GONG SPACE CENTER: SAIL REPAIR SERVICE
Get your wings and kites back in shape with our specialist repair service based at the GONG Space Center.
We all know there are plenty of ways to damage your gear: a stab through your wing canopy? Getting caught in the shorebreak with slightly questionable timing? A jibe gone wrong? Fortunately, almost everything can be repaired.
At the GONG Space Center, our repair workshop includes a specialist sail repair service for your kites, wings and lowkites, from a simple bladder replacement to more technical repairs on a leading edge, strut or panel. Our goal: to get you back on the water as quickly as possible with reliable, durable gear.
A team with complementary skills
Our team brings together people who share the same passion for boardsports and the same commitment to quality workmanship.
Some members of our staff have extensive experience riding and repairing kites, sails and neoprene. Others come from the garment industry and have expert knowledge of sewing, assembly and finishing techniques. This combination of skills gives us an excellent understanding of every piece of equipment, how it is used and the stresses it faces on the water.
Every kite or wing is carefully inspected to establish an accurate diagnosis and recommend the most appropriate repair.

Unique expertise in our models and their materials
Repairing technical fabrics, particularly laminated fabrics, requires genuine expertise. Cutting, preparing, assembling and sewing them requires specific techniques to preserve the performance of the kite or wing and ensure a durable repair.
As a major player in the boardsports industry, GONG benefits from the experience gained through thousands of kites, wings and lowkites sold. This exceptional amount of equipment used in real-world conditions gives us in-depth knowledge of our models and allows us to quickly identify wear points, the specific stresses associated with each construction and even the most unusual issues.
This expertise also allows us to provide informed advice right from the quotation stage.

Original materials, true to your gear
For every repair, we use factory-quality materials identical or equivalent to those used to manufacture your kite or wing: fabrics, laminated fabrics, threads, reinforcements, Insignia adhesives and technical components.
Our sail repair workshop keeps a wide range of materials and colors in stock. This allows us to carry out strong, neat and discreet repairs while respecting the original construction and aesthetics.
A repair carried out by our services also ensures the continuity of your equipment's warranty, in accordance with its warranty terms and conditions.

A workshop equipped for reliable repairs
Our sail repair workshop is equipped with professional machines suited to the different constructions and material thicknesses found in kites and wings. After repair, wings and the relevant inflatable components can be pressure tested to check for leaks and validate the quality of the repair before being returned.
Every step matters: diagnosis, material selection, preparation, sewing, bonding, reassembly and final inspection.

Repair rather than replace
Repairing a kite or wing means extending its lifespan, reducing waste and preserving the resources required to manufacture a new product. This approach is fully aligned with our commitment to developing more sustainable solutions.
We process all requests as quickly as possible and put all our expertise behind one simple principle: doing everything we can to repair rather than replace.
Our workshop also offers a wide range of used kites and wings previously ridden by our staff or team riders. General inspection, repair of any damage, checks of seams, valves and bladders, followed by a pressure test: every item is prepared to get back on the water in the best possible condition. Be quick, though, these great deals don't stay available for long. This section is updated very regularly!

Repair pricing
The prices shown below provide a standard pricing basis for preparing your quotation.
To receive an initial estimate, send us detailed photos of your kite or wing and the damage, ideally taken from several angles, via our contact form. Our team will review your request and provide a quotation based on this pricing structure.
This quotation will be confirmed once your kite or wing has been received and inspected in our workshop. This step allows us to check that the requested repair accurately reflects the actual condition of the equipment. Some damage, weak points or signs of wear may not be visible in photos and require the experienced eye of our technicians.
If our diagnosis reveals that additional work is required, we will let you know before carrying out any repairs.
