Overview

The Curve V3 Atmo Perf Series stab is the stabiliser that simply boosts your foiling level.

Thanks to its solid lift from low speeds and its manoeuvrability-focused character, performance is boosted without any struggle.

Its simplicity is the key to its behaviour. Its very harmonious shape maximises rail-to-rail transitions, with a smooth and very natural roll, without ever getting ahead of you or needing to be forced.

It keeps the shape and construction that made the Curve H FG V3 such a success, and gets a brand-new Atmo look. A sleek, racy full black design that reinforces its premium character and instantly marks it as part of the range.

The relatively short front to rear span of its setup helps tighten turning radii and gives you a very lively foil underfoot. You can turn tight, build speed easily and keep excellent control with this lifty, responsive stab.

Its profile delivers very good control through carves and at high speed. Relatively generous, it sits in a surf / freeride tempo. Its grip makes it almost impossible to catch out, even in the whitewater.

Its low camber maximises efficiency while keeping plenty of liveliness and a snappy feel in surf when you want it.

When pumping, its generous surface area helps maintain flight and build speed back into the foil with great ease, even after touchdowns or loss of speed. Speed recovery is easy thanks to this stable, forgiving stab, with a relatively short fuselage and therefore plenty of freedom.

Built in multiaxial prepreg fibreglass, the Curve is robust, light and durable all at once. Its high-end construction guarantees consistent performance and great reliability, session after session.

Thanks to our technical innovations such as the round fuselage and the self-tightening interlocking system, stiffness is optimal and responsiveness enhanced, for top-level performance and a flawless experience.

In Perf Series fibreglass construction, this shape becomes more accessible while retaining its DNA of glide, ease and performance.

Elliptical outline

The Curve stab has an aspect ratio of 8.3, delivering strong hydrodynamic performance without compromising accessibility or manoeuvrability.

Its elliptical outline centres the lift and refines the tips to free up rail-to-rail transitions. The foil rolls naturally and easily from one edge to the other, without losing lift through the centre.

This shape delivers the Curve feel: an easy, playful, high-lift stab that lets you tighten your carves and keep a lively foil under your feet.

Powerful profile

The Curve profile is generous, high-lift and reassuring. It works across all the classic speeds of a surf / freeride programme, with plenty of support from low speeds onwards.

This presence makes take-off easier, helps with slow speed build-up, exits from manoeuvres and phases where the foil loses speed. You keep lift and control.

When pumping, this comfortable surface helps maintain flight and build speed easily, even after a touchdown, an imperfect transition or a soft section.

Low anhedral

The low anhedral lightly settles the foil in yaw, just enough to bring confidence and grip through carves and at high speed.

It also keeps a great deal of freedom in the ride. The foil is not locked in: it stays playful, lively and easy to place when the rider wants to turn tight.

This balance delivers an excellent compromise between stability, grip and manoeuvrability. You can commit to your carves without losing control.

Medium connection

The Curve stab fuselage is relatively short to give it a playful, manoeuvrable feel, with tighter carving radii.

This reduced lever arm makes the foil more responsive underfoot and helps you build speed at the end of a gybe, tack or carve.

The more generous surface area of the Curve compensates for this shorter lever arm: you keep the lift, pumping and comfort, without losing that manoeuvrable feel.

SuperLock self-tightening system

The SuperLock self-tightening stab connection has been designed to guarantee perfect tightening even after hours long sessions.

The more pressure you put into the stab, the tighter it fits into the fuselage.

The pressure angle makes it very easy to disassemble the stab, even after long sessions.

This fitting only requires two screws under the stab, which makes changing the front wing easier and faster.

This tightening principle is already validated for several years on our V2 stabs.

A more efficient foil shape

One of the key elements in the evolution of this range is the complete redesign of our foils to increase their structural and hydrodynamic qualities.

The V3 fuselage is:

The new round shape allows a 12% gain in glide and the thicker section approaching the stab increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.

Hours of calculations on extremely powerful computers have allowed us to optimize the smallest detail to maximize performance. The fillets of all our connections have been carefully studied and adjusted to minimize hydrodynamic disturbances and increase the rigidity and resistance of the assembly.

V3 Atmo, a new era

The V3 Atmo range marks a major leap forward in the design, manufacturing, and finishing of our foils. Reaching this new level of performance required far more than evolving the shapes. We rethought the entire process, from R&D to the finished product.

Every V3 Atmo shape is designed in 3D, digitally optimized, thoroughly tested by the GONG Team, and manufactured with an unprecedented level of precision. Profiles, thickness distribution, transitions, fillets, connection areas, and trailing edges have all been refined to reduce parasitic drag, improve water flow, and maximize efficiency.

Our new production facility enables manufacturing in an ultra-clean, highly controlled environment with a level of precision approaching that of the world's leading aerospace, motorsport, and high-performance composite industries. Optimized extraction of solvents and dust creates better working conditions while ensuring cleaner parts throughout every stage of production.

Tighter control over every step, from material handling, layup, machining, and molding to cooling and finishing, delivers an unprecedented level of accuracy, particularly on the trailing edges. This controlled refinement minimizes hydrodynamic disturbances, reduces noise, improves glide, and contributes to the overall performance gains of the V3 Atmo range.

But the real breakthrough isn't just producing a beautiful part, it's producing the same beautiful part every time. Every wing leaves the factory with the same profile, the same fit, the same trailing edge, the same stiffness, and the same ride feel. In foiling, even a few tenths of a millimeter can affect ventilation, stall behavior, noise, speed, and stability.

Who is it for?

This is the stab for riders looking above all for a stab that delivers a tight turning radius, while also offering good lift and comfortable pumping, even at the lowest speeds.

You definitely do not need to be a world champion to love this stab. Quite the opposite, it will really make life easier for progressing riders who want plenty of potential underfoot, without sacrificing ease of use.

What for?

It is highly versatile, but it really comes into its own in carves and wave riding, in small to medium-sized waves.

Thanks to its comfortable support, low-speed tolerance and very tight turning radius, these are the conditions where it truly excels.

It also works very well in freeride because it makes manoeuvres easier at the end of a reach, with its reduced span combined with generous lift that boosts the foil at the end of a gybe or tack.

Built using a technology developed specifically for glide, this stab is not suited to jumps or extreme manoeuvres. If you want to explore another dimension by getting into aerial freestyle, we recommend turning to the carbon models.

What size?

General guidelines for choosing stab sizes:

Your ideal size will depend on your board, your level, your weight, the conditions at your spot, and also your front wing.

A larger stab will make take-off easier because the foil will generate significant torque, which will tend to give it a higher angle of attack. It also means a more pronounced feedback through the front foot.

A smaller stab will be more technical on take-off but will boost speed and manoeuvrability. You also lose some support on the front foot, which means moving the foil forward in the boxes to regain that stability.

Always match the stab size to the front wing size to achieve balanced flight and harmonious performance between these two components.

Who is the Curve stab for?

For riders who want to turn tighter, pull off smooth manoeuvres, improve their carving, keep plenty of lift and enjoy a playful yet easy foil.

What’s the difference between Curve and Ascent?

The Ascent is smoother and more versatile. The Curve is more playful, more lifty and more geared towards manoeuvres, carving, surf foiling and wave riding.

What’s the difference between Curve and Fluid?

The Curve delivers more lift and is easier at low speed. The Fluid is much faster and looser, but more demanding at low speed and in turbulence.

Is it suitable for wing foiling?

Yes. It really makes gybes, tacks and speed build-up easier, and gives the foil a playful feel with good support at low speed.

Is it suitable for surf foiling?

Yes, especially in small to medium waves. It's very easy, helps you turn tight, build speed easily and stay flying through slower sections.

Is it suitable for pump foiling?

Yes, its generous surface area helps you stay flying and build speed easily. It’s not a pure performance pumping stab, but it’s very accessible and will make flat start take-offs easier.

Can you jump with the Curve Perf?

That is not what it is designed for. The Perf construction is built for glide, ease and progression. For aerial freestyle or heavy landings, choose a carbon model.

Which size should I choose?

Choose a larger size for more lift, comfort and pumping. Choose a smaller size for more manoeuvrability, speed and a looser foil feel. Note that it is already very large as standard, so there is no need to oversize it.
