Surf Fork EPS
Description
Programme
The performance swallow mid-length for getting in early, drawing fast lines and laying down powerful carves with glide, drive and precision.
Overview
The Fork Mid is the board you pull out when you want to glide longer, draw stronger lines and keep your speed in imperfect waves. A board that gets going early, planes fast and turns soft sections into real surfing lines.
It takes the Fork’s explosive temperament and stretches it into a performance mid-length concept. More length for more paddle power, more momentum and more continuity through your lines, without ending up with a board that’s too wide, too thick or too tame.
Underfoot, the feel is powerful and fluid. The Fork Mid holds its speed, carries through weak zones and makes you want to set the rail and draw longer, fuller and more committed carves.
But it’s not just a stretched-out Fork. Its dimensions remain controlled to preserve bite, responsiveness and real precision through the turns. You get the glide of a mid-length without losing the drive and speed build-up of a performance board.
Its swallow tail keeps the shape’s driving character: hold, projection and acceleration under the back foot. The quad Single Tab setup further enhances that fast, drivey and controlled feel, ideal for holding speed in average or imperfect conditions.
The Fork Mid is made for surfers who want more paddle power, glide and line power, but refuse a soft or passive board. A sharp, fast and technical mid-length for surfing hard when the waves aren’t perfect.
More reach, more drive, more flow: the Fork Mid adds a whole new dimension to everyday sessions.
OUTLINE
The outline extends the Fork's DNA with a mid-length performance approach. You gain paddling, glide and line speed, but without making the board excessively wide or thick. The extra length brings efficiency, while the controlled dimensions preserve precision.
The forward wide point and the refined round point nose make wave entry easier and help the board get going early. Underfoot, you feel more length and more drive, while still keeping a sharp, responsive ride that can engage the rail and stay lively.
ROCKER
The rocker stays fairly flat to preserve the Fork’s natural glide and make the most of the mid-length format. It helps the board get up to speed quickly, maintain momentum and carry through softer sections with less effort.
This fast curve remains controlled so the ride never feels locked in. The Fork Mid keeps a real ability to change angle, set the rail and build speed again, without being held back by the board’s length.
BOTTOM
The single concave to double concave to V bottom gives the Fork Mid its balance of speed, control and manoeuvrability. The single concave under the front foot generates lift and acceleration, while the double concave adds grip through the fins.
The V in the tail makes rail-to-rail transitions easier and frees up the board’s length at the end of the carve. That’s what keeps the board fluid, fast and lively, despite the positive inertia of the mid-length format.
TAIL
The wide swallow tail retains the Fork's engine room: support, speed build-up and projection under the back foot. It provides the lift needed to accelerate through weaker sections and keep power through carves.
Its swallow cut acts like two effective anchor points. You keep drive and control, while freeing up the centre of the tail to maintain livelier handling than with a simply wide tail.
RAILS
The rails are thin and sharp to retain the bite of a performance board despite the mid-length format. They let you put the board on rail, hold your line and control speed through long carves.
This refined rail profile avoids the corky feel of an overly bulky mid-length. The board sits better in the water, keeps a precise feel and lets you push hard without losing contact with the wave face.

Buying guide
Who is it for?
For surfers who want more paddling, glide and line speed than with a short board, without stepping up to a mid-length that’s too tame. The Fork Mid is aimed at riders who want a longer board, but still one that’s technical, drivey and high-performance.
For experienced surfers who love the Fork’s fast, explosive DNA, but want more length to draw out their lines, make it through weaker sections and surf with more continuity.
For those who want an efficient board in average or imperfect conditions, with enough bite, speed build-up and control to push hard through carves.
What for?
To get in earlier, carry more momentum and draw longer lines in everyday waves. The Fork Mid turns its length into efficiency, glide and drive, without becoming heavy or passive.
To surf with more range. Its mid-length format lets you set the rail, lengthen your carves and hold speed where a shorter board would need more speed build-up.
To keep the Fork’s driving character: a powerful swallow tail, a quad Single Tab setup, projection under the back foot and a real ability to accelerate through weaker sections.
What board size?
The Fork Mid should be chosen with a performance mid-length approach: you use the length to gain paddling power and glide, but avoid going too high in volume so the board keeps its bite.
If you’re coming from a standard Fork or a short board, choose a size that gives you more length and comfort on take-off, without increasing the volume too much. The length already does a big part of the job.
If you’re after a more technical ride, stick to a dialled volume. The controlled dimensions, fine rails and moderate thickness are there to keep the board precise, able to engage with the water and respond under pressure.
Between two sizes, choose the bigger one to maximise paddling, glide and continuity in your lines. Choose the smaller one to keep more liveliness, responsiveness and control under the back foot.

What are the ideal waves?
Size: from small waves to medium-sized waves, depending on your level, build and spot.
Power: it performs best in soft to average waves, with enough drive and hold to stay high-performing when the wave picks up.
Shape: it’s especially effective in imperfect conditions: flat sections, chop, wind, bumpy waves or slightly disorganised lines. That’s where its length, swallow and quad let you keep momentum and draw clean lines.
What construction?
The Fork Mid really comes into its own in an EPS construction, because its programme calls for light weight, efficiency and a lively response underfoot.
EPS helps the board get going early, maintain speed build-up and stay dynamic despite its mid-length format. You get the glide and length, without losing the lively, performance-oriented feel you’re after.
It’s a coherent construction for a fast, technical board: more paddling power, more responsiveness, more projection, with enough liveliness to keep the ride active.
What fin setup?
The Fork Mid comes in a quad Single Tab setup. It’s the natural setup to get the most out of its swallow mid-length design: more drive, more projection and more hold when the board starts building speed.
The quad lets you keep speed through soft sections, draw long lines and push hard through carves without killing the glide. It also gives you the hold needed to control the board’s length at high speed.
For a balanced feel, choose a Round set. For a smoother, more fluid ride, the Leap set will be very accessible. For more drive and hold in fast lines, the Wall set will be a very coherent choice. For more speed build-up and projection out of turns, the Liner set will perfectly match the Fork Mid’s programme.
To sum it up simply: go for a quad that brings drive, hold and projection, so you can tap into the board’s full line speed.
Which shape should you choose?
Choose the Fork Mid if you want a longer, more gliding and more powerful Fork, while still keeping it sharp. A board made to gain paddling power and line speed, without losing the bite of a performance board.
Its elongated outline generates momentum. Its controlled dimensions keep it precise. Its fine rails provide hold. Its wide swallow tail brings speed build-up and projection. Its single / double / V bottom keeps speed, control and rail-to-rail flow. Its quad maximises drive.
The Fork Mid is therefore the right choice for surfers who want to surf fast, long and hard in imperfect conditions, with a high-performance, technical and highly responsive mid-length board.

Delivery
What exactly is the Fork Mid?
The Fork Mid is a performance swallow mid-length: a longer, more gliding and more powerful version of the Fork, designed to deliver more paddling, down-the-line speed and drive without losing the bite of a high-performance board.
Who is the Fork Mid for?
It’s aimed at experienced surfers who want more length than a short board, but refuse a soft or overly tame board. It’s a board built to surf fast, set the rail and lay down powerful carves in everyday waves.
What’s the difference compared with the classic Fork?
The classic Fork is more compact, more explosive and more direct. The Fork Mid adds length to get in earlier, carry more speed and draw out your lines for longer, with a more open feel while still staying technical.
Is it an easy board?
Its length makes paddling and take-off easier, but this is not a passive comfort board. The Fork Mid keeps controlled dimensions, thin rails and real responsiveness to maintain precise, committed handling.
What kind of waves does it work best in?
It performs best in small to medium waves, from soft to average, especially when the conditions are less than perfect: flat sections, chop, wind, bumpy waves or disorganised lines.
Should you choose it with a lot of volume?
No. The Fork Mid gets its performance from its length and shape, not from excess volume. The right amount of volume lets you make the most of the paddling and glide, while keeping the precision and bite you're looking for.
Why a quad setup on the Fork Mid?
The Single Tab quad maximises drive, projection and hold at high speed. It lets you keep momentum through softer sections, draw long lines and push hard through carves without killing the glide.
Can the Fork Mid replace a small-wave board?
Yes, if you're looking for a board that's higher-performance and more technical than a classic groveller. It gets going early, carries speed and makes it through weak sections, but with more rail engagement, drive and control than a board that's simply easy.
