Pump Foil Board Donut HDCC - 86 Second Hand 14968
Description
Program
The most maneuverable performance board in the range: fun, ultra playful, made for tight carving, looping trajectories, and maintaining cadence in pump foil.
Presentation
The Donut HDCC is the board that embraces a simple idea: in pump foiling, the pleasure does not only come from “lasting a long time”, it also comes from drawing, linking carves, charging the foil, relaunching, playing with speed and radius.
Where a Kluber aims for efficient simplicity, the Donut pushes the boundaries of maneuverability and carving without compromising stiffness or responsiveness. It's a high-performance board, but with that "fun" factor that makes you want to turn as much as go straight.
Its rocker profile stays true to the pumping philosophy: minimal tail rocker for efficiency and glide, with just enough to prevent nose-diving if you touch down. In practical terms, when you touch down, it doesn't stop abruptly: it skims, it remains rideable, and it gives you a chance to recover cleanly and get back into the swing of things. This is exactly what you expect from a board designed for chaining angle changes, which inevitably carries a higher risk of touchdowns.
The heart of the concept is its shape. The " peanut " outline isn't just an aesthetic flourish; it's a technical solution. Width is maintained where it's needed, at the front and back, to ensure stability and solid support, while the middle is narrowed to eliminate unnecessary surface area. This central narrowing reduces inertia and frees the board to rotate more freely: transitions between turns are faster, require less effort, and provide a more responsive feel underfoot. Compared to the Kluber V2, the narrower center clearly enhances carving responsiveness.
Similarly, the width under the toes of the rear foot has been increased to allow for a more powerful offset and more direct support. This creates a rear platform that can handle a load: you can lean into corners, apply pressure, and feel the board follow without any vagueness. It's a true board designed to hold a tight carve and exit with speed.
The rails are designed with control in mind: very soft at the front, like on the Kluber V2, so that touchdowns are progressive, without harsh braking or sudden catching. This forgiving front end, combined with the more responsive shape, makes the board extremely playful, intuitive, and dynamic. You're more daring, you turn more easily, and you're less likely to be penalized for minor imperfections.
The volumes are reduced in a controlled way: less unnecessary material, therefore more responsiveness, but enough structure to integrate the boxes with maximum rigidity. And these US SCS boxes follow the logic of the entire new range: more adjustment range, more mounting options, more freedom to set up your foil exactly as you like it.
The Donut is built with HDCC (High Density Core & Carbon), on par with the highest-performance models: full prepreg carbon lamination, three H-shaped carbon stringers, double-entry full carbon SCS box, all pressed in a steel mold and cured at 155°C. This ultra-rigid construction ensures direct power transmission: you load it, it responds instantly. And because the geometry comes from a steel mold, you have a stable, repeatable board that maintains its performance over time.
In terms of durability, the high-density foam is hydrophobic: zero stress in case of a serious impact. The rails are reinforced to withstand real-world use: handling, docks, repeated use. This isn't a board that looks fragile; it's a board built to be used hard.
Underfoot, you'll find the Ridge Traction Pad 3mm : thin, highly effective, comfortable, and above all, with no loss of board feel. The feedback is precise and consistent, which is crucial on a board that encourages weighting the back foot and varying the turn radius.
Ultimately, the Donut HDCC is lightweight, stiff, and strong, designed for those who want a high-performance board focused on maximum maneuverability: tight carving, committed lines, crisp acceleration, with the ability to maintain momentum and pump for extended periods. A "fun" board, yes; but fun because it's fast and turns sharply.

HDCC Technology
These boards have the high-performance HDCC (High Density Core & Carbon) technology. The manufacturing process is akin to that of a foil wing. The board is manufactured from aerospace-grade prepreg carbon fiber and a high-density foam core with mechanical properties that ensure structural cohesion and hydrophobicity in case of damage.
In a nutshell, it’s strong, stiff, and very lightweight
Industry-standard prepreg carbon fibers are positioned on the high-density foam core. Carbon H-stringers and full prepreg boxes are also placed before compression in a steel mold heated to 155°C to polymerize the resin. Mold pressure combined with high temperature ensures perfect layer cohesion to guarantee exemplary performance and durability.
Subsequently, the board is extracted from the mold. Board logos are applied. A thin layer of matte varnish is then applied to protect the board. The pad is glued, and the board is ready to ride!
This technology involves no sanding, hence no production waste. There's no sanding of the shape as it's molded, no sanding of the laminations which are pressed and fused, and no sanding of the hot coats which are integrated directly into the molding process. It's extremely costly to implement but the result is impeccably clean.
All our prototyping phases are tested on our own test benches. HDCC boards easily pass resistance tests with loads exceeding several hundred kilograms on the front foot.
The lower price compared to this exceptional technology is due to the efficiency of construction. Less human labor (about a quarter) equals lower expenses. Simply, with this board, you're primarily investing in well-assembled premium materials.
At GONG, our boards are top-of-the-line. Our competitive pricing is only possible due to direct sales, which eliminate intermediary markups. If, unfortunately, you break them, they are fully repairable with components we keep in stock for your favourite shape.

Pump Foil Board Donut HDCC - 86 Second Hand 14968 86

Buying guide
For whom?
The Donut is designed for foilers who prioritize fun and maneuverability without sacrificing performance. Ideal for tight carving, playing with the foil, and enjoying dynamic pumping with real sensations underfoot.
For what ?
For ultra-tight carving, playful pumping, and dynamic runs. A board designed to maximize maneuverability, performance, and a smile on the water.

What size?
When pumping, board size isn't determined by your weight but rather by your skill level. A 91cm board will be easier or more forgiving for a rider with less solid foundation, while an intermediate to expert rider will perform better on an 81cm board.
Indeed, greater length helps compensate for any inconsistencies in foot placement. And shorter length offers weight savings and therefore improved performance. It's all about compromise and choice, as always.

What is the ideal foil?
The Donuts are ideal with all the large wings in the Veloce, Trail, Sirus or Ultra Trail ranges, combined with the HM 70 and 77 masts, for easy and prolonged pumping.
They are also suitable for all V3 wings (with HM 70 and HM 77 masts), depending on your level, for even faster pumping.
