The goal of the Carbon Tail is to offer you maximum customization that evolves with your progress and riding style.

In this context, replacing the inserts keeps your setup in perfect condition, even after hundreds of sessions.

The front insert is slightly longer (17 mm) than the rear (16 mm) to perfectly fit the shape of the Carbon Tail.

This difference ensures precise alignment with the shaft, delivering optimal glide.

Sold as a pair.


How to replace your inserts?

The factory inserts are glued in but don’t panic. 😎

To remove them, take a small sturdy tool: a Torx key or a flat screwdriver works perfectly. Tap lightly with a mallet on the tool placed against the insert to pop it out.

Then, place the new insert in its position. To check proper placement, try threading a screw by hand. If it goes in smoothly, the insert angle is correct.

However, if you feel resistance while hand-screwing, remove the insert and try again.

In most cases, the Carbon Tail’s fit keeps the insert securely in place. If you want to ensure complete stability, you can add a tiny drop of glue.
