Lift at takeoff and speed
“A quick recap of my sessions on the Ultra Trail XXL.
For the 1500 cm² front wing, which seemed a bit small to me at first, there's actually excellent lift right from the start, even at low speed. Not quite as much as with a Sirus or a Curve, but it still deadstarts/rockstarts easily.
The wing is technical, but you gain speed quickly. It's surprisingly maneuverable for its wingspan. Once you're up on the mast, you really feel a great glide, it's easy to maintain speed, and above all, it flies fast.
Now I just need to improve so I can go for long distances!”
