Anaël Beauchesne
About
Originally from Finistère in France and currently based in the Caribbean, Anael grew up surfing from a young age, building a strong connection to the ocean early on. Strapless kitesurfing naturally became an extension of his surfing, allowing him to stay on the water even when the wind picks up.
He was inspired to join the GONG team by its vision of spending as much time on the water as possible across all conditions and disciplines, along with its strong focus on progression, innovation, and pure time in the elements. His strength lies in his versatility across multiple watersports, supported by a sailing background that gives him a strong understanding of the sea and conditions, allowing him to adapt quickly on the water. Most proud of teaching himself kitesurfing later in life while also building a medical career and reaching World Cup level, he is now excited to continue balancing both passions, travel to the world’s best spots, and explore new conditions alongside his partner Clem.
