I-Prone Inflatable Trainer 14'0
Program
The accessible endurance Prone Paddleboard, designed for long-distance paddling with smooth and efficient glide.
Overview
The I-Prone boards are high-end, purpose-built designs created by pioneering shaper Patrice Guénolé and a team of passionate engineers.
Designed to get you on the water as often as possible, improve your fitness and prepare you for your best sessions, these paddle boards are making a return to the inflatable range with a complete lineup.
Long, composed, and exceptionally stable in glide, the 14’ is the endurance benchmark of the range. It allows you to paddle for long periods kneeling or prone, with excellent tracking and a true feeling of efficiency.
The 14’ naturally settles you into a smooth and effective paddling rhythm. Its extended waterline length creates inertia, stabilizes trim, and allows you to maintain a strong cadence without constantly having to accelerate again. You monitor your speed, extend your distances, and see your progress session after session. An ideal board for longer outings, endurance training, and enjoying composed glide on flat water, calm seas, or long rolling swells.
Its premium woven fusion dropstitch construction, reinforced with dual stringers, provides the rigidity, lightness, and durability required for committed riding and intensive use. The Velvet Traction Pad Hardbrush delivers both secure technical grip and the comfort expected when paddling prone or on your knees: the contact feels pleasant, and the board remains comfortable even during long, intense sessions. Multiple handles make carrying and handling easier both on land and in the water. The quality standard of I-SUP Race boards applied to a board dedicated to paddling.
The 14’ changes the pace: it extends every paddle stroke, maintains speed effortlessly, and delivers that exhilarating sensation of moving forward without strain. You paddle straight, settle into your rhythm, and let the board run. It is the natural format for endurance prone paddling: efficiency, glide, stability in motion, and the desire to go farther every session.
The I-Prone Trainer 14’ is also an easy board to live with. Head out on the water with friends, clear your mind, and paddle through wind, glassy conditions, chop, or long swells, without the hassle of a fragile, bulky hard board.
Like all inflatable boards, everything fits neatly into one bag, with plenty of room for both the board and all your gear.
With its superb design and carefully selected materials, the I-Prone Trainer 14’ is the dedicated endurance prone program board you’ve been looking for. It’s truly a beautiful paddleboard offered at a remarkable price point for the premium segment.
Outline
Its long and narrow outline is designed for pure glide. Its streamlined lines are built to maximize paddling speed, with one of the narrowest noses and tails in the range.
Its rounded pin tail is highly tapered to minimize drag and improve water release. Its length provides the volume, inertia, and comfort expected for endurance prone paddling, delivering a more stable and composed stroke over long distances. The nose is extremely fine for continuous glide, even in choppy conditions.
Rocker
Its low rocker allows for maximum speed . If you want to increase the pace, its streamlined shape will accelerate effortlessly.
Rounded Pin Tail
We appreciate its particularly smooth glide, which is enhanced by the board's narrow profile and very pin tail shape. In terms of maneuverability, circling a buoy with its length and thin tail requires some skill. It's not designed for surfing, however, but it will certainly handle a good cross-country run.
Rails
The rails are round, like on all inflatable boards. But we used this natural shape to help the water glide over the board . The water doesn't stick to the rails.
Nose
The nose's slim profile is designed to maximize water penetration . Its lift is carefully distributed around the foot placement, with a consistent width under the knees and upper body to support sustained effort.
In more difficult conditions, its almost bow-like nose point allows it to pass through choppy waters serenely.

Understanding the GONG range?
What’s the difference between our SUP First, I-SUP, and I-Prone inflatable ranges?
What quiver setup?
The I-Prone boards are purpose-built designs that fit perfectly into a complete quiver. They are your prone cruising boards: narrow, efficient, and dynamic for improving paddling, rhythm, balance, and water-reading skills.
For accessories, consider a suitable leash, a premium US-box fin, and depending on your sessions, a water bottle or a small waterproof bag. As for boards, it all depends on your surfing style: a shortboard for performance surfing, a longboard for smooth flowing rides, a SUP surf board to combine paddling and waves, or an I-Surf if you want to travel light.
Which leash?
Your leash is your life jacket, never forget that. Check its condition before every session and replace it every year.
In all cases, we recommend always wearing one. To paddle freely without drag, choose a coiled SUP leash suited to your board length: it stays out of the way while paddling without compromising your safety.
Good to know:
Never leave your board in direct sunlight, especially an inflatable board, which heats up very quickly. Excessive heat can soften the materials and cause delamination. Never store it behind a car window or near any heat source.
Never let your board get heavily pounded in the waves, especially near shore. You must protect it from major impacts and stress. A wave that catches and rolls your board can cause serious damage.
Do not hold onto the leash indefinitely under heavy tension, as it may eventually snap. Avoid large waves and don’t fight against excessive force. If the leash breaks, it’s easy to replace but frustrating.
Stay away from oysters: they are one of the few shells sharp enough to cut your board and make it deflate within seconds. Extreme caution advised.
Do not let your inflatable board rub continuously against surfaces. For example, on a boat, your board may move with every wave and rub in the same place for hours. The material can wear away as if sanded down, eventually creating a hole that will need patching.
Never position the board between yourself and an incoming wave unless you want a broken nose ;-)
Do not paddle offshore in offshore winds, and avoid windy sessions in general: they are rarely enjoyable and always dangerous. Prone paddling carries real risks, even in seemingly calm conditions. Always anticipate these risks and protect yourself accordingly.

What is the GONG I-Prone Trainer 14’?
The I-Prone Trainer 14' is the endurance benchmark in the I-Prone range. It can be paddled kneeling or lying down, without a paddle, with a long, smooth and efficient glide.
It's the natural format for covering longer distances, maintaining a steady pace, working on your cardio, and enjoying a true average speed. More stable in motion than a 12-footer, and easier to manage than an 18-footer, it represents the best balance between accessibility, efficiency, and endurance.
This is the board for long, clean paddling sessions, with a real feeling of gliding close to the water.
Why choose the 14' rather than the 12'?
The 12' is more compact, more lively, easier to get out quickly, and more playful in small swells or short trajectories.
The 14' provides more waterline length, more inertia, greater stability while gliding, and better course-keeping. It requires fewer strokes and allows you to maintain a more consistent average speed. On a longer outing, the difference is clear: you paddle more smoothly, straighter, and for longer.
In summary: the 12' is the heart of the mixed and lively range; the 14' is the true accessible endurance format.
Why choose the 14th rather than the 18th?
The 18' pushes glide, inertia, and distance to the maximum. It's the ultra-endurance format, big lines, long swells, and highly committed surfers.
The 14' remains much simpler for everyday use. It's quicker to inflate, easier to handle single-handed, easier to transport, easier to maneuver, and more versatile in everyday conditions. It already offers true long-distance gliding, without the bulk or significant inertia of an 18'.
This is the most rational choice for training often and progressing in prone endurance without switching to an extreme format.
Is the I-Prone Trainer 14’ accessible?
Yes, it's actually the most accessible long format in the range.
Its length stabilizes the trim, supports the oar and is more forgiving of small variations in position than a 12'. In motion, it becomes very stable: it holds its line, maintains its speed and allows you to find a regular cadence.
It obviously requires a minimum of balance and positioning, because we are still on a true 21" thin prone paddleboard. But to get into prone endurance, the 14' is the most obvious model: easier to move straight, more comfortable over time, more stable under the body.
What is the benefit of the 14' for physical training?
The 14' is a machine for building a solid physical condition.
It allows you to work on your cardio, core strength, shoulders, back, breathing, cadence, and mental game on longer outings. The rowing motion is less choppy than in a smaller format: you can really establish a rhythm, maintain an average speed, increase distances, and measure your progress.
It is a very effective tool for all sliding sports, because it develops a specific physical base: endurance, muscle tone, positioning, reading the water and the ability to remain effective for a long time.
Can it be used in waves or swells?
The 14' is not designed for surfing hollow waves or linking short trajectories like the 10'6. It is not part of that program.
Its element is long glides: calm swells, bumps, glassy water, long diagonals and waves that allow it to let go. It likes clean trajectories, lines that stretch out, the small natural accelerations of the water.
In a swell that pushes without breaking, it becomes very interesting: it maintains its speed, remains directional, and allows you to really feel the water under the board. You have to anticipate changes in direction, but that's precisely what gives it that long, pure glide sensation.
Who is the I-Prone Trainer 14’ for?
It is aimed at paddlers who want an efficient prone paddleboard, durable in the effort, and capable of lengthening outings without becoming too exclusive.
It is the right choice for athletes who want to maintain or develop a high level of physical fitness, surfers who want to work on their paddling, and those who practice SUP, foil, wing, kite or coastal rescue and are looking for a very complete complementary training.
It is also the logical board for those who want to discover long distance prone with a more stable support than a 12', but less radical and less bulky than an 18'.
Why is the 14’ an important board in the I-Prone range?
Because it embodies the endurance program in its most balanced version.
The 10'6" is the most compact and surf-oriented board. The 12' is the core of the mixed range, lively and smooth. The 18' is the expert tool for ultra-distance paddling. The 14' sits at the heart of endurance paddling: long enough to offer efficiency, stable enough for extended paddling sessions, and simple enough for frequent outings.
This is the obvious choice for anyone who wants a true prone paddleboard for training, cardio, and long-distance paddling, without seeking the most extreme setup. It inspires you to go further, maintain a steady pace, and make every outing a real workout.
