Foil Stab Ypra Slalom V3 Atmo - Pro Team Series
Description
Programme
The Pro Team slalom and freerace stab for serious acceleration, holding clean lines at high speed, going into gybes full speed and building speed again instantly.
Overview
The Ypra Slalom V3 Atmo Pro Team Series stab is the carbon stab for riders who want to go very fast without stepping into the technical demands of a pure race setup.
It keeps the shape that made the Ypra Slalom V3 such a success, with a rare combination of speed, stability, manoeuvrability and accessibility in a foil capable of performing at the highest level.
Its 8.0 aspect ratio delivers an excellent balance of hydrodynamic efficiency, power and control. The stab reduces drag, keeps a clear presence underfoot and stays highly manoeuvrable through gybes.
The surface area is mainly concentrated over the central three quarters to maintain solid support and plenty of front foot pressure. Around the winglets, this distribution is set further back to increase the lateral lever arm and reinforce stability without lengthening the fuselage.
The fast profile supports strong acceleration and maintains a very high average speed. Its power and forgiveness also deliver an excellent low end, relatively early lift-off and very reliable speed build-up after gybes.
The 45° winglets strongly stabilise the foil in roll and yaw. They keep lines clean through chop, reduce unwanted movement and let you push full speed without any vagueness underfoot.
The short fuselage tightens carving radii and increases pitch responsiveness. The foil rolls easily into gybes, follows your input precisely and quickly returns to its maximum speed trim on the way out of the manoeuvre.
Its very pronounced drive delivers guided, readable and consistent lines. Every input is turned into useful speed, from the start of the carve through to the acceleration.
The 3K Texalium Purple clear prepreg carbon construction brings the stiffness, precision and strength needed to hold the profile under load and maintain consistent behaviour at very high speed.
The Ypra Slalom V3 Atmo Pro Team Series is therefore the stab for charging on reaches, wrapping buoys full speed and turning every gybe exit into acceleration.
ASPECT RATIO 8.0
The 8.0 aspect ratio balances efficiency, power, stability and manoeuvrability.
It cuts drag enough to support strong acceleration, without making the stab too neutral or too demanding in slower phases.
The foil keeps an excellent low end, plenty of support and great ease going into carves.

COMPACT OUTLINE
The outline remains less extreme than that of the Ypra Race, to keep the foil easier to fly and more natural through gybes.
The surface area is mainly distributed across the central three quarters to deliver solid support, plenty of front foot pressure and precise feedback from the foil.
This central concentration lets you push hard under load without requiring an overly large or draggy stab.

FAST, POWERFUL PROFILE
The profile reduces drag and supports strong acceleration on a beam reach as well as on broader points of sail.
It delivers clear feedback through the front foot, essential for loading the foil and controlling its balance precisely at high speed.
Its power and forgiveness maintain an excellent low end and let you regain speed after a gybe without stalling abruptly.

45° WINGLETS
The winglets provide strong foil stability in roll and yaw, especially on full-speed reaches and in choppy water.
Their rearward rake increases the lateral lever arm and offsets the lively feel of the short fuselage.
Their moderate 45° angle delivers plenty of control without locking up manoeuvrability in fast carves.

SHORT FUSELAGE
The short fuselage reduces carve radius and increases pitch responsiveness. Responsiveness that is ideal for reacting at full speed and pumping to build speed.
The foil rolls easily into gybes, quickly follows changes in foot pressure, and stays highly manoeuvrable despite its speed-oriented programme.
This low longitudinal inertia also makes it easier to return to a fast trim and build speed out of manoeuvres.

CONTROLLED DRIVE
The centre of pressure, the profile and the lever arms are balanced to deliver plenty of drive without making the stab too physical.
The lines are guided, the pressure stays easy to read, and the carve remains clean even when the rider is loading it really hard.
The foil prioritises efficiency and usable speed over excessive freedom that would blur the lines.

Buying guide
Who is it for?
The Ypra Slalom V3 Atmo Pro Team Series is aimed at advanced to expert riders who want to ride very fast in slalom, freerace or high-performance freeride.
You need to enjoy full-speed reaches, hard acceleration and committed gybes. This stab handles plenty of pressure and rewards riders who can really push through their stance.
Even so, it remains surprisingly easy for this level of performance. Its excellent low end, forgiving profile and winglets provide loads of control and let you progress towards very high speed without jumping straight into a pure race setup.
What for?
In slalom, the Ypra Slalom lets you load up on the reaches, round the buoys at high speed and build speed again instantly. Its short fuselage tightens the carving radius, while its winglets keep the foil perfectly locked in.
In freerace, it delivers very high top speed and average speed, with handling that is easier and more manoeuvrable than a pure race stab.
In fast freeride, it lets you charge on beam reaches and off the wind, hit your gybes hard and enjoy a precise foil without having to ride on the limit all the time.
Its very pronounced drive helps you hold clean lines. The foil follows a readable carve, stays consistent under load and turns rider input into acceleration.
Avoid it if…
The Ypra Slalom is not designed for beginners or riders primarily looking for smoothness and forgiveness.
If your priority is freedom in snaps and tightening lines, a Fluid or a Ypra Surf Freestyle will be more suitable.
For pure race, maximum VMG and the most extreme angles, the Ypra Race Micro V3 will be more efficient, but also more specialised.
For glide, freefly and pumping, the Veloce will be more coherent.
What size?
Ideally, pair an Ypra Slalom stab with an Ypra Slalom front wing in a matching size to keep a well-balanced aircraft.
A larger stab brings more front foot pressure, more low end and more stability. It makes control easier, but adds drag and slightly tones down manoeuvrability.
A smaller stab unlocks more speed, rail-to-rail response and liveliness. It reduces front foot pressure and requires more precision, especially at low speed and in gybes.
Avoid excessive size gaps between the front wing and the stab. A stab that is far too small creates a nose-down foil, forces you to push on the back foot and hurts both balance and real speed.

Equipments
This stab comes with all the screws needed to mount it to the fuselage:
- 2 M6 x 25 mm screws. for the V3 SuperLock connection.
- Stainless steel hardware suited to foil loads and marine use.
- Simple mounting from underneath the stab, with just two screws.
- Quick connection, easy to install, stiff while riding and easy to remove after the session.
Delivery
Who is the Ypra Slalom Pro Team Series stab for?
For advanced to expert riders who want to accelerate hard, ride at full speed and enter gybes very fast with plenty of control.
What’s the difference between the Ypra Slalom and the Ypra Race?
The Slalom is more manoeuvrable, more forgiving, easier at low speed and more natural through carves. The Race prioritises VMG, angles and absolute efficiency.
Is it really accessible for a competition stab?
Yes. It remains demanding, but its forgiving profile, low-end range and winglets make it surprisingly easy for this level of performance.
What are the winglets for?
They stabilise the foil in roll and yaw, reduce unwanted movement and keep your lines clean at very high speed.
Why is the fuselage short?
To tighten your carving turns, increase pitch responsiveness and build speed more easily out of the gybe.
Does it generate a lot of front foot pressure?
Yes. Its profile and central surface area provide direct feedback, letting you load up hard under pull and read the foil’s balance with precision.
Can it be used for freeride?
Yes, particularly for fast freeride and freerace. It lets you go very fast without the complexity of a pure race stab.
Is it compatible with the Micro V3 standard?
No. This version uses the standard V3 system and fits GONG V3 fuselages.
