Our new production facility enables manufacturing in an ultra-clean, highly controlled environment with a level of precision approaching that of the world's leading aerospace, motorsport, and high-performance composite industries. Optimized extraction of solvents and dust creates better working conditions while ensuring cleaner parts throughout every stage of production.

Tighter control over every step, from material handling, layup, machining, and molding to cooling and finishing, delivers an unprecedented level of accuracy, particularly on the trailing edges. This controlled refinement minimizes hydrodynamic disturbances, reduces noise, improves glide, and contributes to the overall performance gains of the V3 Atmo range.

In wing foiling: The X-Over will make your life easier during take-offs, teach you to stabilize your flight, go upwind, and lead you to successfully complete jibes, tacks, and your first jumps!
In surf foiling: The X-Over is perfect for a smooth and progressive take-off, good turns on the wave, and making your first connections with the following waves by pumping.
In dockstarting: The X-Over will be perfect for mastering your first starts and beginning to cover nice distances with leg power.
In SUP foiling: The X-Over takes off smoothly, without nosediving on the descent. You really feel confident. No need to paddle hard as it takes off at low speed. As soon as you paddle on the swell, you feel it come into action. Then it's super smooth in the carves.
In kite foiling: The small X-Over will be perfect for your first reaches in flight without going at Mach 12 and getting scared, and for learning in-flight transitions.

Note: this foil has real potential. It’s not just a beginner foil. It’s the foil that will accompany your progression.

What size?

General guidelines for choosing stabilizer sizes:

The ideal size will depend on your support, your level, your weight, the conditions of your spot, and also your front wing.

A larger stabilizer will facilitate take-off as the foil will generate a significant torque that tends to give it a high angle of attack. This also implies a more pronounced feedback under the front foot.

A smaller stabilizer will be more technical at take-off but will boost speed and maneuverability. You also lose support on the front foot, which means you need to move the foil forward in the boxes to regain that stability.

Always adjust the stabilizer size to the size of the front wing to achieve balanced flight and harmonious operation between these two components.

2 M6 x 25 mm screws for the V3 SuperLock connection.

Choose the X-Over if you want maximum stability, forgiveness, and smoothness. The Ascent will be more progressive and higher-performing, but a little less reassuring.

Is it suitable for wing foiling?

Yes, it's one of its best programs. It facilitates take-off, stabilises flight, helps with upwind riding, and supports the first manoeuvres.

Can it be used in surf foiling or SUP foiling?

When should you switch to a different stabilizer?

When you find the X-Over too tame, too stable or too slow in manoeuvres, switch to the Ascent to progress, or to the Curve if you want tighter turns.
