Overview

The Power is the most pivot-oriented fin in the quad range, designed to deliver maximum responsiveness and precision under the back foot. Its highly upright template, combined with a solid base and stiff construction, creates a direct anchor point that allows the surfer to redirect the board instantly. Where some quad setups can feel overly directional, the Power breaks that inertia and makes the board far more lively and reactive.

It allows for quick rail-to-rail transitions, tighter turns, and a more vertical approach through critical sections. Despite its pivot-focused design, it still maintains a solid level of control thanks to its base and well-balanced surface distribution. It performs especially well in fast and technical waves, where the ability to adjust lines quickly is essential.

Template

What size?

Fin sizing mainly depends on the following factors:

rider weight
surfing style
board volume
surf conditions

A heavier or more powerful surfer will need larger fins to maintain enough surface in the water for grip and control.

A lighter surfer can use smaller fins to reduce drag and make the board more manoeuvrable.

Surfing style also plays an important role. A surfer who prioritizes quick turns and short transitions may choose slightly smaller fins for more reactivity. A surfer who pushes hard through turns or surfs powerful waves will benefit from larger fins for more stability and drive.

In general:

Larger = more grip and control
Smaller = more speed and manoeuvrability

The more volume a board has, the more fin area is needed to control it.
