The U14 World Champion joins Team GONG!

At just 12 years old, this young German talent, who lives in Tarifa with her family, will make her debut in GONG colors tomorrow at the Gran Canaria Surf-Freestyle event.

Having grown up on her famous home spot, shaped by its consistent conditions, Sofia is already one of the brightest prospects in wing foiling. The reigning U14 World Champion, as well as the current Spanish and German Champion, she has established herself as one of the most talented young riders of her generation.

A new generation taking over!

Her arrival comes at an exciting time for Surf-Freestyle, a discipline experiencing incredible growth where the new generation is already reshaping the competitive landscape. The best example came last year when her new GONG teammate, Benjamin Castenskiold, claimed the World Championship title at just 14 years old. More spectacular, more aerial and more creative than ever, Surf-Freestyle has become the ultimate playground for young talent.

A versatile rider, Sofia practices wing foiling, surfing, surf foiling, pump foiling, lowkite and kite foiling, with wing foiling as her favorite discipline. Her committed riding style, confidence in aerial maneuvers and infectious enthusiasm make her a perfect fit for the GONG DNA.

And you won't have to wait long to see her in action: tomorrow, Sofia will line up at the Gran Canaria Surf-Freestyle event, where she will compete for the first time wearing GONG colors.

Boardsports are truly a family affair. Her younger brother Sandro, just 9 years old, is already following in her footsteps on a 100% GONG setup. He also spends every spare moment on the water and is already showing exceptional potential. It's a name you'll almost certainly be hearing a lot more in the years to come.
